Honest question, how do you play this game? Do you not look at the guitar and play normally like it comes naturally to you or do you look back and forth from the fret board to the screen?
You should focus on the screen and play what it's shown. It takes a little bit of adapting and maybe a reason why experienced guitar players struggle with it initially more than a newbie that's just starting and not doing a full song at first, using riff repeater and slowing down parts to master them little by little.
It really is easy, practically at the beginning it is a little complicated, but as the days go by you don't even need to see the tuning fork, but from your own experience, I recommend that you see more of the tuning fork and
