We the best music
can you recommend funk albums?
Great album you can tell this Kendrick Lamar kid was heavily influenced by Tom McDonald, He got a bright future ahead
He’s got potential
You hear so many “The Brave” references in this album it’s crazy
Tom should make a collab album with Kendrick since they sound so similar
/s
nah, Demondice is better
Can't wait for Kendrick to release Two Pimp a Butterfly.
2 Pimp 2 Butterfly
to piiimp a buttertri
@@earls4452 you should be in jail for that pun
What's funny is the original title was "2 Pimp A Caterpillar" or 2PAC.
To Pimp A Butterfly 2: The Electric Boogaloo that went on a Quest for Peace, but then found The Legend Of Curly's Gold, resulting in it going on a Search for more money.
I really didn't expect seeing Brad crying to 'The Blacker The Berry' because of how much he related to the lyrics, damn I didn't know his struggles as a black man.
Bro is blacker than Drake!
he cryed for his grand grand grand unkle
Brad giving this a 0/10 was a great shock to us all, but he explained it so thoroughly and succinctly that everyone understands why he feels this way and everyone seemed to respect his unpopular opinion. THEN, he started praising AJR, and a lot of people in chat started doxxing him. Truly says a lot about society.
3 likes… yup *lights cigar* this one’s doing numbers *puffs cigar*
Both TPAB and AJR are amazing.
@@jeremyusreevu237 this comment is insane, never change jeremy
@@drewdrinks3930 insanely based that is. I agree, Jeremy brings reason and discourse to the brad taste comment section. He is the one true messiah. Praise Jeremy!
Hearing Kendrick Lamar being compared to AJR is like hearing someone compare the godfather to the minions movie
You can really hear Macklemore's influence on Kendrick Lamar's work.
Kendrick himself called his material "the world's second best Macklemore tribute act"
whats the first?

Just to think, he could have left the fair with his dignity intact…
The DJ KHALED during the 2nd half of U was the most hilarious and disrespectful thing I've ever seen
💀💀💀💀💀💀
P.S. you were right about the VIP pass
The throat goat out in the wild. I just listened to "TPAB but it's just my voice" last night all the way through. Amazing job, brother.
@@gogetathegreatestfusion801 throat goat is crazyyy

it was truly a brad taste moment when the stream got struck down for copyright and nobody knew if it was a joke or not
OH I WISH I WAS THERE!!!!!!!!! 🤣
The chat quoting every bit of lyric on this album was beautiful. U in particular with everyone going "AAAAAAAAAAH" was wonderful to be apart of.
Also greatest comedic timing in a brad video
WE DA BEST MUSIC
apart of
glad to have been part of it
Even Layne Staley joined in!
When he called "The Blacker The Berry" too aggressive, that truly made me feel emotions.
He used that word again
For a while, I never got why so many people considered Kendrick a legendary rapper. Don't get me wrong, I didn't hate him or anything, I certainly thought he was talented, I just didn't get why he was considered a GOAT. Then I heard To Pimp A Butterfly, and it all clicked. I may not always agree with Fantano, but he was right on the money when he gave TPAB a 10. Every inch of it is laced with beautiful production, skillful rapping, and amazing lyrics. Genuinely one of the best albums of the 2010s, and an absolute vibe in every single conceivable way. 10/10. Pure musical beauty.
Another huge W for Jeremy. Jeremy can’t stop racking up these W’s.
@@dwellerintheden7973 you haven’t heard his NF opinions.

I really gotta listen to this album, I'm constantly seeing it cited as one of the best albums ever made
Imagine getting paid 700$ to listen the best album of all time. Man I wish
26:41 made the song even better
actually insane 😭
I only watched the stream for like 20 mins when it was live but I saw that live and couldn’t stop laughing
Bro, it's soooo good
i didn’t hear the timing properly when i was watching its so much funnier than i remember oh my god
That had no right being as fucking hilarious as it was lol
I liked when brad said “I’m a genius, i could’ve made Too pimp a butterfly by kendrick lamar in 2015”
26:40 is easily a top 10 brad soundboard moment of all time
btw i swear, 26:44 got me laughing like a horse yesterday 💀💀💀
26:41 is an all time great Brad moment
When people say this album doesn’t have replay value I am absolutely perplexed.

For Sale? saved my life. All the instrumental, the vocals, the melodies... fucking beautiful
My favorite line in TPAB is when he said “maybe the real butterfly is the friends we made along the way”.
Maybe the real butterfly were the pimps we made along the way*
So glad that you gave Baby Keem's cousin a chance. Truly an underground rapper with a bright future.
i love brad's chat and his comedy, it's actually so enjoyable and i feel the music with everyone... it's great!
You can tell how this album inspired Flyysoulja to write "Head"
I remember you was conflicted
Misusing your influence
Sometimes I did the same
Abusing my power, full of resentment
Resentment that turned into a deep depression
Found myself screaming in the hotel room
I didn't wanna self destruct
The evils of Lucy was all around me
So I went running for answers
Until I came home
But that didn't stop survivor's guilt
Going back and forth trying to convince myself the stripes I earned
Or maybe how A-1 my foundation was
But while my loved ones was fighting the
Continuous war back in the city, I was entering a new one
A war based on apartheid and descrimination
A war that was based on apartheid, and discrimination
WE THE BEST MUSIC
God this album never gets old. Even the interludes are masterpieces.
THAT MAN GAVE US NO MORE HALF MEASURES YOU SAY HE SOLD THAT CRACK?!?!
BANGER
What I love about "For Free" is that he's rapping as if he's auctioning off his dick 😂 Brilliant!
His voice in that song reminds me of James Baldwin
one of my favorite hip-hop albums of all time, listening to this ascended me
definitely see the mori calliope influences
Real
This is one of the albums I can accredit to enriching my overall love for music in general. Never had I listened to an album that made me experience a rollercoaster of emotions while also making me think critically of the subject matter that's being conveyed prior to this album.
Can't wait to see this underground artist hit the mainstream, I believe he'll take the world by storm!
All jokes aside, the amount of effort Brad puts into editing his videos into entertaining videos whilst still including the best moments is amazing, even with all the copyright stuff.
EVERY PATRICK IS A STAAAAAAAAAAAAR
Best album of the last 10 years. But still didn't win AOTY at the grammy's, i digress...
These Walls has a gorgeous chord progression. That in itself is emotional.
it feels good to be the only Brad Taste fan allowed to sing along to this album
Fun fact, one of the tracks on this album is co-written by Sufjan Stevens of all people
kendrick sampled one of sufjan's songs, if i remember correctly it was Futile Devices
@@maybemagpie That's Kendrick showing solidarity with the queer community ✊
That “DJ KHALED” right before the drop on u was everything 😭🙏🏼 26:45
Can't wait to binge this. Listened to the album recently and loved it
What I love about These Walls is it one of the most accessible songs on the album, but still retains the beautiful production and layered story telling that the rest of the album has. Truly a perfect song imo.
I didn't realize how much I had in common with Brad on this album in the fact that it really didn't click with me at all at first, I hated it but for some reason I decided to put it on a thrid time (hated the first 2, didnt even get past the first 5 tracks), and Wesley's Theory clicked with me so hard its like a whole new world of music opened up to my eyes, I liked the whole album and it got me into hip hop and rap music as a whole, which then lead to me listening to even more genres and now exploring many albums for any music, and what kind of music I listen to not really being an answerable question (I ussualy just give my all time favorite albums).
Another thing is having your favorite album be the #1 (or in this case now #2 album) of all time and insanely critically acclaimed, even though I loved it before I knew about any of this. Ok Computer (and Kid A, which I think is 100% just as good and they're tied for my favorite album of all time) made me love music so much, and over time I only loved them more and more. I first heard them when I was 12 (just because I had liked Karma Police), and Radiohead as a whole changed my life. Before that my favorite band was Imagine Dragons. Now a few years later being into the music critic type of thing (like being an aoty user and all that), it's just kinda wierd that my favorite album ever is also considered the #1 of all time before tpab was. But it's also 100% deserved
Just making this comment to note this observations I made myself
Honestly glad this video came out, i never really give popular stuff a chance, im just put off ofit ig. Saw this, and went "oh, yeah this seems cool ill check it out" and Im glad i did, very good album i definitely get the hype now, definitely opened my mind up to other music with this. One of the first albums ive been able to listen to and like, immerse myself
The beat switch on institutionalized gives me goosebumps so hard
omg! i've been revisting this album again lately and now i get to listen to it with my other parasocial music bro? wooooooo
Love this album! Kendrick Lamar is the GOAT at pimping butterflies, I couldn't even believe he made them at first!
when Kendrick said "It's To Pimp a Butterfly time" and the beat dropped made the whole album ❤
second best artist ever but to be fair its hard to beat ajr
damn this kendrick lamar guy is pretty good hope he gets big someday
im so happy this vid is out
This makes me want to see other creators react to their favorite albums live because how emotional brad was makes me want to see how people react to the best thing they've heard, in their opinion. I can say that when i listen to process, malibu or the island boys album, tears form. Want to see others do this
6:00 is why I love brad
I love you bradley
momma is such a good song and it feels warm
The poem arrangement and album outro song automatically makes it a 10/10
great album, one of the few albums I cried too
love you and this album. too bad after all this time, it's still missing the crucial tom macdonald feature
I love the amazing call reference when talking about u
i had the same experience when momma started playing right after for sale… it was something that i can even explain properly
i’m not saying tax evasion is good, but hypothetically how would they catch all of us if nobody paid
To Pimp a Bradderfly
Finally my dreams come true a video of Brads beautiful angelic singing covering TPAB because copyright.
brad and kendrick rapping together in alright actually went so hard im ngl
bro your singing voice is so beautiful you should start a music career or something
Glad we have the choice for our all time fav album
Institutionalized is easily a 10/10. One of my favorite beats in a long time 💯
Ending of "For Sale" fucking scares me, i dont know anything about the album without reading comments and videos disecting the album, songs, and lyrics but the ending bruh
Song felt like paradise and/or garden or eden and it smoothly transitions to despair and darkness with the dings reminding me of police sirens like i just killed a body and im around the woods at night running away from the police or something
And realizing lucy was lucifer the whole time (ik its obvious, i told you i was a dumbass) so it was a "paradise" in disguise added the extra eerie feeling to the ending
I want you to sing along to every album now!
So sad I missed the stream for this and then couldn't watch it unlisted before it got removed. It isn't the same with the cuts. But great video!
Brad, we know you just wanted to upload this to show off your incredible singing skills
this really is the second best ronnie radke album
Brad Lamar has a great voice
The amount of times I've listened to the few quips off TPAB as memes before I listened to the album. The screaming from the intro to u, without context of the album I thought was funny, and the time I actually listened to TPAB, hearing that intro, I almost laughed. Looking at it now feels disrespectful but at the same time, brad did put WE DA BEST MUSIC in the beat switch, so I'm not alone in memeing around with it, but also appreciating and loving this song/this album as a whole
Yo something tells me this album will get popular. I wonder what that fantano guy will think of it if he sees it
This is no joke, actually so good
I love the writing in this album. I think it’s some of the best ever, but as music and as an album it didn’t emotionally hit me like some other albums have and I genuinely feel like I’m missing out
I’ve been kind of obsessed with this album and coming back to this review which I haven’t watched yet, I feel like I get it a bit more now
u is so good bruh
Tom McDonald influence is impeccable
When he said “my tony head” it really got me 🤶🏽
Everybody’s talking about the DJ Khaled soundbite on u but “WE DEPRESSED MUSIC” was even better
I immediately started listening to this album at work a third of the way through the video, hadn't listened to it in years and I forgot how incredible it was.
Side note, I got the edited CD at Wal-Mart the week the album was released, "For Free?" is pretty funny censored but nowhere near as memetic as "We Cry Together". I was also shocked at how many words they missed off the bat on "Wesley's Theory"
33:48 i completely agree with this, i found this song just to be the chorus and nothing else, until you start paying attention to the synths and overall the instrumental, you can feel that overwhelming, like feeling out of your mind or something like that, like that temptation just sucking you, its an amazing track just because of that (personal top 3 for me tbh)
GRACIAS!!!
Thanks for including me on the thumbnail
I finally hear it now with Institutionalized, was not my favorite track but it clicked today
25:22 pleasee someone tell me what the name of the Young Lambo song is lol
the DJ KHALED at 26:44 was legendary
26:44 "DJ KHALED" was perfect PERFECT TIMING.
I wanted to do a side by side for this video with the original, I was gonna first listen to the song then watch react to it and go back and forth like that but instead I just ended up listening to the whole album and I agree it was fucking incredible
Lucy is meant to be the devil. The contract is signing a deal with devil
i fucking love this album
16:30 this transition was hard asf
brad done created the super bowl lyrics
if this was chocolate starfish and the hotdog flavored water brad would have gived it a 3/10
26:44 - Truly a breathtaking moment
so happy to appear in this amazing moment 26:41
The Logic influence is CRAZZYYY!!!
this is the funniest video ive ever watched ngl
Shoutout to me popping on the screen at 5:36 in chat lmao
Momma is definitely the highlight of the album lol

Every track is definitely the highlight of the album lol*
@@santicarbajal3927 very true but there's something special about momma

Brad saying your moms a feature on these walls reminded me when jj went off on this kid lmfao
"YOUR MOMS A FEACHUH, YOUR MOMS GON SAY AUHHHH AUGHHHH, YOU MOMS THE ADLIBS"
I really wish he'd listen to the Watsky Albums. All You Can Do is definitely worth listening to. XInfinity is pretty good. The newest 3 albums, is a cool trilogy, but the style took a complete turn.
Don't forget about Cardboard Castles. That album rules!
