Uggh, this song absolutely has some of my favorite vocals from Matt, and some of my favorite guitar work from Syn. Papa Gates did the string arrangements. I think this song is about friends making bad choices. Not necessarily in the band, but a lot of their friends back home who haven't had a good run of opportunity to live a happy life. A7X may be rock stars, but they're all just people, and they want others they care about to prosper, so they'll support them until the end. This song has only been talked about a handful of times, but it seems straightforward to me. I wish it was on the self-titled. That album only had 10 songs instead of the usual 11, and I think this song could have fit in as the last track, as appropriately as the title signifies. It seems to only have been left off because of how simplistic the chorus is melodically. Personally, I love that it doesn't sound like a radio hit. It's very real and very meaningful, and it's a gem. I have it in my top 25 at all times. I'm glad you enjoy it! 😊

Less aggression and more thought provoking feelings in line with the lyrics. I agree, one of their best. Almost had a vintage rock feel, but not actually sounding like it. A very good song from A7X.
