I love how simple this video is. No fluff straight to the point
Seriously this is exactly what I needed! I'm a busy woman! Hahah
thank you for a simple clear lesson, I just started growing microgreens, so helpful, Bless u
Did this help for starting off and did it work?
Hows it going?
Thank you so much for this. I’m teaching myself how to grow a garden and I picked this up today for starters! 😊
Great Show!
Soooo LOVE your detailed yet the simplicity of instruction. Thank you. Your direction gave me the comfort level to try this.
Exactly the video I needed! Thank you! 😊😊
after harvesting, can we reuse the soil with a new batch of seeds? or do we dispose and start with a clean tray?
Absolutely, break it up and toss it into the bag of soil... kinda composted it.
I am going to throw mine in my tomato bag mix and see what happens. I figure it will compost in the soil. Good or bad idea?
Great video! I am doing micro greens for the first time this year. Really great info. Thank you for info about not needing all the expensive trays!! Great news.
Thank you very much for the information. Is it a good idea to plant a few seeds into an actual pot and grow it into a mature plant and harvest the additional seeds then? I think that would be a good way to save additional money and further increase self-reliance.
You would need to sow seeds into small seedling pots, and when they are about three inches high, transplant into bigger pots (using potting soil and fertiliser) or into a prepared garden bed (weed free, dug out with good soil and fertiliser added). And of course the bigger plants need to be watered and fed regularly. So, if you have a small space or live in an apartment, micro greens are great to grow on a regular basis.
Should they be kept covered with the lid when they are growing?
Thank you. You just gave me an idea to use containers that usually goes to the garbage 👍🏼
Great video! Did you get a second cutting?
Thank you so much for the clear instructions. Do they attract flies or bugs? Do you keep it covered at all times?
Thank you so much! You are clear, to the point, and I can’t wait to start my micro greens garden!
Great video. Thank you!
But far the best and easiest video to follow!! Thank you!!😊
Very informative! Ty! One of the best videos i have found on microgreens from start to finish.
This is a great, thorough video, and with very easy steps. Thank you. I shall definitely start up micro greens again.
Internet Shaquille recommended this video and I can see why! Excellent content :^) Thank you!
Did the cut microgreens have a second growth? Do you reuse the dirt?
I planted about 5 different types of microgreens. They are now ready to harvest. My question is, do I throw away the remaining of plant after harvesting? Or will it grow again after cutting?
what about humidity and temperature? How do u keep stable of the two?
Thanks for the quick lesson. It’s what I needed to get three types going! Good tip about reusing salad containers! 🌻🌻🌻
Hi. I’m a new subscriber! Questions:
Do you have issues with pests?
Lighting? Any special lighting?
What is the difference between sprouts and microgreens? (Your opinion)
Your presentation style is appreciated. Thanks 😊
Such a clear and helpful video. Thank you so very much for taking the time and effort to simply explain how to grow microgreens. 💖
Thanks for sharing. I got a baby conure and I want to be able to grow her own sprouts
What kind of light do you use?
What type of light bulb did you use or is best? I don't have a sunny location, so I will rely heavily on that light bulb.
Do you have to keep buying more seeds to start over each time or do you let some plants grow and give you seeds?
So well done!
i just started doijng this and honestly il line my walls with this stuff if it saves me from shopping at a grocery store lol. so far ive only tried turtle beans, mung beans and lentils. the lentils grew nicely, the rest grow curly into the soil.
I'm about to attempt a small indoor microgreen garden.
Any beginners tips, and can spinach be grown as a microgreen?
And is it OK to mix seeds on the same grow pad?
Spinach takes like two weeks to germinate and will flower/bolt if it has too many hours of sunlight.
you are wonderful ! I admire your ability to be focused and ability to help others to process in a practical way. plus, you are beutiful. I may be a little off by saying so,but i often think of of you even if has been many years. The Marconi/Point Reyes days are history but Memories are forever. Much love to you ,Darrell.
Is there a specific type of water I need to use or can I just use tap water?
really well explained thank you
???? I'm inspired! Dl the trays need direct sunlight? How many hours of light are needed?
This is a very good and interesting video! Thank you so very much.
I love that you reuse old containers
Thank you, while not new to gardening, this will be my first time growing microgreens. Could you share that study you mentioned in the beginning of your video. Thank you.
Great video.
Wish someone would answer the questions!!
Thank you for this video.. you made it look simple ❤
Exactly what I needed to know!
Great video! Starting it in our school
This video is really well made. Thanks so much.
Thank you so much. This is exactly what I was looking for.
Awesome video🤗
How Manny times I can cut them and still grow again from the same seeds? Or its just one time thing...
Thanks for Sharing!❤
How pleasant was that ! Thank you :)
Thank you. So simple and clear.
Oh my! I've been throwing away my seeds during germination because I thought mold was growing on them! 😂 thanks for including that!
☺thank you, I really enjoy this information, it's very useful.
Awesome ! Gonna try it
Hello, is it recommended to have water on the bottom tray so the soil will absorb water and always stay moist? I have seen that you need to keep the leaves as dry as possible. Or will this be too much water at once. Thank you
That will work. It may even be better to avoid mould if the leaves get wet.
I’m growing broad bean shoots on my window sill in compost...After a week or two the leaves start to emerge but turn black. Is it overwater?.
Thanks for making this video.
Thank you very much .
What should the soil feel like when mixing with water
Thank you. Very informative!
What is the process for harvesting seeds so you never have to buy them again?
Simple technique, thank you for sharing
Thank you for the good information.
Amazing! Thank you
So you dont put them in blackout or weight them? I will try this way
Thank you very much for this clear guide 🌱
Exactly the info I was looking for. Thank you soooooo much.
Excellent. Thank you.
Thank you for your video. I am going to try micro green
This video is very helpful, thank youuu😊
Do you need special lighting?if u do in winter
thank you so much
This was super helpful and informative! I will be doing this.
Awesome tips❤❤❤❤
thank you very much for your very informative video. I really enjoyed it.
When to cover them & for how long ?
If the trays sit in a warm or humid room, no need to cover, but in a cool room it will help if you place a plastic bag on them until they germinate, and then remove the bag. They need light at all times but not direct sunlight.
I’m definitely interested in growing micro greens. I noticed the greens you showed us were not in the same trays you planted. Did the baking trays not work out?
Probably still worked. She just showed microgreens prepared before... The one on the tray she showed us still germinating.
Any tray will work provided you drill a few small holes in it for water drainage.
When cutting or harvesting part of the plant, would they continue to produce shoots?
No
Nice but do they give off seeds to regrow?
Really? Do those plants look like they’ve matured enough to produce seed? It’s liking asking a three-year old if she’s ovulating.
@@wendyperez8714 That was uncalled for. They're probably just starting off and don't know, also that example was really weird.
well done informative video. :)
A thumbs up just for the name🤣👌
I appreciate you 🙏🏽🌺
Are they organic?
What about Hydroponic??
Great video!🙃
did you not cover them?
I sell these at my church and i have made 50-60 dollars!
The original ones didn’t work out?
Some people on the internet suggest covering the seeds in the soil with a cover and leaving them in darkness? I'm confused now. You did not cover yours and left them in the sunnlight. Is that what I should do?
My mom mentioned the same thing to me when she came over Sunday and saw my sprouting trays on my counter by the window!
She said, “you should put them in the dark or they won’t grow!” Well I didn’t move them! Ha!
& I only wish you could see how beautiful they are now. I started soaking them Saturday night so it’s day 5 today and they are r-e-a-d-y!
I’m giving them just 1 more day though!!!
I also didn’t cover except one day because it was extra dry in my house
Depends on the seed. Some need to be pressed down so the roots go south. They will grow either way. Being in the dark will make them get taller-seeking light. I cover mine for 3-4 days
That will be for when you try to germinate seeds to grow outdoors. For micro greens, place the trays on a table or windowsill where there’s light but not direct sunlight.
I heard miraclegro is not organic soil. But how could it be inorganic it’s just soil?
It’s all the crap they put in it. It’s a potting mix with synthetic junk that is rather not eat. I have no faith in the brand.
@@wendyperez8714 okay thank you for the info :)
So wet but not dry, and that is? how do I know how much water is enough?
Slightly moist
Good vidya!
Cool video. Please don't use miracle grow or gmo seeds though.
Thank you for the video!
They are starting to sprout!😁
Nooooo miracle grow !!!!
You don’t wash them?
You wash them just before using, but most people don’t, as they sit on a clean surface indoors. But I always wash any vegetable before using.
Ya I cringed when I saw miracle grow, she turned a good thing into a tainted one. Still a great video!
Who is here because the food supply is about to collapse along with the internet so you’re wanting to prepare and learn?
Thought so.
But avoid Monsanto products at all cost please thank you!
