I went to Edinburgh on my own around a year ago and this video made me tear up a little. I left a piece of my heart in Scotland and I can't wait to return. 💛
This is so strange to watch because while I live in Ireland, not Scotland, this is still similar enough to the place I live that it's a different experience entirely. Usually your footage of your life in the States is what makes your videos interesting and "far away" from me. You going to "Savers" and "iHop" is far more adventurous to me than old castles and gaelic words, because those are just normal to me. when i first watched this video i was making my uni applications and edinburgh uni was my first choice, and i wanted to get in so much - i watched this video a few times a week honestly, bc i was so excited about the prospect of living in edinburgh. now a year later i've finished my first semester at edinburgh university and have just come home for christmas! i'm watching this video back and it's so strange seeing edinburgh with such a different perspective to when i watched it all that time ago, and seeing you walk down streets that seemed so far away before, but now i see them on the bus on my way to uni. it's been a weird few months being so far from home but having so many new exciting things to do at the same time, and now i'm home i'm excited to catch up on all your videos i missed when i was swamped with uni work. i just wanted to let you know how nice it's been having your videos as company over the past 2 years

I remember when I went to Scotland and Europe in 2015-16 my family and I went up to Pitlochry on New Year’s Day and we watched my parents’ friend play music in a pub and honestly it’s one of my favourite memories from that trip so I’m glad you had such an amazing trip!

I went to Scotland around this time last year and visited some of the same places! I also had allergy problems while I was there, I think my little nose just wasn't used to the air of a far away place; regardless my trip was still lovely, I loved revisiting some of the places with you! I saw in your vlog before this one before you went on your trip that you were taking Zyrtech. As a TRUE allergy suffer of ALL MY LIFE, LOL, Zyertech is to be taken at night before bed. Make that a nightly regimen, ok? Plus, walgreens has their own version of the stuff, too, at a lower price that works just as well or better! But, take it at night as Zyertech works BEST when you're sleeping and it keeps on working as you go throughout your day. If you need something non-drowsy for you to take during the day, take Advil Pain and Congestion. You can't miss it as it's in a yellow and red box. See how I know about how to deal with allergies? LOL! Advil for your allergy attacks during the day with no drowsiness and Zyrtech every night! You'll be right as rain! It was suggested by my primary and allergy doctor YEARS ago and it never fails! omg thank u so much. for the supportive and positive words, and the allergy advice! That's what I've been doing, for about 10 days now I think.. allergy pills right before bed. And yes, I haven't been hit with the same drowsiness in the day! such a big difference... and also, the sleep i get too. I have been letting myself naturally wake up the past couple mornings, instead of setting an 8am alarm. I like to wake up early so I can do my morning walk and get into the routine, but I think it was taking a hit on my chronic fatigue (with the time change and the traveling). So I woke up at 10 yesterday and almost 9 this morning... initially I am like oMG it's latee! but then, I realize that I don't feel heavy headed and I can focus on the tasks in my day :-D thank you THANK you again for everything. i admire how you manage to keep a positive attitude throughout your trip despite the difficulties that arise. i'm currently also traveling and it makes me reflect on how i've been dealing with the issues that occurred during my own trip - i definitely could have dealt with them better, haha.

I've seen a few comments saying this already, but seeing you in Scotland reminds me of how beautiful it was! I travelled from Edinburgh up to the Isle of Skye in January this year, and I'll never forget it. Definitely left a bit of myself there

I went to Scotland around this time last year and visited some of the same places! I also had allergy problems while I was there, I think my little nose just wasn't used to the air of a far away place; regardless my trip was still lovely, I loved revisiting some of the places with you! Your videos are always so beautiful to watch (:

So nice to see a Scotland video. Americans usually go rushing to Ireland but I personally find Scotland more beautiful. It's cool that you're interested in tartan as well. Our clan is called Gunn, we have a family tartan that's quite turquoise. Only wear it at weddings, though.

I am totally in denial! Now, I really feel old! LOL! But, I enjoy your wonderment and it makes my heart warm seeing you so happy! I will tell you this! I saw in your vlog before this one before you went on your trip that you were taking Zyrtech. As a TRUE allergy suffer of ALL MY LIFE, LOL, Zyertech is to be taken at night before bed. Make that a nightly regimen, ok? Plus, walgreens has their own version of the stuff, too, at a lower price that works just as well or better! But, take it at night as Zyertech works BEST when you're sleeping and it keeps on working as you go throughout your day. If you need something non-drowsy for you to take during the day, take Advil Pain and Congestion. You can't miss it as it's in a yellow and red box.
See how I know about how to deal with allergies? LOL! Advil for your allergy attacks during the day with no drowsiness and Zyrtech every night! You'll be right as rain! It was suggested by my primary and allergy doctor YEARS ago and it never fails! I hope that helps ya, Annabelle-beans! Love ya to bits! You stay sweet, ya hear! ^___~*♥♥♥
omg thank u so much. for the supportive and positive words, and the allergy advice! That's what I've been doing, for about 10 days now I think.. allergy pills right before bed. And yes, I haven't been hit with the same drowsiness in the day! such a big difference... and also, the sleep i get too. I have been letting myself naturally wake up the past couple mornings, instead of setting an 8am alarm. I like to wake up early so I can do my morning walk and get into the routine, but I think it was taking a hit on my chronic fatigue (with the time change and the traveling). So I woke up at 10 yesterday and almost 9 this morning... initially I am like oMG it's latee! but then, I realize that I don't feel heavy headed and I can focus on the tasks in my day :-D thank you THANK you again for everything. I am so grateful for you as a part of this community. Love you and see you soon ❤️TAKE CARE!!

i felt so sorry when i saw your instaposts about your troublesome start of this already quite nervous making trip. especially cheering so much for you and that experience under your last video. my only thought was... may the difficult beginning just be a sign for a wonderful trip :) ...also, on another note, i can only imagine how special it must have felt to get to know a little more about your dad's (family) culture. but i feel it in my heart. so very glad you had this opportunity. i am looking forward to watch aaaalll the travel vlogs :D haha
