that point about the difference between Dana and Tony with Matt, saying Tony essentially bends the knee to Matt on working together with John and doing what the boss says is purely because I believe Matt is way more involved in defense, which is why Satt was left alone to either sink or swim, well Dana already knows how to swim, and he is about to cross the atlantic swimming with Nebraska once he has a full grasp of this thing we all call home
It's sort of like having that semi drunk uncle that is bad ass and will kick your ass, some how has the craziest stories that are sort of Big Fish and yet you feel like he totally gets it and has a plan. Breath of fresh air. Rhule provides a very honest approach to things but it's often very positive. This feels great to have a bit of brass tax matter of fact kind of press conference.
I love Matt Rhule. I don’t have a filter either, I despise people who can’t say what they mean and never mean what they say. Dana is very plain, blunt, and hardworking. He’s going to be a great fit for Nebraska. He reminds me of Coach Charlie McBride!
We had this with T.O. and Monte Kiffin. The demeanor of these two coaches was opposite polars at times. T.O. was X's and O's at halftime and Kiffin would pick up garbage cans and throw it at the defense when he was irritated.
Holgorsen Is probably Rhule's best move so far. White was a good hire but Holgorsen will probably save his job and shows that he's being honest when he says he wants to turn this around.
If this Holgorsen deal works out, do you think other teams may try this “no risk” trial? Where they fire a coordinator and bring in someone else to finish the season? Kind of like test driving a car.

With all the asses to kiss in the Nebraska football program, the Nebraska athletic department, the Nebraska media, and the Nebraska fans. It's no wonder coach tries to nuance his conversation. Dana come in. He's got nothing to lose and everything to gain
With the secondary playing so poorly this season, has the John Butler experience been a failure? If so, does this raise larger concerns since there was some sentiment that Butler would be the new defensive coordinator if Tony White leaves for a head coaching position?
They're still working with Frost recruits who can't always unlearn their bad habits and understanding of the game. Tommi Hill? Gifford? Hartzog? These guys aren't getting it done consistently enough for their level of experience.
I think we now know that the reason the defense was so “great” last year is bc of the division we were in. Don’t get me wrong this is still a good unit, just not as elite as we hoped. It also doesn’t help that this offense hasn’t been good this year.
There have been SEVERAL times this season across multiple games where a RB like Ahman Green or Roy Helu or Devine Ozigbo or Maurice Washington would have housed a 60+ yard TD but our guys got 10-15 yards. NE doesn't have a RB with vision or juice.
For the new tunnel walk song since we should play Creep-Radiohead for little special little guys..ur so fucking special !! You can’t catch you can’t run, you can’t tackle..im a creep I’m a winnnnnner what 🥇the hell am I doing g out here! OnWisky
In my opinion, Dana refers to these players by their numbers only is to let them know that who they are (or who they think they are) is irrelevant. The only thing that matters is how they play.
I like this guy! What's his number? You guys aren't blocking worth a crap and it's embarrassing! Dana is exactly what the Huskers need. Thank you Jesus.
Rumors are Malachi Coleman has left the team and will transfer. Any validity? Raiola also had an odd statement about talking with Dana in December regarding his past QBs, does this imply that he is uncertain about returning to a Nebraska and needs that meeting to be convinced, or is Twitter (X, sorry Elon) overreacting like normal? I’d like to think he stays after Dawson Merritt mentions his relationship with Dylan.
We have a point guard who keeps getting matched up to defend against a power forward one on one. A bunch of fans keep badmouthing this kid who is out there doing the best he can. I hope Coach White fixes this mixmatch that opponents keep targeting.
Usually I like the content on this show but man o man does it get old hearing say “I, I, I, I, I…” Just say I Conner and move on. It’s really distracting.
Dana is a good short term option/ eye- NO WAY should the air raid offense be Nebraskas offense for the future- look everywhere he’s been- need to focus on OL, DL and RB and focus on power football
I reaaaaaaaallly hope we keep him for the foreseeable future. The university needs to just give him anything he wants. Keep that guy happy.

Finally a coach at NU that will call it as he sees it. Players need to get called out. Have some accountability about the play on the field.
In the past I would have disagreed with you. However these players are now being paid hundreds of thousands of dollars so I have no issue with it.
I feel Nebraska will lose by 4 . Why ? Bc we can’t finish drives in the red zone
The lack of blocking by our wr’s is a major reason The running game is ineffective

I like the way you put it.
Excellent description 👍 And the vest and the longish hair stamp it. He probably smokes Backwoods
As always great show guys!

McBride was in all ways a genius. We will not see his like again, but, yes, this guy is a bit more like him (but offense, of course).
Don’t get your point ….

Monte Kiffin a defensive genius.
Drop us a question here for the Thursday mailbag show.

I suspect he was talking about Carter..

6:15 into video and only saw Dana for 3 seconds ✌🏽

Holgorson brought in to be Matt Rhules anger translator.
Where is Blye Hill? He was projected to be a starter in the secondary prior to the season and he has never reemerged following rehab.
We would rather play mini hulk Hartzog so we can never win a jump ball or match up with any big receivers.
@@CivilizedSavage You mean the leader on the team in interceptions? Yes, his height is a liability though
There have been SEVERAL times this season across multiple games where a RB like Ahman Green or Roy Helu or Devine Ozigbo or Maurice Washington would have housed a 60+ yard TD but our guys got 10-15 yards. NE doesn't have a RB with vision or juice.
A good offense keeps the defense healthy and strong.

We clearly have some underutilized talent that Holgerson is recognizing.
In my opinion, Dana refers to these players by their numbers only is to let them know that who they are (or who they think they are) is irrelevant. The only thing that matters is how they play.

malachi trashmen?
By the end of the year everyone will turn on Holgorsen same as every other coach.
He is Bluand thats what i need a big Blunt to smoke.
We have a point guard who keeps getting matched up to defend against a power forward one on one. A bunch of fans keep badmouthing this kid who is out there doing the best he can. I hope Coach White fixes this mixmatch that opponents keep targeting.
Who do you think the young player was that Dana referred to in his press conference?
Janiran Bonner in my opinion. He may be talking about Carter Nelson too. We'll see
I'm intrigued with Dana in that he brings something to NU...i wish this move would've happened earlier, but oh well 🤷
🔴⚪️🌽☠️
Let DR air it out the last two games see what happens.
It’s got to be Malachi . Doesn’t it ?
I’ve heard coaches refer to numbers many times many sports. All business
Too many buddies playing a game and not enough generals winning wars.
To late the stain of Conner Stallion will never fade We will be 5 and whatever for 2024

Nebraska air raid. Haven’t we tried all this before?
Satterfield was too timid and unsure of what he was doing.
Why does Wisconsin copy everything that we do...!!!???
Bottom line: Will Lose to Wisconsin. What a waste of time and money.
Who cares about using the jersey numbers or names. Give him a break good lord
