It's kind of seems like the Dread are a faction made up of a number of different races reshaped by the witness powers. Which does go with the whole darkness takes troup.
Subjugators - Lubraeans
Weaver + Attendant - Psions
Tormentor - hinted to be possible clones of Nezarec
So that should mean the Husk and Grim are based on other species that Black Fleet already came into contact with.
Husk I believe to be Hive- but I think that it may be different in that Dread are in a way The Final Shape on the Witness’ terms. I think these are the races it has selected and then transformed to its likeness to carry out one last campaign and then freeze in a suspended universe at the moment it pleases to stop everything.
Subjugators are probably clones of Rhulk.
Tormentors came first, we fight Nezarec before he got his body.
The Husk have the Caretaker’s hood so it might be a scorn Wraith with a hive worm in it. (The models for the Wraith and Husk are similar)

I was getting fallen captain vibes off the Husks, so modified scorn does kind of make sense.

Well scorn aren’t technically new they are still fallen but corrupted by ether but taken were new since the taken king but the dread are like the entire new enemy faction

I've wanted a Prismatic Type Subclass combo since before we began wielding the darkness Subclasses. I am so excited that this is finally a thing.
I just realized, you could get stareaters for needlestorm or get both celestial and stareaters in one exotic

it has random rolls, so you can mix and match 2 exotic perks from ANY classes exotics. they showed the titan with star eater and ophidian, and a warlock that had synthoceps

It'll be interesting to see how subclass responsive armour/universal ornaments sets will respond to the prismatic subclass new colour or maybe a combination somehow depending on that you have equipped in your subclass

This might be the OCD in me talking but i was hoping for a 6th new element of a dark subclass (that way 3 light 3 dark). Not to say this new combination mechanic isn't awesome, i just need balance lol

i'm hoping we still will (supposedly) in one of those chapter expansions after final shape because i NEED that perfect 3 light class and 3 dark class and i have read so many great ideas for the third dark subclass that it would be a fail if we don't get it

I love the new enemies but I can't help but feel their reveal would of been more impact full back when the pyramids first invaded. My point being is the invasion didn't feel like an invasion, the threat felt asleep.

they are going to add stuff like this with each episode the same way they added aspects to strand and stasis to make the subclass more whole. Prismatic will be in its beta stage when we actually receive it in FS, and will become complete and stronger once bungie updates it according to live playtesting
Like a 2 elemental super would be awesome, I have a WIP of the three classes with their super combos:
Warlock - Stasis and Solar
Hunter - Void and Strand
Titan - Arc and a mystery Red element
It's a great feeling to finally feel a little but hype again.

@nahfr. but the exotic class armour pieces are going to have random rolled perks, so there no need to collect exotic from other classes unless you just want to play the other classes

It looks beautiful as always! The dread are really cool and they may be difficult to combat in the beginning since they fight in a whole new way! It seems like the dread are compiled of different races so would be cool to learn more about them!

My hauberk plus strand is going to be absolutely fucking wild I am so excited. I am a little disappointed that the subclass isn’t resonance, but prismatic is really cool too.
Did you notice that taken have a different look now? (like, the sphere of their faces will now be the same color as the resonance)
My 2 thoughts on who is inside the traveler. Either taox or the precursor from the expanded lore book

I hope we get more enemy variants with the Dread, 5 (plus archetypes) is good, but if there where like giant walking beasts that kinda looked like Cabal and had darkness matter infused into them, walking around firing grenades, would be sick...Nice to see the whole 'imprint' thing with Rhulk too. Final Shape is gonna be dope

I'm hoping they'll be transmoged aswell but with the current state of Bungie. Eververse ornament will probably be the more likely options.

Uh😅 in other words, They Just Cooked up something creative and awesome! It's been my wish somewhat to not have to switch subclasses. Now with this "Prismatic" class I can just combine the abilities and elements I want! Awesome job Bungie! You get a trophy🏆 for being creative.

I’m assuming that the new exotic class items can’t work with every exotic. Like I don’t think the titan’s mark won’t get Celestial nighthawk’s perk, or the hunter cloak won’t get Cuirass of the falling star’s perk

The exotic ornaments letting you combine 2 exotic armor abilities, will that not make exotic armor useless then as everyone will just use that?
Yeah but some most exotics have been updated adding more perks. U don't get all that just part of that. Some help do weapon damage or certain things. Can't get that. Just the main perk
They’re changing it more like diablo editing
When that entity says “we are the light of hope” I know it could just be referring to guardians. However, it reminds me of how the Witness speaks as a “we”. I think the entity inside the traveler may be the precursor(s) who escaped before the Witness came into being. Not only does the Witness need the Veil but it also believes it needs the rest of its people to succeed.
Looks promising but so did lightfall when it was announced so I’ll be cautiously optimistic until proven otherwise

The new subclass looks insane feels worth it. I can already tell that the subclass will get a nerf as pvp will be unplayable from the new underdevelopment meta forming.

They've been sitting on this for a year or longer and never got leaked I'm impressed tbh. Also if this never was leaked what else do they have in store they're holding back bc they aren't going to give us everything right away if they have plans for after the final shape.
There is a clip where it looks like the ghost is dead or being revived by us. Think we die and transcend the need for a ghost.

The dread is really exciting to me. Nice to see d2 starting to stray away from champs for difficulty. Hoping this continues. I want to be put on my knees. The legend onslaught is an incredible feeling challenge.
I wish their is an new alien race based b the Protoss from StarCraft or the eldar from Warhammer 40k.

Ahhh see the way i did it in my head was that we get to CHOOSE the 2 subclasses we want. But it kinda degrades it if hunter ONLY gets stasis and solar, Titans get stand and arc and warlocks get stasis and void when ascendent takes back some creativity but its still AMAZING. Like we gonna be so broken imagine crucible😂😂😂

Destiny 1's Taken King and Nightstalker/Sunbreaker/Stormtrance I thought all the subclass were great and the campaign is still maybe the 2nd best in the series
