Just to clarify for Sal. I dont watch you guys based on your subject matter. I watch because I wanna hear your guys takes on stuff. Even thangs Im not interested in. I love Sals passion for 👻's.
I’m 31, just got into ghostbusters last 5 years or so but really have fell in love with it. The OG movies, the show, the comic, video game and toys. I’m stoked for it but I accept I’m the narrow demographic Sal is speaking of. So excited for this chapter
Ghostbusters means everything to me. I have a very emotional attachment to it. It’s ironic hearing you guys expect no one to watch this when this is the most excited I’ve ever been for an Absolutely! video because I love whenever Sal talks about Ghostbusters.
Bumblebee was the closest to a G1 Transformers movie, and I love it. I'm nearly 50 and thought that it hit all the right nostalgic notes, both the period and the bots, and would have loved to seen that style keep going.
👻At 2:07 Environmental Protection Agency inspector Walter Peck who was in Ghostbusters (1984) film returns with law enforcement and city workers to have the Ghostbusters arrested and their containment unit deactivated, causing an explosion that releases the captured ghosts.👻
I would pay serious money for a Comicstorian reading of the Hellbent/ ManHellton 3rd movie script. It's genuinely great it's got a Indiana Jones and the last crusade feeling, where we see the crew as teens from NJ in school when they first met Then they literally go to Hell. Low and behold Hell is Manhattan but brimstone and fire everywhere with constant gridlock in traffic 😂
Sals pitch for a potential 3 franchise is so genius that I don't think Sony would be clever enough to do it. Hell I'm surprised Sony hasn't tried the real insane thing and crossed over GB and MIB
No it isn't. You don't need 3 ghostbusters franchises. It's way too much and they won't be good. Bring out one decent ghostbusters movie every 2-3 years and we'll still be over it within 5 movies.
Bill Murray wasn't happy for the script on 3 because they wanted to kill him off and have him be a ghost in it and he thought it was crap, but after Harold died and someone was already dead they changed it and he was open to reading the new script
I believe another reason why Bill Murray refused to do a third ghostbusters was because he had a huge falling out with the late Harold Ramis, and from What I understand Murray didn't speak to Ramis for years. I've also heard Bill regrets never mending his friendship with Ramis before his death.
I'm 32 and grew up with the original two movies, reruns of the real ghost busters. Also I was one of the 5 viewers of extreme Ghostbusters. I just want Ghost busters as a franchise to succeed. I love concept too much.
Is this like the 27th ghostbuster team? I remember seeing a poster showing all the ghostbuster teams from movies to cartoon and comics. Never knew there was so many ghostbuster.
i totally agree with Sal im 40 I've been a ghostbusters fan ever since i was a child and i totally agree with Sal and some of the things yall brought up they did alot of that in the ghostbusters comics as well like the ghostbusters international story arc but i do believe it could work
The Ghostbusters content we need in 2024!!!! Let's gooooooo! 😂 "bustin makes me feeeeel gooood!" "Spirit some ppl hear it some ppl fear it, spirit some ppl just won't go near it!" "Well I guess we're gonna have to taaaake controoooll...." Sing the medly yall! "Cleanin up the toooooooownnnn!" "Do you believe it's magic....magic...."
I would have loved an alternate universe Ghostbusters movie with Paul Rudd as Peter Venkman, Nicholas Hoult as Egon Spengler, Patton Oswalt as Ray Stanz, and Sam Wilson as Winston Zeddemore. Younger actors good enough to make a great movie, or even a trilogy, and then be done.
I give a shit about Ghostbusters. And I also watch these guys, Benny & Sal, as well as Rob (comicsexplained) , Dopespill & Eric Voss Of @newrockstars I love that these guys took everything I was told was a waste of time and have made careers, successful careers, from them. These guys have a tendency to downplay the amount of views or lack of importance that people will find in the content that they create and I find it it's a very humbling/shy thing that they do because they don't want to come across as possessing egotistical self worth. These guys understand that there is a difference between being famous, being Hollywood famous, being Pop Culture famous and etc etc.... They're not household names but they clearly have a strong following within the RUclips community collectively and individually with their channels. I feel that Sal and Benny will always down play they're views or success, because it keeps them humble and these guys are real world fans of the fictional heros we love hearing them talk about. So They're never going to allow themselves to fall to the dark side of popularity and believe themselves to be hot shit. Personally I hate it when they say things like that, 1. because I have a bond with these people I've never met or spoken with or communicated with that is forged after hundreds of hours spent literally listening and watching them convey and influence my views on a slew of different topics and ideals from their narritive. All while using Comics or Pop Culture as the way to go about it. 2. It's the whole protective of what I value, so if you say what you're doing isn't worthy of attention or won't grab the attention of too many people...then what does that say about me... 🤔 Wait hey don't say that. Kind of a thing. 3. My lack of understanding why more people aren't aware of these guys. I think I made my point. I just wanted to be clear, I don't have an unhealthy obsession with these people mentioned or anyone really for that matter. I understand that my opinion is completely from my perspective and not a mutual thing. There is no bond other than the value I've placed from me to them and its not in anyway shape or form reciprocated. I know the Internet (us &we) can take something someone says and twist it into that person seeking mental health or trying to convince them their wrong or misunderstanding things. Which brings it back to my point. They don't want to accept that they're modern day celebrities who have become famous yet have no works or art, film or content other than youtube. I think it's a unique art form that they've unintentionally championed and made for themselves and denying they're influence is in a way them acknowledging, either consciously or subconsciously their popularity and influence.
Great another boring POS movie that thinks referencing a better movie makes it good like the last 2 horrible GB movies. There's only been one great GB movie and one pretty good sequel

Same. I don’t give a sh It about ghostbuster .I’ve never seen it

Waitaminute, is that Walter Peck? Is Peck the mayor in this?
Super hyped for all good Ghostbusters content. Love seeing you guys get to geek out about other fun content too!
I'm with Sal on this one! Having the franchise being split into 3 teams in the same world is actually pretty awesome! A little something for everyone!

It was really good to see both your reactions and hear your thoughts on the trailer. Thanks for all you both do.

"nobody's gonna watch this"
Me in the mirror: you are somebody
I am so excited to see this movie. Saw the original in theaters when I was 4. Been a fan ever since.
Sal does not age.
I'm aging out of Ghostbusters at 36? Wow
What does that mean for me at 48??! oh no! lol
I believe another reason why Bill Murray refused to do a third ghostbusters was because he had a huge falling out with the late Harold Ramis, and from What I understand Murray didn't speak to Ramis for years. I've also heard Bill regrets never mending his friendship with Ramis before his death.
Actually Bill Murray did make amends with Harold Ramis before his death. Ramis’s Daughter mentions it in her book.
I haven't been able to read her book yet. I'm glad they fixed things.@@angelamcardle8311

I'm old as hell (41) and want to see more ghost busters, lol
I'm in the same boat as Sal. Keep making Ghostbusters and i"ll be there to see it. heh heh
Is this like the 27th ghostbuster team? I remember seeing a poster showing all the ghostbuster teams from movies to cartoon and comics. Never knew there was so many ghostbuster.
Looked fun I'm sure people will still find something to whine about with the silly ghost vacuum movie
When I get paid this weekend I'm going to buy some hot sauce
I'll watch Sal talk about ANYTHING. It's doesn't mean I'll go see it lol. But I might catch this honestly
I love it so much when the absolutely cast goes off on Sony
Patton Oswald Leads the KidBusters
i totally agree with Sal im 40 I've been a ghostbusters fan ever since i was a child and i totally agree with Sal and some of the things yall brought up they did alot of that in the ghostbusters comics as well like the ghostbusters international story arc but i do believe it could work

I've bought all games movies toys for Ghostbusters. Got my daughter into Ghostbusters so I have someone to watch it with 😂

The International Trailer has a lot more in it.
Oh I forgot we have Ghost Drones 😂
Turtles seems evergreen to me
Also in the trailer whatever the big bad is freezing a proton blast mid fire. How the hell strong is that thing?
I just have one question... 😁Is there whiskey in the hot sauce?
I'm going mostly because it looks like a fun movie and plus I usually go to a movie once a week

Movie looks great and I liked afterlife a lot.
I'm excited for this. I thought Afterlife was great!
ghost busters multiverse will give us the other ghostbusters lol and thor.

For the algorithm
Why are they turning silly film into a franchise lol
No no, it's been a franchise for 40 years.
@@AbsolutelyMarvelDC really? 😂
