This isn't producing. Downloading sample packs and adding drums/bass is literally easy as fuck, it takes like a week to get the hang of it. Not hating btw before you brainlets get mad, just funny seeing people who think this is in anyway difficult. Hope x can start to slowly move away from cookie cutter loops and actually start to make his own music. That said, he's getting the hang of the DAW quickly and is already streamlining his workflow, though he does have Jesse and Poke to thank for the headstart.

Edit: I’m in no way knocking his progress, just saying it’s no surprise he’s improving this quickly because he gets paid to do so (which allows him to make beats as often as he wants) and he has people teaching him along with the free software he got.

its nice that he has access to all the melodies he needs on splice + all the packs that were sent to him. it really helps with learning general song structure and sound selection. trying to make melodies and chord progressions without knowing music theory can be very overwhelming to a beginner and will really slow down the creativity.
I been making melodies for like 4 years and don’t know hardly any music theory. I stopped using splice loops after a couple weeks because I deemed it cheating.
@@SynsuRap some people dont like to use them but fact is they are used by professionals all the time. there's no shame in it unless you rely on loops for everything. I don't normally use them either but when I do I flip it into something new.
the biggest thing is that it's just fast and can get the creativity going, as a beginner it's definitely helpful to just drag and drop a sample in and work around that.

music theory? If you can complete a 1:1 1st species counterpoint exercise I would be impressed but I doubt it. To know music theory it requires so much more than a chord progression
@@Sunkem1Not6Hacks bro what are you even talking about? nobody cares if you can complete that exercise or not. what I was referring to was basic things like major/minor scales, intervals, harmonic function etc. it can be overwhelming to learn and incorporate all that as a beginner and its best to just get creative and comfortable before worrying about it. nobody said "knowing" music theory is being able to write a chord progression.

i loooove that he's experimenting with bass more like at 9:28. it's fucking amazing that he's already able to make such a great bass pattern. it's easy to neglect bass but it adds so much to a song when it's done well.
also he mentions not liking the sound of his 808s - he needs a plugin to compress and saturate the 808. Camel Crusher is a free one i've used but there are several out there

I remember when my shit sounded like this, and I was showing my beats to people proud as shit, cause it was cool just making something. It's really impressive how he progressed so quickly. A teacher makes learning faster if you're learning something from 0% as compared to self-learning. I was learning all by myself from the beginning and it took me a lot of time to reach where XQC's at.

When I started making beats I never knew how to sample and just never fucked with it so for the first 6 months I got really good at makin melodies and now I be samplin left and right with my own Melodie’s and shit. It’s a pretty dope grind
