- Back to my bookshelf again. This time I will speak about two real analysis books. One if the famous " Baby Rudin" and the other is a book on counter examples on real analysis. I will also at the end show some books which I will discuss in the next part of the bookshelf series.

1:08 sitting in that lecture theatre hearing the lecturer’s booming voice would be so amazing…
This series on MY BOOKSHELF going to be a great series for those who learn mathematics in a different manner. Every episode of this series gives me a smile. Thanks a lot sir ji. And I just bought Walter Rudin's book today. 😂
Wow, congrats.
@@kamrupexpress thanks sir.
Many thanks for these recommendations, sir! As an American of European parents I watch many Indian videos on math and they are super helpful. 🎉😊
Also grateful that so many of them are in English. 😊
Thank you so much.
I love it! Please do more video.
I am more impressed by the cleanliness of the bookshelf. :)
Thank you Sir for this advice..
needless to say we need a real analysis course from you
Let me talk to NPTEL.
Yes sir .....we need a course on real analysis starting with point set topology from you.....it will be great help.......
Thank you
@@kamrupexpress yes sir do that asap so that we can start learning from jan 2022.
Thank you
@@kamrupexpressGreat idea! 😊
Calculus by Tom Apostle ....started reading just few months back.....taking a cue from your previous video of life of average mathematician where you had differentiated between scholar and researcher .....adopted an approach of being the scholarly way as propounded by you and yeah it takes time to adopt to that but it will certainly be possible to traverse through the rigours of mathematics by being true to the teachings and valuable lessons by you..
...that's the joydeep way.... 🙂Thank you so much sir...
Sorry I missed your message. Please forgive me. I am touched by what you say
Nice collection sir
Principles of Mathematical Analysis does indeed deal with multivariable calcul (at chapter 9)
Sir please do more book reviews. Thank you very much sir. 🙏🙏
Thank You Sir 🙏
Liked this one
Thank you sir ❤️👌😀
Thank you sir 😀😀😀
Sir can you make playlists for real analysis and abstract algebra..
Sir I'm waiting for the next video, your review on Tom Apostle's Volume 1 and 2
Sir can you please tell a good book for probability theory(for machine learning)
oo sir, Did you find maschler's game theory to be rigorous and heavy!!! I think its not so at all compared with tirole or even more advanced book. Just shared my thought. I really liked the counterexample book as it will help us in disproving theorems by just giving an example technique with a better hold.
Sir please review best books for transform theory specially Fourier Laplace and Z transform
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Sir can you please introduce a course on real analysis
Thank you sir, currently I am reading
Numbers: rational and irrational
Book by Ivan M. Niven , suggest by you.
That is a real good book
Without assuming continum, are there as many irrational as real numbers?
Hi sir
I want to be a theoretical physicist, but I'm confused what should I choose physics Hons or general BSC, unfortunately I don't have access to good college, so I just take admission in a local college, they have Honor subject but teachers aren't that good.
Hopefully you can help sir.
Take a honors in Physics. You need teach yourself. That is the best. Of course you can see the MIT courses on RUclips on physics...I am sure you know about them.
@@kamrupexpress thanks a lot sir
You said all that info fit compactly in the book. Ok so you opened the cover, now what's your finite subcover?
Good question. The contents of the book are the subcover
Sir I have always admired 🙏🙏😊your way of teaching at NPTEL... fabulous 🤩 it was.. But Sir I have been struggling with the Real Analysis since 1 year... I can understand the proofs but i am unable to recall it later or to prove on my own.... It's the epsilon delta proof which is so alluring but difficult..
Sir please can you name me few books to start with and how must i master the epsilon delta proofs...
Currently in bsc 3rd year and want to research in maths...
There is a book called How to do Real Analysis by Lara Alcok and this book teaches you how to do analysis.
Thanks sir,,very very thanks 🙏❤️❤️🙏
Sir I have a question and its been troubling me a lot lately, it might be inappropriate to ask but it's very important for me to know answer to it. Sir I want to know that does pursue of mathematics and in my case theoretical physics promise high earning opportunities. I have completed my BSc and now as I look forward to my career I have been advised by so many people, from friends, family to professors that I won't be earning a lot of money if I choose to do MSc. I have been advised to do MBA rather. I like science and mathematics surely but in real sense money does come first. I am very confused. And time is passing by and I need to make a decision now. I am not great in science but I have liking for it, and I don't know what happens in MBA. One of the reason why last time I asked you about you pursuing economics was also to know that does it helps in earning more. I don't if its appropriate to ask but I have been confused by this a lot. Please sir tell what do you think about it 🙏🙏
And I like teaching maths and physics too, I teach few of my juniors and one colleague too some particular topics. I need advice at this point as it decides my future.
Sir you also have written a book on calculus or real analysis....i don't remember exactly. Could you please tell sir?
No I haven't.
Sir general proof of cauchy root test why we take limit supremum? Can you help me to learn beautiful mathematics,,, charansparsh 🙏 🙏
Can you let me know your question. Limsup is taken since a sequence will always have a limit supremum
Sir from where you did your graduation and postgraduation ? 😊😊
St Xaviers College Kolkata for Undergraduate. IIT Kharagpur for postgraduate
@@kamrupexpress thanks sir 😊
And please make a video on your education like how were in academics and what struggle you faced for phD. ❤❤❤
@@BrownMunde606 I have done two of them.
@@kamrupexpress thanks sir 🙏🏻☺
Sir I have read the book by Goldberg . Then I read the book by Walter Rudin । Then by Royden . Is my path correct ?

Sir a real analysis lecture please.

I am a human being not a machine. If you are pissed off don't see my channel. I am a Professor and not a regular youtuber. I am not in RUclips to run my house. Speak on the content and not how I look. Is that clear

Professor, I love the story of your life that you tell as you reflect on the first Analysis book that you discuss. I'm glad you mentioned your daughter; I wondered who filmed for you. Best wishes in the new year. Cheerful Calculations. 🧮
Wonderful. I just saw your channel. You are indeed doing a great service for mathematics education.
@@kamrupexpress Thank you Sir. I appreciate your kind words. I take that as encouragement.
