@@soul741xD. That explains a lot. Like being the top mangaka in shounen jack and having a natrual talent for making manga. And the work ethic of Oda that is seemingly unparalleled by any other person (I'm not saying the others dont work as hard but damn Oda sensei is scary)
Unnamed Shadow he was inspired by hxh author togashi who hated drawing and aoki is inspired by sailor moon author who encouraged togashi to draw actually
Haha really ? :D That's so awesome ! Mashiro and Takagi are sure great and all, but Niizuma and Hiramaru are such original, funny and well-developed characters ! That makes them really interesting. ^_^ I think they totally deserved these two first places !
Ryouzaki49 Err... mistake. Actually, he got third place. Mashiro got second. Niizuma's still one though. Takagi got 4th place. And an additional fun fact the character from Otter 11 actually got 7th place in the popularity poll.
+Date Masamune Oh well Mashiro was still awesome, he deserved it ! Haha I love how Otter 11 got a place before the "real" characters XD Doesn't surprise me though, Hiramaru's manga seemed pretty amazing :D
+Ryouzaki49 For me,it's my 2nd crossover ship concerning Ichigo. The 1st is with Akashiya Moka from Rosario+Vampire (their determination, guts, style, badassery, role as main protectors of the story, double personalities, need for an object to release their powers and respective backgrounds - that for the ones who have read the Rosario manga - make them a perfect fit)
+Ryouzaki49 I suggest you better read the manga. The story is better there, while in anime the studio kind of messed up the script. The anime's only good aspect is that you get to know what voices to visualize while reading the manga (the female cast is top-notch and coicidentally consists of 4 of my most favorite VAs - Moka's being my No1)
I think probably the funniest part of that scene starts around 3:01. When I first saw this, I expected her to kiss him. Then Hiramaru suddenly started jumping around because he was so happy. I had to laugh so much because Aoki was still standing there as if she wanted to kiss him xD
My favorite thing about revisiting and watching all of the anime together with my wife after having read the manga in full years ago is that I realized why the drama and comedy was so good. The characters felt very real. They all had their issues, moments of failure and triumph and growth. Aoki is a prime example of growth. Heck, even Eiji is. At first, he was just this genius who drew whatever he wanted and was extremely loud and flamboyant. Now, he takes competition more seriously and is more serious but still funny and humble about his work, but not afraid to show confidence in it. Hiramaru and Yoshida's relationship is hilarious. I love that Yoshida starts to think about how much Hiramaru has done for him and feels he has done nothing legitimately kind for Hiramaru, so he finally supports him in this chance. Hiramaru grows into a lazy genius with no motivation to a surprisingly devoted lover who actually starts to enjoy his own work a little. Mashiro and Takagi hold strong to their no-compromise attitude throughout the series but begin to understand the difficulties that come with such a big dream. Their tenacity to work through several failures is quite inspiring actually. Nakai has garnered a lot of love-hate from me. He's gone to feeling too sorry for himself to higher places and then feeling others owe him. He's had many moments of flaws, but Mashiro and them never failed to remind him he really is incredibly talented and shouldn't waste that. He has his low points and major problems of womanizing. He ends up in a neutral position, to be honest as he is making some improvement, but honestly did not deserve to seriously date Aoki. Hiramaru is surprisingly gentlemanly and even felt sorry for Nakai. Moments like these are precious. TLDR; the characters did not always fit stereotypes or just stay the same throughout the series. They all had deeper backstories and personal challenges that they learned to overcome, making them much more realistic and personal to readers and viewers.
Initially I didn’t like either one of these characters. I thought Aoki was too stuck up and i thought Himawaru was going to be dumb comic relief. To my surprise they both became my favorite characters and their romance feels the most natural. Easily my favorite part of the show right here.
I agree. Both really surprised me with their growth. They ain't perfect, but man have they come a long way. Hiramaru seems a lot more glad to be alive, and Aoki has finally broken down her emotional wall to allow herself to trust others, even men. I think she finds the odd and unexpected things that come from Hiramaru helps compliment her lifestyle of elegancy. Seems she really does like the fantasy/romance types of stories she writes in the end. :)
Yes. He's like a father to me. That is for me so wholesome even Yoshida trolling Hiramaru and manipulating him he is thankful as his editor and show their friendship
I think the anime is awesome, very faithful to the book from what I've read, and the soundtracks are incredible ! ^_^ I particularly love the endings, as well as the "openings of the stories within the story", they're amazing !
I've seen both and the anime is a great adaptation, I'd say is way better than the manga because of the pacing and that it doesn't have any filler (idk if I'd call filler some arcs of the manga but the story definitively stretched a bit too long) Also the music and voice acting is great, and yes, the endings are outstanding
The anime changes some of the points of view. While in the manga you kinda have an impression that much of the characters are bad and won't change, the anime gives a more hopeful perspective
I didn't mind the story taking very long for the MC's to achieve their goal, that's the main theme of the story. The problem were the arcs that were too predictable and didn't show anything new, like the second time this mangaka that was an asshole and paid for others to make the manga for him appeared. It was pretty much a repetition of the first time. As much as I liked Azuki , I like the fact that she almost doesn't appear during all the story, helps to make the moments between Mashiro and Azuki feel really special.
I actually loved the manga length, it was damn perfect for me haha! it might be because I don't read many short ones, but it was a really good length for me.
god, i miss Bakuman so so so much. i love One Piece and i think it is a masterpiece. but if i have to pick one manga/anime that is my favorite, that taught me so many important lessons in life as well as sparking my passion for art, it would be Bakuman. i connected to the main character Mashiro so much, and i love the whole main cast of the show :')

the ride operator is the real MVP here
Thanks to dio brando to inspire himawaru
May be he has a daughter and son at around the same age as Aoki and Hiramaru so he knows what they are up to? Being a wise old man is cool!
Talk about MVP, I think it's Yoshida-san
That's more Yoshida, but the ride operator is a real one too 🫡
