the problem is we were always made to think that our ancestors where stupid as hell, sure thing, many of them were uneducated and stuff, but some of them had same brain power and capacity as we have today (at least some of us, cause many ppl ARE dumb as hell even today) and i simply cannot imagine that we wouldn't figure out something that's important for our lives, thinking about it all the time, without modern distractions... they were smart and dedicated and they certainly didnt get any help from outer space or any similar bullshit theories
