- The new Final Shape powers like the Pale Heart combine light and Darkness. Guardians can wield multiple elements at the same time and live out their lore fantasies in the games sandbox. Today we discuss the story of Prismatic. It’s always been around, others have used it before and it’s been hinted at for years.

So technically Nezarec was kinda the first person to almost reach Transcendence/Prismatic.
Since The Light & The Darkness was originally a whole, us Guardians are essentially setting everything back to how they used to be possibly.
We are setting our final shape
@@anotherfriendlyshikikan6960this is MY Destiny 2: The Final Shape Witness!
No he wasn't. He HAD both but he didn't use both at the same time
@@reggielacey2235 Never said he did use both. I said he was the closest to reach Transcendnce🙄
@@brmawe technically before Nezarec, the awoken use light and dark both I don’t think either have used both at the same time which is what prismatic is. I believe like strand, Guardians are the first true users of both at the same time.
Me watching Ikora Nova bomb an ogre then use a Kamehameha 👁️👄👁️
Litteraly, she been doing this 😂
@@ForTheViolence no she probably has an exotic that allows her to do that at the cost of a 12 minute cooldown (warlock bond that she has)
That isn't Prismatic, lorewise guardians aren't bound by subclasses
That is a little different. Lore wise, any guardian can use multiple light base supers/powers. But it’s a first for a guardian to simultaneously use both dark and light.
She's running 1000 intelligence and swapped subclasses with her app 👀
I think people are confusing using multiple light abilities with prismatic. It makes sense lore wise that guardians would be able to use all three light subclasses at will just like how Ikora does, probably not as efficient as her though. But prismatic is the use of both light AND dark. The closest thing we saw in game was Nezarec. This will be the first time we see light and dark work together in this manner. Which is exciting!
This
Didn't Osiris do the same things as well
Nezerac didn't use both at the same time. Just having both isn't enough. By that logic most guardians have it like drifter
@@RandomGuy-ci9nt I don't think so. Do you know when he would've?
@@reggielacey2235 and that's why I said "the closest" because he never used it together.
Not only was it always here, I have a feeling this combining of powers/achieving a new level is what is going to grab the attention of the Nine after we kill the Witness. The Prophecy dungeon is full of the same colour palette that the Prismatic subclass is and I dont think that's a coincidence. Especially the ribbon sparrow section...
I think the Nine will show up and be all like we've been waiting for you to level up. Welcome. Check out these new multiversal threats. Lets go get em
Pure copium but I’m huffing it so hard
@@Metal4ever69 Hahaha maybe some copium but, and this will be a wildly unpopular opinion, I have faith in Bungie. They eventually always overdeliver. There's periods and phases of doom and gloom but they eventually deliver amazing content. Which is why we are all still here. Regarding Prismatic - Bungie has a documented history of leaving breadcrumbs, going all the way back to D1. There is no clear motive or objective of the Nine other than these ultra powerful hyper dimensional beings. I think the Traveller's origins and us ascending to a new light weilding level will tie into the Nine and what they're about. Maybe some copium inhalation here but I sure am inhaling hard! Hahaha
I'm here for it
There was a Warlock called Ulan-Tan who was also known as the Symmetrist. He believed light and darkness must coexist and both would be necessary to stop what was coming.
His armor set was interesting, since it was split like a ying-yang, half representing darkness and the other half representing light.
Look at the Prismatic heart. It looks exactly like the Black heart in the way that its held between some U shaped object. The Black Heart is to the Veil as the Pale Heart is to the Traveler. When they were combined in the original Garden, they were the Prismatic Heart.
Upping this one ⬆️
I thought the black heart though was made by the vex which was a failed representation of the veil?
Go do the mission preservation. It looks like the symbol I seen Thts a mystery
The black heart was the vexs attempt at making the veil and it failed
Bros cooking fr
Y'all gotta remember that Pismatic is the power of Light and Dark COMBINED
The stuff Ikora does is just normal lore-accurate Guardian activity for someone of her power level. She doesn't have Strand or Stasis.
I’m praying we still get Resonance as a subclass. I feel like prismatic should come at the end when we finally beat the Witness
Its not they specifically said we are getting it the second we start the campaign
@@nttreaper4875 ohhhh shit really???
@@ricardotolbert1797 ya
While we know we're getting Prismatic from the start, I think it's still possible we'll get a Darkness subclass during TFS or Echoes. Think about it, are they really going to give players who haven't bought Beyond Light or Lightfall Stasis and Strand abilities respectively? Maybe they will, but it seems kinda unlikely to me.
The big smoking gun on getting another Darkness subclass is this though: Solar represents growth while Stasis represents entropy, Arc represents the bioelectricity that holds all life together physically while Stand represents the psychic energy that holds all minds together, but what about Void? It represents the cosmic bonds holding matter together, but it doesn't have a Dark mirror yet. Doesn't it feel odd to end the L&D Saga without fully utilising the full spectrum of both?
There's an *even bigger* smoking gun though: if we were to get another Dark subclass, we'd have three of each for a total of six, then adding the subclass representing our ability to go beyond the conventional bounds of Light and Dark would make *seven*, Bungie's favourite number.
@@Feksen1 I would say resonance is about symmetry or order. That’s the dark mirror to arc. Maybe and your right about Bungie and their numbers. Also 6 represents the sides of a prism. A Prism is a six sided triangle
Prismatic is cool, but I don’t want it to *replace* our 3rd darkness subclass.
Conditional finality is hint to what is coming in the future. It’s basically our first prismatic weapon. I really hope we get a weapon with headstone/incandescent.
Chill clip/incandescent*
Ignite then turn into crystals...wicked
Always thought it would be cool to give kinetic a subclass as well.
You forgot that within the Throne World there are "windows" or things like them that are way similar than the prismatic portal over the Traveler.
I mean, Savathun knows a lot of stuff, including darkness AND light, as she is a risen too and loves experimenting with both
Those were Savathun's eyes around the Throne world to keep an eye on everything.
When we saw the Beta of D1 we saw a Warlock with Nova bomb and also using a solar grenade. Also we saw the same Warlock with a Hunter knife melee 😅
Yup
That's what I've been saying
Not the same
Prismatics light AND dark...thats just light
That's the beta they were still fighting things out at the time. You can't really count that...
i kind of figured prismatic has always been here because when i seen ikora in red war use multiple supers and subclasses same time, i knew prismatic was here always the second it was revealed
Me too, but I never thought we'd get to wield the light like guardians in the lore.
Ikora also throws a nova bomb at an ogre then chaos reaches open a hive barrier for us in witch queen too, her super recharge rate is non-existent lol.
Got to agree with you there I'm pretty sure there's somewhere in the lower where Osiris was basically going around doing crazy things in Dawnblade, and then if you remember the curse of Osiris trailer bro had both top tree and bottom tree Don blade at the same time
I think this might be the first tike that light and darkness subclasses were wielded simultaneously tho. Ikora wields multiple light subclass but not dark and light ones.
Well that’s not really prismatic. They are just welding light subclasses which lore wise, every guardian can wield multiple elements. Just for gameplay reasons we haven’t been able to be so fluid with it until now. If you look up commander Zavala for instance, he is listed as a striker, and sentinel. So we aren’t locked to one element
Mixing Light is a normal world concept the light was always the guardians
The vanguard can likely even use other light classes but have a stronger or better knowledge of a particular class ei cayde solar and zavala void (plus it fits the character themes)
Also Ikora is a warlock (mage) showing here as a more balanced user was likely a call back to dps tank support where supports tended to heal and use various mage as offense and cc
Mixing Light and Dark is far more than mixing light, as the guardians are really the only ones being shown to use all 5 elements, and unless I missed something in my break no one has wielded stasis and strand so it could be harder than void/solar/arc
id just like to say, that not all mentions of prismatic is connected to the subclass, sometimes its just describing colors
It's meant to infer that you become the prism channeling the spectrums of light/dark like light with a prism, mainly there to Satiate the lore nerds
The cutscenes in the final shape better go crazy.
The blue and yellow effect around Nezarec as shown at 5:20 looks like Haidinger's Brushes - a visual artifact tied to the human eye's perception of polarised light
E3 gameplay reveal when warlock threw a solar nade, used a nova bomb and had a hunter knife
I can imagine they are giving us this now cause i believe theres one more darkness subclass that they are keeping hidden. A power from the darkness that won't be the same and change our guardian forever. And the only way to achieve that power is through lose and rage. We will lose everything, in return, gain everything through pain.
Pretty sure there’s a lore book that says using light and darkness together in harmony was our guardians “Destiny.” Pretty fucking awesome how it comes full circle
I love the idea of prismatic. And exotic class items will be cool. I just hope they can be Transmoged and shaded.
What we have seen I give it a 8/10 I hope the campaign is even better
would be nice if they gave us iconic d1 class items as ornaments for it
You're right. I've seen loads of guardians using it in the crucible.
You should make yourself a discord. One for lore and destiny lfg. Having a server for lore would be really fun and help people who have questions
I’m waiting for ikoras yearly involvement where she does 1 super and talk the rest
I cant wait for your final shape lore videos! This is hopefully going to be a good expansion. Looking forward to seeing them!
That spike pointing towards the Portal from the Winess's Ship........... I STILL think has a link, .... a role to play, what though? I do do not know.
Don't you just love all the lightish-red in this video
i absolutely love when games have this stuff where its like the new big thing has been in the game for years but we are just now being able to see that and understand it
oh this whole time i thought Nezarec was being revived with Calus's cloning tech and the Tormentors are the product of that. and the Traveler's beam just sped things up as well as granting him light since he was revived by it
Even if Prismatic wasn't relevant all the way back at the last clip there. It's still cool seeing Oryx mentioned way back then
My “what ifs” was here since d1 i knew this would happen
I was hoping Conditional had a cool prismatic lore entry, don't own it, so haven't checked
Edit: It seems a lot of players confuse mixing Light with Light and Light with Dark
What prismatic represents true mastery like Nimbus said light plus dark, this is an unheard of thing to "everyone" in the game
Almost as insane as Zavala felt when he heard the travel gave the enemies the light and that darkness could be wielded by foe and ally
Mixing Light is a normal world concept. The light was always the guardians
The vanguard can likely even use other light classes but have a stronger or better knowledge of a particular class ei Cayde solar ("sparky and joy bringing but quick to be riled up) and Zavala void (I mean bubble titan, what's more squad protection then an immortal barrier?)
Also, Ikora is a warlock (mage) showing her as a more balanced user was likely a call back to dps-tank-support where supports tended to heal and use various magic as offense and cc
Mixing Light and Dark is far more than mixing light. The guardians are really the only ones being shown to use all 5 elements, and unless I missed something in my break, no one has wielded stasis and strand together. Doing so could be harder than void-solar-arc lore wise.
This is what I was thinking about when we were told about prismatic. When they spoke about it on Neoluna
"To know true color"... guys, this wasn't just hinted at in D1... Bob Ross himself teased this release all the way back in the 80's!
In a story mission in either Witch Queen or Season of the Witch Ikora used a Nova Bomb followed by chaos reach to open the door of Savathun's Spire
My boi bringing us the good stuff :)) Keep it up, bro!!!
everyone, ikora or zavala using multiple supers and stuff is not prismatic, prismatic is light and dark lmao
Oryx-Bng...Huh. Not a name I was expecting from the 2013 reveal.
the ending of destiny was always infront of our eyes
“STARLA!”
Unrelated to prismatic but do you think we will get more info on the first knife? I think its the weapon the witness uses to cut and piece things together
Its possible that the witness IS the knife, being wielded by the winnower (the veil) to cut the garden into shape
notice how the base of the roots of the tree or silver wings on the pyramid ship are a the same pink of prismatic as well
Oh that Looks Cool
“Even the dead are not beyond our reach” Riven. Would the Awoken have been able to perform that ritual if they hadn’t been created by both light and dark? 🤔
100% using the Irradiant Charoite Shader with prismatic
Prismatic is also in savathuns ship
There was a clue as well when got the preorder and got the emote where youre sitting floating with the ghost in one hand.
Jank builds will finally exist
Maybe they were saving it for later to make us stay after the next expansion
We basically had a prismatic weapon in condition finality
Didn't they say nobody has ever done this before
Nezerac HAD both but he never used both at the SAME time
I wonder what they keybind for prismatic will be
Can finally use blink and strand webslinging together???
holuo that was just straight up resonance
theory time
so when we unlock prismatic theres light which could be mistaken for arc but then you look the right original thought solar but that wouldnt make sense so its gotta be resonance
so either in the episodes or d3 its basically gauranteed we get to use resonance
other side weve never used pure light so maybe not
It’s less of a subclass and more of our guardian having ADHD
This isn’t a lore thing but that light and dark guardian armor, pretty sure that’s going to be the raid armor. Someone did say “we need this in Destiny”
Yes that is meaning Prismatic but doesn’t mean they can’t continue with the vision and bring that concept armor too
I really hope it's the raid armor. It's so badass.
And this is probably a controversial take, but I hope it's the same armor for all 3 classes to go along with the theme of a classless Destiny.
I've seen it multiple places neomuna / wave splitter screen/the new pre order wepon have all colors of our supers and the upcoming one I'll look for more stuff like this
Remember when we thought they were making a red subclass possibly resonance what if that was just a early prismatic
I think there’s gotta be a form of darkness we haven’t wielded yet and maybe we never will/can, but I doubt resonance was or would be it
Still hope there will be a third darlness subclass.
I still think the red Dark subclass is coming. It'll probably be tied to one of the episodes.
I don't disagree with you but I think because of prismatic the chances of a red subclass in the early episodes greatly decreased
The real prismatic was inside us all along
Wasn't drifter pretty much a prismatic user lore wise?
What about the Prismatc Bosses in the EAZ?
Cayde 6 using blink after golden gun
I remember that and I wanna have it
So tessellation will be the first prismatic weapon we’ll use meaning it’ll be a transcendent weapon !
It was meant for d3. They got scared because of no pre-orders and released it now
I don't know if anyone knows this and has no relivents to the video but there is a cat and a dead ghost under shaxs in the hall of champions.
Looking closely into available abilities for that subclass on hunter i have a feeling that it will not have a chance against mono element subclasses. They took dull aspects for it. Was so exited, and now I'm completely disappointed
At least wait for it to come before you Start bitching
I want the last darkness subclass
this was make it clear, theres no D3 at least in 3-5 Year or so.
I’m tellin yall n u evaze go play preservation mission. Thers sumthing there wit the symbols idk if it’s a story or a mission u can activate things bt nothing happens unless thers a correct order I’m not seeing. They have a whole worm god in the ship at the end.
most of the people in the comments doesn't know the difference between light and dark.
Didn't we transcend in taken king before we had a 1v1 with oryx
Different kinda thing
Wat if the traveler uses darkness n turns it into light energy which is y when we go in we get these powers bein immersed in the energy inside the traveler.
What is the soundtrack in the intro
Were the Gardener and Winnower also One being?
No
Obviously it's been hinted at for years. Haven't yall seen the well titan in trials matches?
Not the same
@@reggielacey2235 cap
Well if we where supposed to be the savior of everything then why are we just getting it?
We gonna be building that trans energy in the final shape lol
There’s no way everyone is gonna say “ transcendent energy “ every time.
Ofc it was always there cuz its just old supers and abilities 😂😂
Yeah the D1 gameplay videos were so cringe. 😮💨
god i hate that fake e3 demo talk at the end
Never played D1 but the showcase video you played at the end looked so jank 🤣
Haw to kill crosibol😂
I wanted 3 power of darkness
Tanalorr is mi- wait wrong sci-fi game
im not going to wear those @(#ing ugly exotic class items tho but prismatic sounds fun
D1 early footage was cringe
Looks lame taken powers looked cooler
D1 is still better.
LGBTQ+ HEAVEN
Well ya...its all recycled content.
How?
@@Byleth_04 all the abilities and skills are already in the game. It's pretty clear that prismatic wasn't meant to be a subclass in the beginning more of a system. Regardless my comment is a joke.
@JGburneraccount it's hard to tell your comment was a joke or not but I do agree with you even though I'm hyped for prismatic
@@Byleth_04 don't get me wrong I'm excited too. I'm just hoping we can also see a red subclass at some point.
Boo hoo
So much we didn't know but soon we'll be painting with all the colors of the wind
They just doing this since they didnt have a new actual subclass ready
Female custodians always were here!
I just wanted red rage...
Now we will obtain ultimate power and truly become The Final Shape as one entity. I wonder what the episodes and Destiny 3 will have in store for us? I can't wait.
Yeah well if it was hinted since 2015 taken king Maybe we should have had these kind of abilities since destiny 2 2017! ... Maybe then destiny 2 2017 would have never felt like a reboot and not a sequel. Seems like the destiny franchise is rehash and stuff from the past to go backwards not forward.
Honestly, I can see bungie toying with the idea way back and teasing it with the writings of the followers of osiris. Osiris was originally meant to be some sort of guide through paracausality. Though considering how the Cult is now, it could also be a monkey and typewriters situation or a bit of both. They are so close but keep getting their heads stuck up thier asses.
More of an ascension. Not another subclass. We are still missing the 6th subclass. It will be revealed later.
Savathun also have prismatic windows in her throne world.
Ikora uses multiple different supers.
