    You are one of the most enthusiastic & charismatic people I've ever watched on RUclips. Don't lose that quality, my friend! I'm a new subscriber to your channel, and wondering if you have any videos on teaching people new to fishing. I've been fishing my entire life off and on, but most of my knowledge consists of bobbers, hooks, and live nightcrawlers. Nobody really ever taught me anything about spinners, fake bait, hook sizes, etc. I fished mostly off a pier on the Chesapeake in my free time so I really had no reason to learn differently. Thank you!!!

    Rod/reel combo with fishing kit as an emergency setup ruclips.net/user/postUgkxntWMOZsO1Zfv-pdn_XuffEtNkTYAYu4Z recommend but started to use this every day. The rod is thick and seems durable. I keep it neatly tucked into a regular backpack all the time with my fishing gear, and can grab it anytime, put it on my back and go anywhere. I just read in another review that the rod length below the reel is adjustable as well, so I will try that too for even more portability. Probably the best setup I've ever owned. I lost the cap for the eyelets, but no big deal since I still have the black cloth sheath that came for the pole and I use that. Very portable and high quality.

    Nice unboxing, glad to see BPS took care of you on the broken rod. I went to the BPS in Hanover the other day and picked up a new combo myself. 7'11" BPS cranking stick in mag-heavy with a right hand pro qualifier in 7.1:1

    Nice order man! I like to pick up Bps mono for backing, 1,000 yards or more for like 10 bucks. I normally go with 10lb for backing so my knot is smaller. Good luck with your new gear bud!

      +TackleJunky81 thanks bro! and thats smart to use thinner line for a smaller knot, I was thinking thicker line so I could get more bang for my buck :P

    Mike: I have some questions about your camera setup(s)?
    For this one, in your details section, it says you used your GoPro to film this? What is it.... 3 or 4 feet away? I had guessed you had a different video camera you used for these.
    I think in one of your other videos it was raining and you mentioned not having your external mike on because of that. Do you always use an external mike?
    On days it's not raining, I suppose you don't use the full watertight case, but the door that allows more sound in or something?
    I'm getting into kayak fishing and setting it up with gopro. I just ordered an external system that will allow me to run it off of my 12v battery (used for fish finder). Won't have to mess with internal batteries that way. Also, I want to run an external microphone (not even connected to gopro) and curious how one might sync the video from the externally recorded sound.
    Anyway, LOVING your videos, you're such a great inspiration for me !!

    • @1Rod1ReelFishing
      @1Rod1ReelFishing  9 лет назад

      +TwoAlphaG34 thanks for watching! The gopro was 6 feet away in this video. I use an external mic in all videos where "external microphone" is listed in the video description. On non raining days, I use a skeleton case that allows me to access the usb port for my external mic.
      You can sync the video from the external sound when you edit the video, good luck!

    I will say my lightest rod is my megabass orochi xx. I have the 6'10 mh. It has a med-fast taper/action, so it's a perfect all around rod. Just a little more give than a fast action for reaction baits. I use it to flip jigs primarily

      +Tyler Eby Really like it! Its insanely light with a sensitive tip, it lacks a bit of backbone and has a slightly hollow feel at times. But overall, I am very happy with the purchase otherwise I wouldn't be using it :P

  • @bobsmalls100

    For the weighted swimbait hooks, I like throwing yum money minnows. Dicks sporting goods should hold those. Also, definitely throw strike king rage craws and mister twister craws (bama and falcon color) on them. These set ups produce for me big in the fall. Good Luck and Tight Lines!

    If I were you I would either heat or just cut that top guide off of the rod and buy a rod tip repair kit from fuji and make that rod just like new again. Maybe a little shorter but it should do the job. I have a Daiwa Jupiter that I crushed the tip off going through my backdoor. I thought it was trash so I didn't use it but I seen a video on how to fix it so I went and got the materiels I needed. After I fixed it I let it sit overnight and it was good as new. Granted its was a 7,6 now id say its about a 7,2. Overall great rod still to this day.

    today I did a walmart challenge and i bought this baitcasting rod that was idk 50$ it was called a Berkley lighting rod I was surprised because it worked way better than my Loomis ex6 at the end the Loomis broke when I went salt water fishing while the 50$ was killing those fishes..

    Can you keep us up to date about the broken rod and how it performs?

    • @1Rod1ReelFishing
      @1Rod1ReelFishing  9 лет назад

      +Monkey D. Luffy I've used it 4 times already, performing great, missing 1.5 inches off the tip so it's slightly stiffer but I'll continue using it since it was free and is a solid performer!

    U should come to a pond near my house in de we have fished there for 2 years and caught 2 bass on lures so sadly I use live bait sometimes no lures seem to work any advice?

    • @1Rod1ReelFishing
      @1Rod1ReelFishing  9 лет назад

      +Frogfishers this time of year the water is warm you'll need to slow down with plastics fished along the bottom like senkos or creature baits

    • @JohnSmith-im5di

      +Christian Bauer Look on RUclips. There is a good vid on getting overruns out by freespooling your spool and puling line off till it crosses itself then putting your thumb firmly on the line and winding in a couple of turns and keep repeating the process. It sounds too easy but from my experience it works well.

      I have the same one buddy, the thing itself is just terrible I strongly advise you get a different one. It does not have to much of a problem with 1oz lures but you still get a backlash sometimes. If not possible to return it tighten the break on it more then needed(dial on the side) hope this helps!

    • @1Rod1ReelFishing
      @1Rod1ReelFishing  9 лет назад

      +kakashi hatake (senpai) lmao, the key to fall fishing is to cover a lot of water with fast moving baits, so I'd recommend shadow clones with the fourth hokage's flying raijin jutsu to maximize efficiency

    Hey 1R1R, so i tryed using a baitcaster and the line would always backlash even when i stopped it from backlashing it! What should i do?

    • @daysjaun
      @daysjaun 9 лет назад

      Turn the brakes up or use a heavier lure. Also if your line is less than 12bs that could cause a problem

    • @Filmzzy
