For those who don't know, Lady Morgana wrote her part in a different language. The Philippines has many languages, not just dialects like people assume Bisaya/Cebuano is. Linguistically it's an actual language all on its own. Bisaya is spoken in the south, in large parts of Visayas and Mindanao, while Tagalog/Filipino is more common in the north, in Luzon. So Lady Morgana sang her part to represent the south. She's from Davao province, in Mindanao, hence her lyrics saying a Davaoeño (from Davao) probinsyana (girl from the province) able to stand toe to toe with a Manileña (girl from Manila, Luzon).

Thank you for the insight!! I didn't really understand when Morgana said that she and Gigi speak in this language. Nor what they meant when they said they were "country girls" from Davao. Also, I've been seeing other people say that in the Flex Bomb group, during Morgana's verse, the others in the background were doing a traditional dance of the region that she's from. Thank you for helping outsiders make sense of this and explaining the cultural significance of many things on the show!
I have no idea how it works. If she speaks in bisaya (bisayas's/bisayan?) language, would it be hard for her to communicate with the rest in the future episodes or do bisaya people usualy also speak Tagalog? I know each of em' speaks english well, but I myself as "bilingual" guy think, that it's always the most comfortable and the easiest way to communite is by my mother tounge. I know that's a lot to ask but maybe it happens for you to know that
@@hubert36667 tagalog is thought in schools, bisaya? we just learn it from communicating with our bisaya relatives from a very young age

Lemon’s lyricism + Joegeous’ dynamic performance ability = Marina Summers
Not being biased with a fellow Filipino but Marina is better than Jorgeous. Marina is a better dancer both freestyle and choreographed. Jorgeous' moves are not cohesive and we're just being fooled by her high energy. She shouldn't be the standard when it comes to performance. I prefer Denali.
Sorry, but Marina is Marina. She's not Lemon's lyricism or Jorgeous's dynamic performance ability. Marina is unique, don't compare queens with each other, they have different kinds of drag performance that they serve.

When Marina said “I’m the Filipino Winner” - I believe her! Hope she wins!
ALSO IF I WANNA RANK HOW THEY DID:
1. Turing - she killed this challenge and the fact that she really made catchy lines really sealed her win.
2. Vinas - THOSE VOCALS!!!!
3/4. Marina - now she really came for the kill but if you are exposed to Drag Race verses, you will see this as one of the great ones.
3/4. Morgana - Lady Morgana was smart in using her language in this verse to differentiate herself and it also allowed to give a different color in the performance
5. Precious - humor and meaningful message? CHECK PERO she had to overcome the challenge of outperforming 1-4
6. Brigiding - BRIGIDING DING DING (yup smart call)
7. Eva - she is the threshold of SAFE kasi ang galing lang talaga ng iba
8. Minty - HER VIBE SAVED HERSELF FROM THE BOTTOM kasi without that characterization, for sure she will go down to the bottom
9. Gigi - may pagkaawkward sa kanya na di ko maexplain pero at least you see the effort to commit
10. Xilhouette - ang ganda ng verse nya BUT when she performed during the challenge, she looked like she was so out of it.
This is very on brand to Drag Race Philippines. We oftentimes speak three languages in one statement and here in Pop Off Ate you get English, Filipino, and Cebuano 😆 this song and performance is very Filipino staple.
Ps. I love that Marina's "It's summertime!" was heard here 🇵🇭👑💖
