Really looking forward to see how the UEV 14 goes. We have not long sold our Kimberly Kamper as we also have two girls (11 & 7) and are chasing a toilet and a bit less canvas. We just can't decide between a Caravan and a Hybrid. The UEV 14 was one of the options we were looking at. Good luck guys, love the channel and hope it goes well.
Well done guys for building a brand that affords you these opportunities, we will watch with interest how you go with the hybrid. Our current setup is a 200 series and a 23 foot semi Offroad family van but we often think about a troopy with a hybrid. I think for our family it would all come down to two things- setup/pack down time and weather exposure. I would love to see you address both these topics in your upcoming videos with the conqueror. We are SW WA based and spend a fair bit of time driving to NW WA and have a second lap of Australia planned for some time next year. What we find we love about the big van is being able to pull up somewhere and just hop straight in, be able to rest or cook or shower straight away- even in a quick roadside stop. What frustrated us previously with a camper trailer was the hassle of setup and packing away. Even our first van which was a full off road pop top we loved but the convenience of not having to pop the top and being able to have shower and toilet in the van was enough to make us step up to the big van…. There is not one perfect do it all solution I reckon but will be keen to see more of your new rig. Enjoy and thanks for the content (especially Lance… don’t forget about him…) 😂
Thanks for taking the time to comment mate, and absolutely the next ep will probably be a Lance ep. You nailed it right at the end by saying that everything is a compromise, and for us we were keen to get back to something with a more camping feel and being able to get to harder to reach spots but still having key features in a smaller package/ insert UEV14. Don't get me wrong we loved our TITANIUM, but am excited for the next adventures and towing something significantly lighter and more versatile.
A nice setup. We tow a 3.5T Lotus and love our van but also like the Hybrid especially for two people which we might consider at some time. The setup you have is perfect for your style of comfortable camping and towing something much lighter would be epic. Look forward to the walk through. We too like the more remote style of travel and looking at your setup that will be perfect. Cheers buddy.
Thanks guys. There's an old saying that if you don't carry two spares, you're not serious. What do you think? Did you match wheels, tyres and offset to your tow vehicle? Disclosure: I have an Australian built 14' hybrid with two spares, matched to my tow vehicle. Looking forward to your travels.
Sorry mate but I would never carry two spares, in over 10000ks of dirt we have never had a flat. And yes it could happen one day. But it’s not worth extra weight in my opinion. I would like them to be matched to my tow vehicle agreed and would consider this down the track as they run the exact same size tire, it’s just that the cruiser is 5 stud.
Awesome! We have a hybrid coming too. I hadn’t actually heard of this brand but with 3 kids and a dog I’ll be watching what these new models are for possibly later on down the track! They looks the bloody goods from that quick little run around!!👌🏼👌🏼
Hi Guys, just found your channel and subscribed straight away. Love the new Hybrid Caravan. bonus that you get 3 months to test it out. it does look really tough and practical. congratulations. you seem like a very funny family will follow with anticipation. cheers
Yeah it is covered by the awning (just) but in windy conditions it would be challenging, they do have an option for a batwing awning that we will be testing in the future. 👍🏼
Keep an eye out for upcoming eps. As this is suitable for three kids in that the bottom bunk is double bed width. Our 7&10 year old slept together in it fine 👍🏼
That is the main reason why i decided not to buy a conquer, and also the price did not go down, just another company jumping on the made in china theme in order to get more profit for themselves and not pass on the savings to the consumer.
Thanks for the episode, looks like a great practical tough canper. There new range of rugged vans sound interesting.
Geez it would be great to see the UEV14 in Newcastle. Loving the channel 😅
Thanks mate.
Congrats guys. Your channel deserves this.
Looking forward to upcoming episodes

Hey guys was that you at crowdy yesterday 😊
Yeah mate we were at Kylie’s beach camp.
Awesome 👌 good one legends 👏 👌 Greetings from south africa 🇿🇦
Cheers mate. 🤙🏻
Love the camper, but with outdoor cooking is there anything to protect from the wind or rain, doesn't look like it's covered by the awning??
Yeah it is covered by the awning (just) but in windy conditions it would be challenging, they do have an option for a batwing awning that we will be testing in the future. 👍🏼
Any idea if they have a 3 bunk version on the horizon. This would be our ideal set up but with 3 bunks.
Keep an eye out for upcoming eps. As this is suitable for three kids in that the bottom bunk is double bed width. Our 7&10 year old slept together in it fine 👍🏼
Great van, nice that your watermelon sized head fits thru the door.
Thanks mate, you must have been picked on a lot as a kid 😂
Do they have a dust suppressor system available?
Hi Ray, yes they come with a dust suppression system. Stay tuned for a full walk through in the coming weeks.
What is the payload for the UEV 14?
Hi Shane payload is approximately 550kg
Hi. Is the Solar Clip still available?
Hi Mark. Absolutely the solar clip is available, visit www.smarttouringsystems.Com.au
Order placed. Thanks.
@@markreding2772 thanks mate.
Where are they made ?
Conqueror moved there production to China a few years ago.
Where are these vans made guys?
Hi Cassandra, Conqueror moved production to china a few years ago.
That is the main reason why i decided not to buy a conquer, and also the price did not go down, just another company jumping on the made in china theme in order to get more profit for themselves and not pass on the savings to the consumer.
@@christurner68 Hi Chris I understand your comment, but the real reason for moving production to china was to improve the build quality.
@@SmartTouringSystems not so sure about that, it has definitely profit driven. You need to research the back story to the move. 👍
@@christurner68 thanks for the insight. How did you hear about this. We like to be well informed.
