As a composer and as a musician you tend to adjust the notes that you're going to use for the singer. The fact that Allan used a high note for Morissette means that he was expecting her to reach that note. And he was not disappointed.

Fantastic performance! Morissette absolutely deserves this. She is incredible, and she did great! The fact that the gorgeous, legendary Lea Salonga told Alan about Mori is so nice of her. Lea opens the big gates for other Pilipino singers, the gates she had to push open all by herself.
So polished and professional she speaks with such eloquence her accent is just perfect and her command of the English language is incredible.
