    Blood sugar/glucose/insulin levels are determined by not only what you eat, but how often you eat. If you eat 4-5 times a day, you literally don't have time for your blood sugar/insulin levels to drop before your next meal. Also, if you eat meat and/or nuts, it takes a minimum of 4 hrs to digest fully. It's like eating meals back-to-back without any rest. I eat twice a day, and have fasted the past 3 Sundays. Of course I'm not exactly bulking, but we should all take considerable time off at some point from eating to give our bodies a break. If you will deload your weights but not deload your gut, what's the point?

    • @pattybaselines
      @pattybaselines Год назад +2

      Do bodies really need a break though? What is your proof of this?

    • @a-a-rondavis9438
      @a-a-rondavis9438 Год назад

      @@pattybaselines yes. Digestion is one of the major stresses on the body. Our bodies literally can't get rid of some things and heal scar tissue well until we fast for extended periods of time. Digestion can take up to 80% of our blood flow and oxygen when doing so. Hence why people can get tired after meals. Diabetics eat all the time because they became diabetic from eating so often with junk food that their bodies have a strong resistance to insulin, thus needing the needle to live. Fasting increases insulin sensitivity, and keeps the body healthy. Literally World's Strongest Man 2019 Martins Licis (he was 6'3" 360 lbs on competition day in his prime) was instructed to fast one day a week at one point to keep his insulin resistance low.

Bench started at 95lbs, ended up at 170lbs for 1 rep. Deadlift went from 95lbs and ended up at 300lbs for 1 rep. The protein does have a lot of creatine in it and I ended up going to the hospital from being too dehydrated. Great run though.

    I used to drink this stuff, then i did some math. Serious mass has its advertised macros and calories because of its ridiculous portion size. If you actually compare calories per gram and protein (or any other nutrient) per gram to any other protein powder, serious mass almost always loses. Normally the calories are fairly close on a per gram basis, but the protein is less than 30% of other protein powders when dealing with the same serving sizes.

I gained some size from the shakes and didn’t get obese. I used the shakes as a meal replacement. The mutant mass blend is least in sugar of all the mass gainers. I have a friend who got cancer and told her to take it instead of ensure, because the mass gainer is way better then ensure. She finished her chemo and is now cancer free. So use a mass gainer short term you should be ok.

    My brothers and I pretty much religiously have consumed this exact brand of mass gainer for probably almost 2 years now. It's certainly helped with weight gain. I view it more as a meal replacement drink than a protein shake. It tastes way too sweet, and the macros are actually kind of terrible, so definitely wouldn't recommend unless you're really trying to put on a ton of weight. I've tried to replace it with things like milk lately, and that's probably a healthier option anyways

    Rick D stick, I advice you try my secret to the bulk. You grind almonds for like 5 minutes until it becomes «powder». Then blend it with milk and a banana. First time i ever did it I accidentally ate 400g of almonds(didnt have a weight) bought one now to measure my almonds and I currently do 200g daily to supplement my bulk. Also almonds Are healthy as shit, recommend you try it.

      Almonds and other nuts have a fair bit of omega 6 that you have to watch out for though. Can spike your bad cholesterol pretty hard when eaten in excess!
