I'm not gonna lean into the horror camping niche, but it was appropriate for this video. Generally speaking I want to make chilled out camping/outdoors videos reviewing different gear and chatting about stuff. It's all about the vibes. But I had to re-attempt this, and it was always going to be like this. So enjoy! And look forward to a chilled out one next...
You could do some more "day camping" , like a spin off, alone or with family, research location, give some background info, make a meal (research Hanna Olvenmark!) enjoy nature and go home! Daylight also makes better footage/drone shots - and you might want to stabilize the camera! Embrace your ability to sense sth. It is a talent!
Many years ago when I was around 18, we went camping in the woods and tent shared. The tent wasn't particularly good, so we put a thick tarp over the top - the type you'd use on a trailer. After, lots of slasher stories, one person said quietly... "imagine right now, just at the tree line... there's someone watching us...". At that very moment, the tarp was ripped off the tent. We absolute crapped ourselves. It was the wind of course, suddenly gusting in what was a calm night to this point and pulling up the guy lines. But yes, we were all so rattled I don't think any of us slept well.
People who can't hear the music say the dancing people are crazy. Once me and some mates were hanging out on the railroad tracks at night behind the mall. Suddenly I was overcome with dread and a feeling like we had to get out of there NOW. It wasn't like a 'we're going to get hit by a train' kind of thing, since the tracks were straight in both directions for miles. It was something else. As soon as we got back to the parking lot, the feeling subsided. Also, don't forget your dog was freaked out by something in the first vid.
The dog was freaked out because he picked up on his owners behaviors. Dogs are super perceptive of their owner's emotion. He influenced his dog's behavior. If you're talking about when the dog's ears were perked up, you could clearly hear some bird in the distance squawking over and over. That held the dog's attention.
@@NorthernChev If you're referring to the original video - that bird was sending a warning call that a predator was nearby. Notice its periodic chirp is picked up by a couple other species and then they all go silent. They were triangulating where the predator was stalking and warning everyone to hide. Later when he's at the car, we hear all the birds suddenly erupt - whatever was stalking the woods found something to attack, and the birds were using that opportunity to vacate the area.
@@z-beeblebrox ...Clearly you've not watched his two follow-up videos. They figured out it was a cow in the field about 200 meters to the right of the woods. Because it happened again when he was out there with his buddies and it becomes clearly apparent. They all get a good laugh.
To be fair there's not much to find concerning Gravel Wood. It's a site where there were gravel works back in the day, but no information about the area's ancient history. Considering there's an Aldi car park near Andover in Hampshire where only a few years ago, an ancient Roman punishment site was located with hundreds of skeletons of the executed found, there, there was not a single vibe of terror. People passed there happily for hundreds of years after it ceased to be used and were none the wiser, so I do think we spook ourselves a lot of the time.
Biggest mistake if you’re the scary type…like me. I love camping but am also scared of the woods at night. The first couple of times I went I took a 6 pack for me and my bf. It was all nice and cozy going to sleep,.,until you wake in the dead of night with a full bladder and have to go out in the pitch black or even worse, the silvery light of a full moon.,scariest shit ever
I think this last trip would have been better if you could have gone with some friends who were more serious about your personal feelings. You could have talked through it to find out what the underlying issue was. The guys you went with seemed emotionally immature and were probably unable to help you cope through the situation. All the goofing around indicated that they weren’t taking you seriously from the beginning - I don’t blame you for wanting to get out of there.
Maybe you subconsciously convinced yourself after 2 visits where you felt off, that there's something wrong, which is why when those two were fine, you still felt weird about the forest. The dark jokes from your friends - albeit entertaining - might not really have helped that situation.
@TheGMRGIRL if you are with a human friend with you and this friend is frightened because "something strange", you feel it, even though you don't share the feeling. Why wouldn't a dog feel it? The dog got a strange behavior because something natural happened on that moment, it felt it and the guy got scared, so the dog understood that and got defensive.
Dogs don’t feed off of their humans so much that they see and hear things that aren’t there. Animals don’t worry themselves or overthink. They just react to things as they happen, so no matter what the dog was definitely seeing and hearing something that scared it. Not to mention the sounds he heard. They didn’t sound quite right.
I don’t think they were being honest. Purposefully skeptical, and the alcohol definitely helped there courage. It’s called “liquid courage” for a reason.
If you get bad vibes you have to trust your gut, doesn't matter if its a forest, a building, or even a person. Some people are just able to sense things more easily than others. Your country has been inhabited for such a long time, any number of things could have happened on that site. I give you props for even solo tent camping at all (in your other videos), not something I would do, though the forests near me in the US are massive and we have large predators like bears, mountain lions, and coyote-wolf hybrids. Keep making videos and stay safe out there.
I believe you, man. Was riding an ATV thru the woods one afternoon and stopped bc I was overcome with an immense feeling of dread and my body got goosebumps. I turned my head around because I felt like I was being watched and I saw something (I’ll never know what it was) very tall and dark behind me about 100 feet away. I gassed the ATV and got out the woods and haven’t been back. It’s been probably 10 years. I know something was there and I get that same feeling when I’ve watched these videos.
I had the same feeling with something similar I was riding my dirtbike on a lone gravel rode and I got off it and went into a field close by because I seen the fence down so I wanted to go up the hill as I’m riding I get a werid feeling like I’m not alone so I ride slower and stop look over my shoulder and there’s like 3 coyotes watching me ride so I kept going and they just watched me the whole time never took an eye off felt so dreadful and I didn’t wanna go back
NO WAY! You're at Gravel Wood! I lived extremely close to that as a boy when I was still at my parents! We used to play there all day and sometimes night. Hot and sunny or rainy and cold. I can say having spent nights there, there is absolutely nothing spooky about this woods. You are probably just not used to being out in the dark. It doesn't feel like daytime, and that's completely normal. You pay a lot more attention to sounds you normally ignore because you no longer have your vision to reassure yourself there is no immediate danger. I can here it in the way you are all talking and the things you are saying. You're all making conversation to reassure yourselves. You're distracted by the fear which is why you keep making mistakes like turning your cooker up too high and spotting hazards like mould which won't harm you at all. The reason all the birds and animals are constantly screaming is because you are crashing around, making noise and shinning lights. They are sounding the alarm. Just keep going out at night and you'll get used to it. Even if it's just for walks on your own with the dog. Every so often stop, be quiet, look, listen and take it in for a couple of minutes. We use this technique in the military to help reassure your subconscious and to detect enemy (obviously). Torches don't help either. They put you in searching mode, reck you night sight and make everywhere the torch isn't shinning seem scary. Stop looking at comments or whatever it is that's making you think you are attuned to evil spirits. That's just your desire to have an explanation for somthing you don't yet understand. Hell I'll even come on a camp with you and make sure you stay the night. It's really not that bad.
i agree with all of this, except for the part where you said that mold won't harm him. mold can mess you uuup honestly, scared or not, i would have left after noticing the mold. because the vehicle was close, and 1 night of camping isn't worth possible long term respiratory problems, or developing a mold allergy, both of which could have big impacts on your life, especially for someone that enjoys camping and being outdoors
@@Bikeadelic hahaha that's like saying i got drunk once and survived, so alcohol is harmless. or i smoked once and didn't get cancer, so cigarettes don't cause cancer. or i went sky diving once and i'm still here, so it's 100% safe. you won't always get sick or become allergic to mold when you're near it. if that was how it worked every person on the planet would be allergic to mold. but multiple prolonged encounters, such as sleeping in a tent full of mold, can lead to developing an allergy, in the same type of way that some people can end up becoming allergic to their favorite foods
hey leave us and our 20 acre woods alone. For real though I think it's something like you're never more than 5 miles from a main road in England. It really sucks for this sort of thing, but ultmately nature is beautiful no matter how big the woodland area is!
Yeah, I'm in England, born and bred, spent quite a bit of time in the woods. These are just a patch of trees and at best, for a Brit, a very small wood!!!
@gpe1279 one thing I love about England is how they kept some of their serious old growth! You guys have some crazy old forest parts.... some of that land that used to be owned by the Crown...maybe it still is idk... I live in Canada, so as far as giant forests, we even have the USA beat! Our wolf, bear, deer, moose, cat populations are pretty healthy as well. You just kinda learn to tune out the spiritual vibes and make sure you listen for heavy steps at night...avoid keeping any food near camp...hell, don't even cook or eat near camp
What you and your dog felt was valid. It could have been a bad person there and they might be gone hence ur friends being fine, but even that is dangerous asf. But that inhuman scream or noise or whatever in that first vid was scary and I wouldn’t go back there.
Those were flimsy, aluminum pans. Or possibly Tin, but that would be extremely expensive Compared to Aluminum. The issue here is Aluminium Alloy has a VERY low Melting point, And The Flames on the Burners were too hot. Has the flame been Red, around the heat of the average campfire, they would have been fine. That's what they were made for, open fire cooking/electric or Gas Range Cooking For those burners, you need Cast Iron or Steel, or if you want lighter weight, splurge for the Titanium/Steel mix... that has a much higher melting point.
The scariest thing about this camping trip is how unprepared you guys are haha. In all seriousness though I'd love to see in 2-3 years time, when you've developed your skills and experience and you're taking on the wilderness all on your own no sweat. Take us along for your journey!
Love the honesty of your videos. I've been backpacking for years, and I still get nervous every time I go out...and have bailed a few times. I think it's healthy to be wary while out in the wild.
Good on your mates for caring enough to pick up and go so that you can be comfortable. Anxiety isn't logical, but when it kicks in, your physiology triggers as genuine fear response and preservation instincts take over. You'd have had Buckley's to no chance to sleep. You wanted to tell a story. I appreciate the genuine telling of your grapple with your inner self, venturing thought, and emotion in real time. Keep the journey journal going!
Mold in your tent is a valid reason, also you had a bad experience that negatively impacted your view on the forest. I said it before, if something feels off then it is. You had one negative experience, went back and had another negative experience so when you went back for a third time you had YET a third bad experience. Trust me I did some camping in some places and heard/seen some weird stuff over the years. One place in particular I will never camp at again is near a place called Bunnyman Bridge in Virginia. Edit: IDK why I thought Tennesse XD
I have been in wild places that don't seem to want you there. I think they are more common that we generally think. part of camping is tuning into the energy of the place you are and if it doesnt want you there, pay attention and leave.
The mould will happen if you didn't properly dry your tent from the moisture after usage, and IMHO, that's what happens with your tent. Just hang the tent in a clothesline or something after usage instead of leaving them in the tent bag and make sure they are thoroughly dry and cleaned before putting them away. The same goes with sleeping mattress and sleeping bags. Take them out from their respective bags every now and then.
I also place my tents in Rubbermaids with humidity packs when storing them. Don't store tents in sheds, always in the home where there is climate control. Never had a problem with mould.
A little story my dad told me. When he was a child in like 1980 amd something, his dad went with him as a child through some hills at night and somewhere in the distance there was a tall dark figure kinda hunched and told me that it had horns and he asked his father what is that and his father looked at it and told him imediately don t look at him and don t mind him as like he saw that before and they kept walking not looking at it. And that was all and he never asked his dad about it after.
All good! If don’t want to stay just go! Always listening to your gut instinct!! I live in Alaska, alone in a warst forest so I get it. Part of any forest has negative energy. You just don’t go there. The fear you manifested during your first visit, for sure for a real reason, I saw your dog, was activated every time when you entered again. It’s kind of a warning system that your mind is implementing to protect you. First time was for a real reason the other 2 times it was conditioned. I remember when I was a child I had to go to the basement and get canned goods or the laundry. It was a trip of nightmares every single time. Even with the light on, I felt scared like shit. Running up the stairs like no tomorrow. It’s a conditioned fear and it feels absolutely real. I like the video and it was entertaining. No bad vibes this time, very different from the first video.
When I was a child I didn’t use to be scared of my basement until my parents played a prank on me. The layout of the basement allowed for you to get underneath the staircase and the stairs were just steps with no backside. I remember I couldn’t find my parents anywhere and searched the whole house for them. I called down to the basement and no one answered. I started to walk down and all the sudden I heard a loud yell and a hand reached through the steps and grabbed my ankle. I remember screaming and trying to pull myself up the stairwell and it finally let go and I ran. I don’t remember where I went but It was my dad that had grabbed my ankle and my mom was with him. I think my fear was amplified because I had at some point before hand recently saw Evil Dead 2 and was scared of a monster under the steps. Needless to say It took my years to get over my fear of the basement. Even years later as an adult, when I visit my dads and I have to go to basement, I do feel hairs on my neck begin to stand.
@@WillSmith-wg4hs I’m 15, and I still hate going into my basement. Honestly once I graduate and turn 21, I’m probably going to conceal carry even in my own house.
@@N.A.H.S.Camping if you’re in the states you don’t need a permit to carry in your own house. And I concur take all the protection you can get from the basement.
I live in the State of West Virginia USA... I had been a forager-hiker-outdoorsman pretty much all my life until I went in the wrong area on the wrong day...Haven't been back since..There's things out there that people don't understand...
Only @8:19 in but chiming in -- this is super common. I used to work at a MSR dealer, saw this alot. People are making these diffusers online (which I'm pretty sure would void any warranty). Then again, I solo end-to-ended The Long Trail 3 years in a row with the same MSR pocket rocket as my only stove, but likely had a titanium pan. Anyway, you'll find a simmer and a good boil happens at a much lower flame. And also yeah, all camping gear will soon have mildew all over it, from tents, ground cloths, to bivy sacks, air mattresses and stuff sacks if put away wet, or even next to something wet, even once. They either need to hang in the sun when you get home until 100% dry before packing back into their bags, or, some pieces can go into a dryer on like a tumble low or air-dry setting (always save and read specs). Cheers!
Love the video and channel, the honesty is what we all need. Ive had experiences like like this more than once! Here in the US alot of weird shit happens in remote forests so im totally with you on trusting your gut.
Love your videos. Yes, the sounds were likely cows, but that doesn't obviate the notion that you might be more sensitive than your friends to whatever else might be going on in those woods. Hearing cows and being creeped-out aren't mutually exclusive. I'm not particularly sensitive, but I have family members who are very much so, so I can appreciate your feelings. Looking forward to seeing more content on your channel.
when you put food into a hot pan it prevents the pan's temperature from reaching a level that would cause it to melt. that's why you don't want to leave a pot boiling with water. once the water is gone there's nothing stopping the pot from melting on the stove.
Thanks for sharing your experience with us. We would like to encourage you to keep going with like minded persons that would be in tune with your investigations. You did right by trusting your intuition. 🥰 Not all areas are welcoming. Pops & Nana ☀️
Tell me, sir... Are you particularly prone to Static Electricity? Does being near an active Electromagnet Make you feel sick? Have you ever had a MRI, and if so, did you feel a bit off Afterward? If so, there may be a particularly strong geomagnetic field there. Take a traditional compass and see if it keeps its heading properly. Another Possibility: Are you Claustrophobic At All? Can you, for example, handle Sensory Deprivation? Because ive noticed all three times you feel better once you get back to an area thats less quiet... Give a sensory deprivation experiment a try. Put on earplugs, abd a blackout mask, then relax in a pool, letting the water support you. If the feeling returns, youll have your explanation.
Always trust your gut. Your gut is warning you for a reason. Your buddies are super skeptical, and weren’t gonna admit they were scared even if they were, unless it was real bad. But “denial” is the first stage of grief lol. And the liquid courage helped them.
Lets be real. You told your buddies and they came in with the intention of being skeptical. They also just didn't come off as people that even respect the idea of the supernatural. What you felt, and what your dog felt the first time was real.
You keep promising not to do this again, but it's really good that you did do it, and that you shared it. I think that overwhelmingly, you received positive responses from people for making, and posting these videos. I checked them out, and joined your channel because of them. You had a very real, frightening experience, and I'm glad you shared these videos of your experiences. It's important to listen to our instincts, to pay attention to what our animals are letting us know, etc...That patch of brush/tree IS different, it stood out, and for whatever reason, it was the focal point of what you felt. Good thing you paid attention to what you and your dog were sensing, because that's what will keep you safe out in the wilderness, and in general, everyday life. Who knows, maybe someone else stayed hidden, and was watching you out there, maybe they just did it because they didn't want to deal with another person, maybe they had negative intentions? Maybe you and your dog felt that way due to a predator in the area? Maybe you picked up pn something special about that particular place due to something that occurred there at some point in more recent history, or ancient history? There are many places in England, where there might have been spots that were considered important for whatever reason(s) at one time that were turned into farm land during more recent times. There's a lot of history in your country, in the land itself that isn't always known, and acknowledged. You received a lot of positive attention for sharing these experiences...Don't dismiss that, or focus on the negative. I, for one, very much appreciate you sharing these experiences, and you being very open, and honest about them.
As someone that’s spent a lot of time doing surveys in the woods, I can confirm that sometimes another human arrives and interrupts you and it’s simply too annoying to have to interact so you prefer to stay hidden and not make yourself known. Been there done that!
Hey, Tom. I see that you are getting a lot of negativity for this video.. Please, dont be disheartened. Creating content is challenging, critiquing other peoples content is easy. This is your personal journey, your personal channel, your art. Im enjoying seeing your journey, as are many, many others. Keep them coming mate 👍
@@centralfinitecurve-ling... Not everyone is the same dude.. Just because you or I wouldn't have left, doesn't mean we should be cruel to someone else who didn't feel comfortable staying. It takes a whole lot of courage to do what Tom is doing, I should know as I'm doing the same thing. Recording videos for people's entertainment and uploading them takes balls of steel! I'm not sure you have the courage to do it, so have some understanding that different people are brave in different ways.

I served my country for 25 years and spent many a time deep in the sun sand and Taliban country amount others. That sixth sense applies whether it’s a plastic bag on the side of a road or a vantage point you can’t secure or crossing terrain. When you feel and you know it trust it nothing to run away from but knowledge is power and if you trust the sixth you can be better prepared and more tapped into your other senses you can push yourself but trust your decisions.
Intuition is knowing without knowing. Some people have a stronger intuition than others. It's something that's actually being researched by the US army right now. Some soldiers have innate abilities to literally avoid mines and IEDs by gut feelings, and able to repeat results. Honestly, it could have been a predator of some time for all you know. Your mind is not playing tricks on you. Your subconscious senses were going off. You did the right thing.
That's the tiniest forest I've ever seen, it's like three city blocks. If there IS some creature living in there, there's no place for it to hide. And any sounds you hear are probably just the cars driving by, it's right next to your typical neighborhood street with houses.
hahaha that pan was hilarious. it's actually pretty easy to burn through those thin camping pans like that, especially the aluminum ones. if you don't have any food or water in the pan it doesn't dissipate heat fast enough and burns through. it's the same way that you can boil water in a plastic bottle or bag because most of the heat gets transferred to the water. i did a month camping trip in Hawaii a couple years back and i didn't take any pans, i just bought a can of soda, drank the soda, rinsed the can out, and cut the top off. that was my pot. every once in a while someone would give me a soda or a couple beers and i would have a new pot or 2. i never had 1 burn through, but if you put an empty aluminum can in a fire it will burn down to ash
No offence on your choice of ‘mates’🤔but you seriously need to find more likeminded people to accompany you on future trips. More experienced campers for instance.
6:44 you’ll be asleep in your own house, it’s four in the morning. You had too much to drink, you were out with the boys. You’ll creep into your bedroom, and slip into your bed
I've always been more spiritually sensitive than others around me too. It was definitely creepy when Archie got all spooked in the first video, but he could have just sensed another animal. Kinda wanna check these woods out myself to see if it's actually something. Haven't been camping in years. Might have to travel to the UK soon haha
Pretty sure different people have different abilities to sence the paranormal and if someone feels that level of dread constantly, it should be respected and especially listened to.
It's also the good to be in a group too cuz whatever it is can't attack you all at once and with the group they can watch your surroundings you by yourself is going to be it's going to make it harder for you to spot whatever is following you or making that noise
If you don’t put water in the pan… It will burn because it’s just cheap aluminum being blasted with a large cutting torch if you will. It’s the same principle why you can use a paper bowl that’s filled up with water and actually cook it over open flame without it burning a hole through the paper bowl. Next time you should probably bring stainless steel even though it’s a little bit heavier… It will resist holes being burnt into it immediately… Or just make sure at least you put some water in the pan first.
Fair play to anyone willing to try and camp out alone in middle of nowhere. You have my utmost respect whether you are successful or not. I would never try , it makes me anxious just watching others do it 😂 I have ended up in a forest on my mountain bike a coupe of times at dusk and that’s enough for me Love your channel sir, keep it up 👍
Those "feelings" are valid, even if the logical, rational parts of our brains don't understand it. Some people are just more sensitive to unseen danger than others. TRUST IT and LEAVE and don't worry about feeling or looking silly.
Little tip, try setting up earlier in the day when you go camping, settle slowly into the evening after having 3-4 hours in the day light youll feel alot more comfortable being there. Build a fire! Nothing other than humans like fire so thats a massive deterrent for any predator either way. Overall you gotta man up a bit, you're in the uk nothing is going to get ya lol. Bring an axe to chop wood and the "monster's "
It's like you're all ready to up and leave from the moment you got there, no chairs, no comfort, one head torch between you all. Stood around looking into the trees freaking each other out. 4 grown men, come on guys haha
For all you know, you are camping on top of or near graves. The UK has been populated by humans for a very long time. I imagine they are buried all over the place.
Gives me chills, just as much as that reaction buddy from The Boys youtube channel did to their video of the Asylum, said he heard whispers starting out quiet until he could almost make out what they were saying. Demonic Whispers is what scares me. If ANYTHING scares me the most it's Spiritual level shit.
Hey don't talk yourself down from what you experienced the first time, SOMETHING was there, your dog and those other animals WOULD NOT react that way otherwise.
oh fuck i heard it, that gave me chills. i love places in nature most people find creepy and normally stuff like "big spooky tree" is almost comforting but between that voice and the dog freaking in the first video, damn legit creeped out
I think there was some kind of predator in the immediate area on the first visit since your pup was so on alert, but who knows? At any rate I'm glad I found this series of vids
@@N.A.H.S.Camping Don’t be silly. There are no lynxes in England. As for the badger, well, I’ve yet to hear of any camper anywhere in the UK being killed by a deranged badger! 🤦♂️ 🦡
always, ALWAYS check your camping gear right before a trip. tent, sleeping bag's, equipment etc. always inspect before you go on a trip, be it overnight or for a week or so. never just throw stuff in your car and drive off, you'll be properly prepared and not caught shot in the middle of nowhere. veteran camper here of many year's. believe me the one time you think oh i cant be bothered it'll be fine is when it all goes tit's up. with regards to what people say that it's all in your etc, trust your gut. better a live fool then a missing one.
Dude your first experience was creepy as fuck and I don't blame you for bailing. The first vid freaked me out and I was sat at home watching, whole other story when you are out there. I think the first time has ruined that wood for you, even if the subsequent visits there is nothing.
Dude you need new friends. The way they were making you feel was way out of line. Not to mention making you feel more scared. This was super uncool of them. Jokes or not, your face showed that you were hurt by their actions. They were acting so emotionally immature. You deserve to have your feelings about this validated.
You put a thin frying pan directly on top of a jet engine. Then you’re shocked when a hole is made😂 I’m looking forward to watching more of your vids. How often is Archie involved? He’s a good boy❤️
U need to choose more supportive friends to go on these trips with. They CLEARLY contributed to your mood. :/ i think its kind of cruel to mock people for any sort of anxieties.
That’s considered a thicket where I come from but I’ve had a weird experience on a island in the lake I’ve fished many times……around that size. Oh and for future reference put your food and water in the cooking bowl before putting it on the stove. 👍 and mix a few ounces of bleach and water in a spray bottle and spray down the tent kills the mold in minutes. But if it’s bad enough give it good scrub. Now the boogers and ghosts….don’t have a clue. Why the liquid courage? 😂😂
The first question that I asked when I saw you and your friends walking towards the forest was, "where's your dog, man?", since I had watched the previous two videos. It genuinely upset me a little that you didn't bring your dog this time since dogs can sense and see things that we cannot. Please bring him next time even if you are camping with friends. It's for your safety, though it's your call. Cheers!
I don't want to be skeptical, but fear plays a lot of trick on our minds. Also, fear is easy to be shared, it's a survival mechanism. So your nervousness can be shared with your viewers easily specially those who are looking for a spooky video. I'm not saying that aren't strange things unexplained on the world, I'm just saying that most of the times those unexplained things aren't supernatural things, just fear product.
I am rooting for you. A lantern or candle lantern would improve video lighting and quality. Those lightweight camping pans or jet boil needs water or food immediately, you are not pre warming a cast iron skillet. A little bottle of cooking oil will help with sticking - the two videos I see you cooking makes me think you need a proper camping skillet, not a pot. You did large pieces of ham at the island, and steak in this one - your cooking style needs a skillet at least 8 inch. Camping chairs are nice and would relax you and the group.
Last year I went stealth camping (wild camping is illegal here at the other side of the Channel) in a large forest. At around 3 AM at night I heard something crashing through the bushes and a sound like something/someone clearing its throat, quite nearby my tent. It was/is a wild, dense forest, so there most likely was not a human being. It was probably one of those small deer that I see regularly, but wild (stealth) camping in a large forest is not a good idea. 🙂
Right here 2:54 when you entered the forest, i got an awful feeling and shivers from the forest and how dark and quiet it is, as an paranormal investigator, its giving spiritual and skinwalker vibes, stay safe mate! You never know what can be in forests if you dont know their story..
@ first of all, your very early to reply! (Obv not), second of all. Hello?! Maybe you dont believe in it but that doesnt make it nonsense, also i know its a small forest, third im slavic not african. Fourth. Stop being an A hole crack and stop acting like a 50 year old UK woman.
First of all, you shouldn't have said ANYTHING to them as to WHICH tree it was while you were entering. This could easily have been debunked if you had kept it unknown and just let them go about their business. Now, you've tainted their perception. Now you'll never know whether or not they felt it too without your influence.

Mouldy tent.
Burning pans.
The curse of the woods in full effect I see.
I'll say this..
Sometimes weird sh*t happens man.
Not every RUclipsr is faking videos.
I enjoy your camp outs. 🎉
Thank you :)
Infrasound
They all get a good laugh.
ngl dogs do that, even at home. I wouldn't lean too far into it.
If I were you, I would go to the local archives and look up what you can for the history of that land and that forest. See what pops up?
To be fair there's not much to find concerning Gravel Wood. It's a site where there were gravel works back in the day, but no information about the area's ancient history. Considering there's an Aldi car park near Andover in Hampshire where only a few years ago, an ancient Roman punishment site was located with hundreds of skeletons of the executed found, there, there was not a single vibe of terror. People passed there happily for hundreds of years after it ceased to be used and were none the wiser, so I do think we spook ourselves a lot of the time.

Hard to find good friends....dont forget though this guys only early 20s so they're probably the same age
"The guys you went with seemed emotionally immature" No they was bantering with their friend who is scared of a tree.
It's just typical UK friend banter, that's all.
New sub introduced to you from fear fanatics. Fell in love with Archie immediately 😂❤
Its Uk banter
Maybe you subconsciously convinced yourself after 2 visits where you felt off, that there's something wrong, which is why when those two were fine, you still felt weird about the forest. The dark jokes from your friends - albeit entertaining - might not really have helped that situation.
Idk even his dog was trippin. Ya never know.
It’s called “liquid courage” for a reason.
meanwhile there is a wild animal here in his house scared shitless by these humans moving in
If you get bad vibes you have to trust your gut, doesn't matter if its a forest, a building, or even a person.
Dude I got goosebumps just reading that story!

It's really not that bad.
i agree with all of this, except for the part where you said that mold won't harm him. mold can mess you uuup
honestly, scared or not, i would have left after noticing the mold. because the vehicle was close, and 1 night of camping isn't worth possible long term respiratory problems, or developing a mold allergy, both of which could have big impacts on your life, especially for someone that enjoys camping and being outdoors
@@PKAdventures Most mould is harmless. The proof being he is fine. So no.
100% agree with post.
@@Bikeadelic hahaha that's like saying i got drunk once and survived, so alcohol is harmless.
or i smoked once and didn't get cancer, so cigarettes don't cause cancer.
or i went sky diving once and i'm still here, so it's 100% safe.
you won't always get sick or become allergic to mold when you're near it. if that was how it worked every person on the planet would be allergic to mold.
but multiple prolonged encounters, such as sleeping in a tent full of mold, can lead to developing an allergy, in the same type of way that some people can end up becoming allergic to their favorite foods

always surprising what british people consider to be ‘woods’. This is like a small patch of trees behind a walmart in the US
hey leave us and our 20 acre woods alone.
For real though I think it's something like you're never more than 5 miles from a main road in England. It really sucks for this sort of thing, but ultmately nature is beautiful no matter how big the woodland area is!
Mainland Britain is only about 850 miles in length. These small woods can feel really remote .Our land mass is tiny
You just kinda learn to tune out the spiritual vibes and make sure you listen for heavy steps at night...avoid keeping any food near camp...hell, don't even cook or eat near camp
this isn't an ancient woodland
What you and your dog felt was valid. It could have been a bad person there and they might be gone hence ur friends being fine, but even that is dangerous asf. But that inhuman scream or noise or whatever in that first vid was scary and I wouldn’t go back there.
Generally you shouldn’t dry heat a pan for long (nothing in it) , maybe to do with heat not being spread… but that did burn through hella quick!
Cheers for the tip! I've never had an issue with my other pans but then they were a bit more upmarket than these ones.
@@thomaslock97 This is why I always go with lightweight stainless steel cookware, aluminum saves some weight but aren't as accident proof!
That's what they were made for, open fire cooking/electric or Gas Range Cooking
For those burners, you need Cast Iron or Steel, or if you want lighter weight, splurge for the Titanium/Steel mix... that has a much higher melting point.

Love the honesty of your videos. I've been backpacking for years, and I still get nervous every time I go out...and have bailed a few times. I think it's healthy to be wary while out in the wild.
Good on your mates for caring enough to pick up and go so that you can be comfortable.
Would love to know what happened at Bunnyman Bridge, if you don't mind talking about it?
It's weird cos I always dry my tents out if they're wet when I pack them up and this was no exception. I thinnk my shed might've leaked.

Cheers!
Shame your buds were messing about with how you felt so much. Could of been a good opportunity for some interesting conversation

You keep promising not to do this again, but it's really good that you did do it, and that you shared it.

Intuition is knowing without knowing. Some people have a stronger intuition than others.
It's something that's actually being researched by the US army right now. Some soldiers have innate abilities to literally avoid mines and IEDs by gut feelings, and able to repeat results.

Spirit of the Tree: "Mate, I warned you twice already, get off my property!"
I would never try , it makes me anxious just watching others do it 😂
I have ended up in a forest on my mountain bike a coupe of times at dusk and that’s enough for me

Actually so excited to watch this, it seems REALLY cool, cause you are experiencing something genuine.
Also VERY weird that you kept having bad things happen to you..
Also hey that feeling of not sleeping happened that night after I watched all that creepy shit to do with Sam and Colby with The Boys
Going camping without building a fire blows my mind. Is there some sort of ordinance against it in that area?
Wild camping is illegal in England so making a fire is just asking for someone to notice you.
@McGregor43 There is a fire structure called a Dakota fire hole which is specifically designed to be clandestine.
Hey don't talk yourself down from what you experienced the first time, SOMETHING was there, your dog and those other animals WOULD NOT react that way otherwise.
People could say whatever. You’re here to entertain and you got the job done.
16:31 Evp whisper man says “ Yeah Get out Get outtttttt” unless that’s your mates messing around ? Love your Aussie supporter 🇦🇺🦘🐨👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻
oh fuck i heard it, that gave me chills. i love places in nature most people find creepy and normally stuff like "big spooky tree" is almost comforting but between that voice and the dog freaking in the first video, damn legit creeped out
Yep, I heard that clearly. Time to get off the lawn, so to speak.
Something tells me that the cookware may not have melted if it had something cold in it. Still, cookware that melts is not exactly camping grade.
I think there was some kind of predator in the immediate area on the first visit since your pup was so on alert, but who knows? At any rate I'm glad I found this series of vids
It’s England! What ‘predator’? A badger? 🦡👍😂
@@titteryenot4524 Badgers are actually pretty dangerous. Also not to mention Cats, and Lynxes. The lynx is especially dangerous.
@@N.A.H.S.Camping Don’t be silly. There are no lynxes in England. As for the badger, well, I’ve yet to hear of any camper anywhere in the UK being killed by a deranged badger! 🤦♂️ 🦡
@@titteryenot4524 okay, I typed my search and you”re right, Lynxes aren’t in the UK. But you never know. Badgers are capable of getting Rabies.
@@N.A.H.S.Camping Lol. You’re _really_ grasping at straws at this point, son! 👍🤦♂️🤣
It is hard to see how that place is scary being that ot is not big enough for anything to live there. And you are surrounded by open dirt and homes.
It's basically fake garbage 🗑️
The land area does not have to be very big at all for something too dwell in it.
That's good that you had someone with you this time! That forest gave me the chills.
Was that a white bird flying REALLY fast at 00:36 ? Cause that this zoomed by !
Next bring the whole village there. See if you still get spooked
always, ALWAYS check your camping gear right before a trip. tent, sleeping bag's, equipment etc. always inspect before you go on a trip, be it overnight or for a week or so. never just throw stuff in your car and drive off, you'll be properly prepared and not caught shot in the middle of nowhere. veteran camper here of many year's. believe me the one time you think oh i cant be bothered it'll be fine is when it all goes tit's up. with regards to what people say that it's all in your etc, trust your gut. better a live fool then a missing one.
Dude your first experience was creepy as fuck and I don't blame you for bailing. The first vid freaked me out and I was sat at home watching, whole other story when you are out there. I think the first time has ruined that wood for you, even if the subsequent visits there is nothing.
i love these blair witch vibes im getting from this
Dude you need new friends. The way they were making you feel was way out of line. Not to mention making you feel more scared. This was super uncool of them. Jokes or not, your face showed that you were hurt by their actions. They were acting so emotionally immature. You deserve to have your feelings about this validated.
The woodland is full of ethereal beings to show respect to them you should have asked permission to stay in the tiny little wooded area there
You put a thin frying pan directly on top of a jet engine. Then you’re shocked when a hole is made😂
I’m looking forward to watching more of your vids. How often is Archie involved? He’s a good boy❤️
You NEVER put a thin cheap pan on an open fire with nothing in it. That's just common logic.
These friends suck
I am subbing just because of Aspall
The pots and pans you have to go stainless steel or titanium. Aluminum has a much lower melting point than both of those.
I camp in a forest every week. only thing scary in any part of the world is your own mind...
Cheers!
Here for part 3 ..
A really great way to bring attention to ya self is too wave ya torch around in a small woodlands close to a farm house….
Microfiber cloth for the damp. Go over it before you pack it (inside and out)
I don't want to be skeptical, but fear plays a lot of trick on our minds.
