Hi, is this room acoustically treated? It sounds like it's not but the sound is still good!!

This is a great video. My setup is very rugged compared to this. I stapled foam strips on the ceiling. And I use steel plumbing pipe for rails. It’s probably heavier than it needs to be but it can span long distances without bowing. 🫣😂 I need to upgrade a bit maybe. Love your suggestions.

Thanks. There’s definitely a lot of ways to get the same or similar results. I had many setups before this one so I went a little extra!

Nicely done! I also did speedrail with modern studio brackets - I went 1-1/2" and did a full grid off the walls (modern studio makes expander things so it mounts like varipole would). I have zero light stands in my space and love it that way.

It made such a difference having no light stands!!

It’s a night and day difference! It took some work, but totally worth it.

@@JeremyWalton if you don't mind me asking, how did you mount the rails with confidence? You went into your attic? or did you find a stud finder?

@@veereels I went into my attic. Using a stud finder works too. You'll know when you screw into a stud vs drywall.

You forgot to cover which Color you use on your Walls :)

Nice - thanks. Suggest using de-S-ing software - you can de-S audio in lots of common softwares those S’s almost hurt - otherwise fantastic

I like your lighting setup man! Are you recording with 2 mics or is it just the one on the ceiling? Maybe your back wall is reflecting back to the mic since your talking that direction. I'm just trying to figure out why your audio still has that slap back "tin can" echo. Even a rug/carpet can make an enormous difference. Either way- your setup looks killer! Thanks for the break down and Happy NY 2024! 😲
