  • Back to my bookshelf again. This time I will speak about two real analysis books. One if the famous " Baby Rudin" and the other is a book on counter examples on real analysis. I will also at the end show some books which I will discuss in the next part of the bookshelf series.

This series on MY BOOKSHELF going to be a great series for those who learn mathematics in a different manner. Every episode of this series gives me a smile. Thanks a lot sir ji. And I just bought Walter Rudin's book today. 😂

Many thanks for these recommendations, sir! As an American of European parents I watch many Indian videos on math and they are super helpful. 🎉😊
Also grateful that so many of them are in English. 😊

Calculus by Tom Apostle ....started reading just few months back.....taking a cue from your previous video of life of average mathematician where you had differentiated between scholar and researcher .....adopted an approach of being the scholarly way as propounded by you and yeah it takes time to adopt to that but it will certainly be possible to traverse through the rigours of mathematics by being true to the teachings and valuable lessons by you..
...that's the joydeep way.... 🙂Thank you so much sir...

oo sir, Did you find maschler's game theory to be rigorous and heavy!!! I think its not so at all compared with tirole or even more advanced book. Just shared my thought. I really liked the counterexample book as it will help us in disproving theorems by just giving an example technique with a better hold.

Sir I have a question and its been troubling me a lot lately, it might be inappropriate to ask but it's very important for me to know answer to it. Sir I want to know that does pursue of mathematics and in my case theoretical physics promise high earning opportunities. I have completed my BSc and now as I look forward to my career I have been advised by so many people, from friends, family to professors that I won't be earning a lot of money if I choose to do MSc. I have been advised to do MBA rather. I like science and mathematics surely but in real sense money does come first. I am very confused. And time is passing by and I need to make a decision now. I am not great in science but I have liking for it, and I don't know what happens in MBA. One of the reason why last time I asked you about you pursuing economics was also to know that does it helps in earning more. I don't if its appropriate to ask but I have been confused by this a lot. Please sir tell what do you think about it 🙏🙏
