Weird to celebrate 30 years of tiempo when the previous 29 have been leather and these aren’t?
I was going to say the same. Tiempo ended with me when they removed leather.
Honestly it feels like a huge disservice by celebrating 30 years of tiempo without any leather on them. Don’t meant to be harsh but sounds like a fail

It’s a shame that Nike changed the fit of the Tiempos so much, cause this colorway is gorgeous! Shame that brands are moving away from leather as a base material, starting to feel alienated as a wide footed baller.

yeahhhhhh i had no problem with tiempo going with non leather for the 10’s and on, i thought it was cool,, but i loved and needed the tiempo’s as a wider fit boot :/ now i gotta find others,, and the new balances seem to be the way to go !

Nice vid Noah! And I had a question, between the ASICS DS Light X Fly Pro 2 and the 5s, Which one do you consider to lockdown your foot better and give you more traction or spring? And which one accommodates more to your foot.
Traction is about the same, lockdown is about the same, maybe the Pro 2 is marginally better (like not even 1% better 😂)

Right? It’s so poor compared to actual k-leather, and isn’t as good as some of the other synthetics on the market either.

Not comparable at all I'm afraid... the 8s are much wider, leather, and more comfortable overall.

Just a quick one on hypervenom 3s, I’ve been looking to get a pair but unsure what size to get. In phantom gx 1 I felt like I had too much room in the toe when going True to size (uk8). 7.5 uk is best for me in that boot, Do hypervenom 3 fit the same as the gx ? Or should I stay true to size ? Thanks !
I'd go for the 8 I reckon! They fit true to size, and that's IF you can find a pair 😅
It’s a great colorway and just a shame it isn’t in a leather upper anymore. I still maintain the stance that these are more of a continuation of the ctr360 or magista opus rather than the tiempos

Do they have a similar toe box to the Puma King ultimate? In width/how much they taper in.
Similar yeah, maybe even more narrow
Do you find these fit a little looser than the regular colours? I have the white/red and they fit like 1/3 size more snug than these 30y. I suspect it's due to the heel padding. The padding on regular colors is more plush compared to this limited colorway.

Probably the asics mate, much more anatomical and comfortable. AND it has K-leather

I like the tiempos but now that the GX2 Elite has the low stud pattern of the tiempos, I think the GX elite is a better package and experience.

I found the New balance tekela v4+ didn’t have the best traction for high speed change of direction on artificial grass. I was wondering if these would provide a better experience in that particular area? How aggressive is the stud pattern? Thanks!
Potentially mate, but the stud pattern is less aggressive than the Tekela... 🤔
@@NoahCavanaugh that’s interesting indeed 🤔 I felt that the Vapor 15 AG studs were a lot better than the Tekela studs but the 15 were mostly conical studs as well

The soleplate is the number 1 reason I always throw the tens in my kit bag as a secondary boot (if needed) Such a good soleplate.

I had like full on health anxiety for like two weeks after watching the second episode of your podcast. It seems like the overall consensus for these boots is that they are too narrow even for a normal width foot -

In all honesty why would anyone buy these over any other synthetic boot? They are nothing like the tiempo of old. What made Tiempo “tiempo” was the leather.
I have wide feet and tried the ctr360, they were average imo. The best version of the tiempo I loved playing in was r10 version. It had the zoom cushion in the heel and the best soleplate. It confuses me why they stopped making that soleplate. 8 conical studs and two blade studs in the forefoot was just perfect.
If you fit in them perfectly, I reckon these would be nice 🫡 Otherwise they're not as good as they could be!
@@NoahCavanaugh I hear you noah, it’s just a bemusing direction. The last they used in these compared to the last one you showed is drastic.
If you think about it players who would pick a conical soleplate rather than blades would be a someone who favours comfortable and touch. A slim synthetic upper last that doesn’t mold to your feet, conical studs and is lightweight (i don’t think it’s an important factor)doesn’t really target any group (youth or og heritage folks)
This is why I LOVE mizuno, ASICS and alder🥰
Unfortunately had to stop wearing Nike. I’m a 10.5 in length from them, but a 11 in width.
