Yeah, it's a stunning ride. We didn't bring tents this time, but loved every second of the trip. Didn't realise that the midges went over the Scottish border!
The Physical 3D Garden of Heaven on Earth - Wales is truly Gods Land (especially went riding those deserted mountain twisties on a motorbike...hehehee.) PS - Great video thanks for upload - great to see a guy out on his bike when his Mrs also has a licence and a bike and they ride out together. 11/10
Many thanks. Wales is amazing, especially when the sun comes out. Was lucky enough to ride to the Dolomites this summer, but Wales is incredible and practically on my doorstep.
Hello - thanks for the feedback. Day 2 was where most of the action was. I don't have a .gpx file or anything but the route for Day 2 was - Brecon > Llanwrtyd Wells > Tregaron > Devil’s Bridge > Elan Valley > Rhayader > Llanidloes > Machynlleth > Aberdyfi > Tywyn > Dolgellau > Barmouth > Harlech > Portmeirion > Porthmadog > Llanberis > Caernarfon. I originally based it on a route take from Simon Weir's 'Best Biking Roads of Britain' book but added-in the Elan Valley and a few other 'must have' bits. Day 3 wasn't exactly what we planned but we did Caernarfon > Beddgelert > Llyn Tegid (Bala) > Llangower > Y Bryn > Llangadfan > Newtown > Llandrindod Wells > home. The best bit of day 3 was from Llangower station / beach area, up the little road leading up and over the mountain (direction of Y Bryn). This wasn't planned but it was fantastic. Good luck with your planning and have a great trip!
Great road through the Elan valley. Camped there along by the river. So did the bloody midges!!

Enjoyed this very much. Planning to do a trip to Wales from Ireland next May, any chance of posing the route you used
