- I have a home tour today, probably the last in this house , I have started preparing for a massive downsizing garage sale.
It's been more difficult than anticipated but in order to decide what stays and what goes I have discovered a lot about how and why my homes are the way they are. I hope you enjoy

You inspire me constantly. When I decided to completely revamp my home it was after I binge watched so many of your videos. I wanted my home to look like your home(s). And your creativity and creations always blow my mind.
In all honesty, you have given me the ideas, and, most importantly, the courage to decorate with what you love. Not what is trending. And my home is now a beautiful cozy space.

Thank you for sharing your creative Style. Your children and grandchildren are blessed with your ideas and presentation and will carry a small piece of, that personally to inspire their heart to happiness, throughout their lives. How lucky they are!
Creating a home can be anywhere in the World, from a tiny New York City Loft or Paris Apartment or a Duplex, happiness and peace can be created.
I finally learned to only purchase what speaks to me. Having moved 23 times for my career, my #1 Mantra is only take what you Love. Throughout the years, everyone’s taste develops. I have given away items to my sisters and friends, seeing how they styled it just makes me happy.
I am sure your Landlord will be sorry to see you Move to France. The upgrades and decorating you and your husband have done , he should pay you both!
Please take those yellow curtains with you to France, I adore them.

Your home is so lovely, and it makes me smile to see the different rooms and feels. Even though I live in the United States, I notice quite a few of the same types of things. I especially love your needlepoint wall as I also needlepoint. I have several finished pieces that have been blocked, but I wasn’t sure if I wanted to make anymore pillows with them. This gives me the idea to frame them, and I can look for some vintage frames. Thanks for sharing your home, and I hope the Summer treats you well!
Needle point is a beautiful art I love to see a nice pillow but they look amazing framed. I wish I had the talent……..show off your finished pieces and share with everyone. ❤️

I notice you have a Paddington Bear in the toile bedroom. He is from Peru, and , we adopted a 5 wk. old baby girl from Lima, Peru. She is now 34 and has 2 girls of her own. Love all your decorated rooms, they have a European feeling so you did a great job. The British Isles is my ancestral home, but sadly, I have never been there. DNA 42% British Isles. We have been here in the United States for over 225 yrs. so much is lost in that time. They settled in KY in where a lot of Scotch & Irish settled in the Appalachian area. So I love your English Manor decorating style.
Oh! That little Paddington Bear was my mom’s it holds a very special place in my heart and yours I suspect. I always think that British style has evolved in so many countries no where more than America I love New England and colonial styles 🇺🇸

I’m an American and just visited the Cotswolds last August. People were lovely, the towns, farm shops and gardens were gorgeous! I want to move there. The driving was hazardous, not sure I could ever drive there. 😅 Cheers!
Omg I grew up round the Cotswolds it really is idyllic……..but the roads are horrible lol we would need to be chauffeured if either of us decided to relocate lol 😆
I’m American. I’ve never been to England. I took a DNA test and I’m 68% British. I love British history. I love British film thank you for taking me through that antique shop. I kept saying, I like that. Oh I like that too. I would’ve bought all kinds of things I been able to. I love light academia decor. I also like very Italian decor. I’m disabled but if I wasn’t, I would’ve been to England long ago. Thank you for sharing your video.🇺🇸

I love your taste. Mine is very similar although I was born in Philadelphia. I have old silk drapes and a wrought iron set of table and chairs from an old home on the Mainline. The rest is family antiques and things from over the years. You are so very creative and I love your videos 🩷😊

Oh boy I get it, but if your lucky there are still bargains available, they are fewer and definitely more pricey than they used to be but I wish you good thrifting 🤞

I completely relate to how our early years and experiences can be reflected in our style and decor choices.
I was born and spent my early years in San Francisco. In my foyer, I have a gallery wall of watercolor prints done by the commercial artist Floyd Hildebrand, who captured the essence of San Francisco in the 1950's and 1960's when I lived there. I love these and the memories they evoke.
The older I get the more English I become ! Lol isn’t it silly. 🇬🇧

Lovely to hear your voice and your descriptions of everything is helpful. Because of you I found 2 sets of toile curtains red and cream and I had to buy them your 3 dollars each. It wasn't stated in the video but I could clearly see that some of the footage was from a tour of Blenheim Palace (from about 1:53 to 3:10), a place I am familiar with. I lived in Bicester in the 1970's and was fascinated by my memorable tour of the Palace. The famous portraits of the first Duke of Marlborough with his family, Consuelo Vanderbilt, the first wife of the 9th Duke and the many portraits of Winston Churchill caught my attention and clued me in to the location.
Oh I absolutely love Blenheim Palace the history and splendour is unmatched (outside the royal palace) and its connection to the Churchills is just amazing, the whole are of Oxfordshire is very beautiful (good catch, you must really know it well) ❤️
