tips for greasy hair!🫶🏼 (im not a professional these are just some tips that have helped me and that I would like to share!) -clean hair brushes every 2-3 weeks! -try not to touch your hair a lot! -put your hair in protective styles to keep it from breaking and to keep you from touching it as much! -wash it whenever you need bc everyone’s hair is different! i wash my hair around every 3-4 days but just do whatever! when washing your hair, wash your roots two times and don’t rub your ends just shampoo your roots, and the water will run down and clean your mids/ends! -clarifying shampoo once every two weeks!
Also if your hair lasts a long time when you get it washed at a salon, but only lasts 1-2 days when you wash it at home, it’s probably your shampoo!! (find a detox/clarifying one!)
I have very thick hair and it’s shoulder length and I can’t do a French braid or a Dutch braid on it and I’m not allowed to have claw clips so what other styles would be good for thick shoulder length hair?
Small tip, when cleaning don’t mix baking soda and vinegar together and then clean it. The chemical reaction will have happened by then and creates water, CO2 gas, and sodium acetate. You end up washing whatever you want to with salt, which isn’t good for cleaning. I would recommended putting baking soda in the bath, washing it with soap/shampoo, and rinsing with vinegar than water. Or sprinkle baking soda on the brushes and rinse with vinegar to create the reaction (as the reaction cleans it, but the products of the reaction don’t.) edit: typos
I’ve cleaned it but under water with shampoo in my shower and pull out the hair but now I know I still probably have so much stuff building up in there 😭
I actually didn't wash my combs at all i had every thing prob for 2-3 years🤢my hair never felt clean and was amways irritated but my hair was dry and oily so i didn't know what to do😢 everyday i had flaky hair and my friends will gag😔 i decided to wash my hairbands, claw clips and hair tools the water did not show any dirt, but the water was very greyish and it looked really greasy. I left them to dry. I hope my hair becomes better over time.❤ Ok 2 monthes later i am here with an update👏👏👏👏 MY HAIR IS AMAZINNGH MAMA MIA
Also a reminder that everyone’s hair is different! Not everyone’s hair is greasy and not everyone’s is dry. Some people have to wash their hair everyday and some people have to once a week. Changing your hair brush might help but it might not help everyone. Getting a good shampoo and conditioner that fits your hair type is one of the best things to do. I’m not dating to not clean you brush and do other things too but that might not be the cause of greasy hair. ❤
Everyonds hair is different! If I don’t wash my hair for 1 day and it’s greasy! I have to wash it every single day! This women says that washing it too often causes damage but it’s not true, Everyones hair is different treat your hair in your own schedule that fits your hair! ❤
You might have that oil leftover from last shower, try using a different shampoo, when I was using a regular shampoo from the drugstore it never cleaned my hair fully and just hid the oil until the night or the next day… i switched shampoos and now my hair went from 1-2 days to 3-4. And I had SO much oil in my hair people thought my hair was wet. Now I barely use dry shampoo, and my hair looks and feels so much healthier. The problem was that my current shampoo was not actually cleaning all the oil, and any oil that was leftover would rise to the surface after 1 day. Clarifying and detox shampoos do miracles and doing a double shampoo also, the first shampoo should NEVER be bubbly, only the second should bubble, good/professional shampoos will only bubble when the scalp is clean ❤ If you want to wash your hair everyday that’s fine but I’m just sharing my experience as an oily girl who used to have to wash everyday to now having fluffy, shiny hair, a happy scalp and volume. This is a big difference because I went from not having enough volume and needing to take vitamins and go to doctors to help my thinning hair and dry flakes everywhere and now I have too much hair to wear down and I need to put it up constantly, not to mention I don’t need any more pills (I hated taking them). The only change I made was the shampoo. I don’t use hair masks often either. It’s just worth a shot!
@@miriamlevy2514 Welp that just shows how your hair reacts differently to other shampoos. So your hair reacts differently too other peoples cleaning routine cx
@@miriamlevy2514 what shampoo did you switch to? i have similar problems except i can go 3 - 4 days but like even one day after that i look like i’ve dumped oil on my head 😂

If you hair gets greasy after a day: shampoo your hair twice in the shower and you will see it works!!! It’s easy and I hope this helps you because it helped me 😊
best way to clean is usually with just dish soap, shampoo, or body wash. also you got the measurements wrong ❤ it's 2 tbsp baking soda and 1/4 tbsp apple cider vinegar. 😊
Remember if your a teenager and your hair is getting greasy all the time it’s the hormones it doesn’t mean your hair is dirty it just means that it’s your hormones working, some tips for teens with greasy hair is just don’t be afraid to put greasy oils in it like oily shampoo and hair products actually help because then your body says oh that spot doesn’t need very many extra oils this is just for puberty and hormones though I think if I’m wrong someone tell me
My holy grail out of all that i’ve tried is the olaplex bond repair, my ends are so soft and shiny and tame afterwards but it’s expensive so a cheaper alternative would 100% go for an argan oil or jojoba oil, only on the ends if you have naturally oily hair or medium thickness tho, or else it might drag your hair down
I have curly hair and I use almond or coconut oil on the roots and then use both hair serum and oil (the same oil ) on the ends and then use hair serum on the rest of my hair and my hair look super healthy I do this once a day I also beat egg(s) and put it on and leave on my hair for 5 mins and then wash it out and then use my normal shampoo ( I use the loreal paris one ) and then put mayonise on my hair as a conditioner and leave it on for 5 mins then wash I do it once a week My hair are silky soft smooth everyday I also braid my hair at home and only put in a pony when going out
I have always had extremely oily hair but this helped me a ton I was able go several days with less oil than usual whereas before my hair would legit clump from the amount of oil
I've tried literally everything but it gets greasy after like a day because I have very oily skin. This stuff may help a bit but won't eliminate my oily skin.
1 I get small strands of hair in my face so I have to push them back every 10 seconds or wear a hoodie and put the hood up 2 I don’t have many hair tools because my hair is short 3 I only use a comb to brush my hair 4 I shampoo and condition my hair the way the bottle says and my hair is always greasy after I’ve washed it
Just boil some water with baking soda and stick your brush in it for a few minutes (depending on your brush. Might want to take it off the heat when the water starts to boil) use a small comb or old tooth brush to clean around the bristles. I do this every other month or so. I also get a new brush at least once a year as well.
Also, your hair may also get greasy quicker due to how often you wash it. Like, I have psoriasis, so I need to wash my hair every other day to prevent flare ups, so now my hair is trained to be washed often, so it gets greasy really fast.
Tips: when you do have greasy hair do not brush it more it gets more greasy! Also you can use baby powder if you don’t have dry shampoo! Or just get hair wet with jel and then slick back! * thease are just some or my personal tip*!!
I personally wouldn’t do this once a week bc it’s kinda a waste of water but I will definitely be doing this again in the future Edit: Ok I did this and when I felt my most used brush before and after you could literally feel how much more clean it was💀
I dont use brushes or anything but I do clean my straightener btwn each use which I only use once on the day I wash my hair. My hair is STILL greasy quick😂 I literally have to bleach my hair for not only texture but to dry it out as well😂
