Great topic. I would love more on this. Every person I watch and and every advice your read or see says to fish points, but I bet I can count on one hand the number of fish I have caught on a point. And no one ever breaks down where to fish on a point. Do you start deep and work shallow? Do you start one side and fish to the other? Do you cast to shallow and reel to deep? You could spend half a day on one point trying to cover the whole thing on some big points. I just have no confidence in fishing points and I feel like I am just randomly casting with no real intentions and I hate fishing like that. I personally have had way more luck catching fish around structure, timber, vegetation, or rock. Not to mention, I can approach those things with a plan and with confidence and not just closing my eyes and casting. I feel like "fish the points" has become a generic filler from the "experts" with no real meaning or plan of attack. It is just something easy to point out on a map and say fish that. Thanks for diving into this topic and I always look forward to hearing what you have for us.
You mentioned deeper suspended fish and it reminded me I wanted to ask if you could do a video on fizzing. I would like to know when you know it needs to be done and how.
Great topic Randy, thanks! Did you here about Fairfield Lake State Park in Texas closing for development? F'ng disgusting! Everything is big in Texas - including greed.
This famous guy broke down a local lake. I said, "Why not just fish everything? You're just pointing out everything." He said I am a hater. Why do people call me a hater, a dick, a jerk, etc. when I'm telling the truth or when I tell you something you don't know/haven't figured out? Seems like people are just hateful or one-dimensional. Look at Ukraine from the bigger picture, then see who is teling you the truth. Cmon. Be grateful some is willing to open your eyes to things you never knew. Imma keep beating that dead horse. In this case, there is no wrong or right way to fish the points. Just fish them.
@@tymothymiller5880 I'm not mad. The way I talk you think I'm mad. This is my normal self. My mad self you won't see. I'm here to destroy the mystik of these YT gurus, esp. in fishing, which they are noobs in. Why don't you quote me?

Always intuitive. Look forward to a seminar on points and jerkbaits.
great video topic. I've learned that points with a little flat on them are more consistent than constantly tapering ones.
Thanks Randy. Really good info!
Plus one on the long form deep dive points talk. Always good to reinforce a strong foundation. Thanks
Thanks for the info. Great Topic.
Love waking up to a intuitive angling vidya! Yes!
Thx!
Randy as always great video.
What about wind? Wind-blown side typically better?

Loved it , very good one
The link on the white cap is not working. Great video, points have produced great fish for many, many years. Thanks for sharing.

Do you check out non-channel swing points in early spring? I ‘m talking specifically about Highland Reseviors with water temps around 49-52? East TN
Do a seminar or video on how you effectively fish points without fwd facing sonar. Like I'm sure you have a process
Randy doesn’t have FFS so the process he just outlined is it …
And ol kvd ain’t done, he’s leading a team tournament right now on outdoor channel. Dunno if this is old or not
Suggestion....
When you do the in depth tutorial...
A big white board will help ....m2c
Thanks for the information. ✅ 25
Why fish decide only to go to the points ?
Your view products tab has changed
In what way?
Usually when you click on view products, it would send you to the site while your video is playing, now it’s sending you right to google.
@@ronniemitchell9221 that’s odd I will check into that
Mine is working same way it always has
