(For steam users): Disabling the steam overlay really helped in a smoother experience. Ironically I had it enabled in order to view the fps counter and I went to hell and back to figure what was causing the stuttering, wasn’t getting more than 85 fps on ‘low’ whereas I checked benchmark videos for my system, should have given me over 100. Long story short: Disabling the steam overlay may help some of you in addition to the other fixes

when i do that it doesnt let me play with my controller. i tried going into settings to change it but it only has keyboard+mouse and keyboard only, no option to change back to controller even though i use a wired one and use it to start from launch :/

Nice guide, I pretty much already tried all of this but did forget about the overlays running in system task bar! In the end it was nvdia experience dropping my framerate from 180 fps to 40 FPS and below!
for me fifa works fine for career mode etc. my controller works fine in the menus and the game runs okay, however when I get in a division rivals game I lag so hard to the point where it's unplayable. internet connection is fine and I have checked my settings too.. (theres a red lag icon popping up all the time)

Read again what the minimum requirement of FIFA 23. GTX 1050ti is the minimum and you haveGTX 1050 ofcourse you cant have the same result like FIFA 22 which has lower minium req.

I have a 3090ti and was still getting stuttering while gameplay, switched to borderless windowed option under display settings instead of full screen and the issu got sorted out.
Yep it does. But finally, the issue came back. Fifa is struggling during the first 2-3 mins of the game, then it run fine. It looks like the graphic card need to wake up lol.

what fixed for me was for literal freezy/laggy gameplay i put medium rendering quality, and disconnected my hdmi. after that, it works fine, but it sometimes stutters when i go to the penalty box area and my controller cant do anything sometimes. so the fix for this was, i used lock to 30 fps, and so far, no more problems after that

Your rig is too weak.. gtx 1050 is a very old GPU unfortunately.

my pc specs is i3 4th gen gt 1030 ti ram 8gb so is this process going to work? and im playing offline activation so when i play kickoff my ingame perfomance is like 20+ fps all i want is more fps to playable hope you give me some suggestions and im working in your process

did all of these and i only got a boost with 10 frames i still average 60 fps with a 3060 which is odd
theres an option in game that caps you at 60 or 30, or unlimted. select no limit.
@@grantlogan9207 no its not that but thanks i fixed it was because for some reason my ram speed was 800 instead of 3600.
how do you fix the ram speed? thats the problem with mine as well, i know it. are you referring to your computer or settings for the game.

i think the game itself its broken. it doesn't make any sense i have the same fps even better on high settings while so much struggling on medium settings.
Edited: now im playing on ultra settings it's still the same fps as the medium lol

@@ilfouco1541 the answer is : bcz it's FUCKIN EA. sorry but tbh im tired playing this game. i was a PES player, since it changed to efuckinfootball EA has no competitors anymore. so i dunno and not sure if EA will fix the game or not. they never understand PC community since long. i just hope everyone gets tired and stop buying this shit again from EA untill they realize.

i have rtx 3060 12gb , 32 gb ram, i5-10600k 4.10 ghz cpu but fifa is laggy lol, i can play all games on ultra settings with high fps but fifa is laggy lol

what fixed for me was
for literal freezy/laggy gameplay
i put medium rendering quality, and disconnected my hdmi. after that, it works fine, but it sometimes stutters when i go to the penalty box area and my controller cant do anything sometimes. so the fix for this was, i used lock to 30 fps, and so far, no more problems after that
