In this video I clean up and test drive a fine old Stanley No. 95. This is a handy plane to have. This is also the first time I show using JB weld to fill casting nicks.
Hey, you read our comments! I WILL CRUSH ALL WOOD WIG COMPETITION ONCE I HAVE OBTAINED THE MASTER’S METHODS. MARK MY WORDS, NO CURLS WILL EVER OUT-TWIST, OUT-SPIRAL-DARE I SAY-OUT-TENDRIL THESE CURLS!
I have learned so much from you already. My son and I love the wigs and have speculated on how they are made. Would like to know. Keep those curls comin' !
I would love to know how to make a wig Keith :D Not that I need one with my full head of hair :D I will definitely make a video of me wearing it :) I love your channel my friend. Always learn something new. Never seen a No95, what a brilliant little plane. Thank you ॐ
I don’t necessarily want to make a wooden wig but I definitely want to see how creative all of the viewers are so I want to see that compilation video! :-D
That's a handy looking little plane and you made her sing alright. I'm going to let the wig remain your secret so it can be your trademark, but I am a fan of the wigs...
As a Pastafarian I like the wigs. I could easily see it becoming a required head covering for adherents, which can't be removed for lots of religious and legal reasons. But am happy for the construction details to remain a mystery to me.
I'd like to see a wig video. Keith, I have a Stanley No. 45 I want to clean up. I would like to remove the tote to work on it. I'm not sure how to remove it because the pins that hold it in place cannot be driven straight through to the other side. Any suggestions on how that could be done?
Wood wigs are an aquired taste, but to each his own I say. Just make sure to protect against termites, a nasty ailment common amoung those who use them.
You wouldn't be able to trim it in one shot, nor will you be able to control the depths of the cut so that it doesn't get into the base substrate workpiece.
I got some JB Weld to repair my 605 after seeing this. Amazing stuff.

I've got to guess, that those two marks were put on there by a previous owner, as a guide, or gauge for something. thanks for the video.
Good compliment to a table saw processed piece of panel. But very specific range of use.
That plane really is sweet . I was watching when you did the end grain and no tear out on the finishing end of the stroke. Great video.

Would a 95 work well for trimming edge banding?
You wouldn't be able to trim it in one shot, nor will you be able to control the depths of the cut so that it doesn't get into the base substrate workpiece.
Hi Dad.
I may be talked into making a wood wig.
Want to know
Id love to know how to make a wig
Those nicks are the previous owner file marking on their tools. Pretty common when working on a crew with similar hand tools.
Don't know that I have the tools to make a wig. But at my balding rate I need one.

if the wig video takes away from plane videos, than no.#:)
