There’s a theory I can make up for this. The guys from an alternate universe. Everything you saw there was normal for whoever that person is. That person could just be as confused as you are and your world crashed when he killed you was because you travelled to a different dimension on accident throughout that one world.

Imagine, if Mojang decides to make an update of sturcters like random houses that are not in a village, streetlights or something else like that, it'd be really cool. But imagine if somebody didn't know this update was a thing and they thought their world is cursed.
It'd be even cooler if the houses or other structures look old and worn down, as in, like there was some sort of civilisation that died out, idk. It'd be a cool theory, especially together with the Endermen theory.
