Really great sound breakdown. I can see a lot of your theories being possible. Switch really is such a phenomenal system. I have a PC for high end gaming and switch covers a whole other niche for me. Also cheap enough that i can get them for nieces and nephews as gifts lol
That casting idea is awesome. Thing is with something like that to run smoothly. You will need a lot of power from your internet speeds to strong hardware. You might of thought this but I wanted to throw my $0.02 in.
I think the name will be Switch Attach and you can attach accessories to it with magnets like apple magsafe. A camera, 2nd screen, vr headset, stuff like that will be sold separately.
Here are some interesting points to consider regarding the upcoming Nintendo console: While many have expressed a desire for 4K resolution at 60 frames per second (FPS), it is important to note that neither the Xbox Series X nor the PlayStation 5 consistently achieve these specifications in their games. Therefore, it is unlikely that Nintendo would prioritize 4K resolution for its next console. If the new console incorporates a system-on-a-chip (SoC) with tensor cores capable of utilizing Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) technology, developers could potentially leverage this feature. However, it is worth noting that the console's portable mode would likely revert to a maximum resolution of 1080p. A more realistic target for docked mode could be 1440p resolution. This would be more achievable and would allow developers to more consistently reach the desired 60 FPS. It is also important to remember that the current Nintendo Switch throttles its CPU in portable mode to extend battery life. This practice is likely to continue with the next console. The OLED model of the Nintendo Switch utilizes a smaller Mariko version of the Tegra X1 processor. Nintendo could have increased the clock speeds of this chip to near-maximum levels without causing overheating issues. However, they opted to maintain the original clock speeds in favour of even better battery life.
All the points are quite reasonable. I’d like AR back too. I think it wouldn’t hurt the system even if only 1st party games made the most of it. I still like the idea of them experimenting with how we interact with games. No matter what happens someone will be disappointed but I hope to be challenged instead of only keeping us at the comfort zone in gaming interaction. Without alienating 3rd party games of course.
I'm glad I'm not the only one that is hoping for the dual-screen feature, it would be the best way to enable complete DS, 3DS and Wii U backwards compatibility! The Switch screen is already touchscreen, just give us a stylus and it will work
I can see Nintendo Selects come into play for Switch games and be a way to expand the life of Switch onto Switch 2 (if they change the way the physical games for the next nintendo look, have the nintendo selects be packaging be in that new format).
If that doesn't happen, which is unlikely, just mod chip your Switch before getting the newer gen. That way you'll have access to all your stuff for eternity. Planning to do that with my OLED and dump all my 50 plus games on a 1TB card.

@@Josie_Woah Dual screen gaming is pretty fun, would be nice if it came back. If the new joy-cons are magnetic like rumored, then it would be easy to flip the console vertical and attach them to the sides that way too and get DS / 3DS / Wii U dual screen in handheld mode. Maybe they add a stylus too, since they renewed patents or was it trademarks for kirby rainbow curse, stretchmo and toon link (thinking of spirit tracks and phantom hourglass).😊
The new Switch gimmick will be a pack-in headset for VR enabled games. All games will be playable without it, but games like Metroid Prime and Mario Kart will have a VR mode. Similar to the 'Labo VR Kit' and the 'Mario Kart Arcade GP VR' they experimented with before. The screen will work way better with VR than the current Switch. Just my guess.
The more quotes and rumors we hear lately on Switch 2, it's starting to sound just like a more powerful of the current Switch... not even new gimmicks... so it's their most safest successor release in quite some time
This is the best route for Nintendo, and we even have evidence from suppliers and customs clearance saying that it has 12gbs of RAM, internal storage of 256gb with speeds as fast as the Series S, and power comparative to the PS4 Pro Docked (DLSS 4k 60, or 1440p 60) and PS4 handheld (1080p 60). Some say that doesn't sound "significant" but that's more powerful than a steamdeck, and even in some parts the ROG Ally. Also have people played games on the PS4 Pro? It can literally run and play God of War Ragnarok... c'mon people.
It would be kinda funny if the Switch's successor is just the Wii U reinvented. A second screen that you hold in your hands that displays something different from what's shown on the TV and can be used to emulate DS games. To be fair, I would be interested to see what that would look like with the technology of today.

That way people don’t repeat with what the Wii and Wii U did and confuse the consumers. Blatantly state that it’s next gen and that going forward the switch will have less and less support. As much as I had fun with the switch, it has to come to en end, like the NES, Gameboy, and DS they had their moment in the sun.
Josie the dual screen is a no go! The latency for gaming wouldn’t be ideal for streaming ala casting from your phone. Idk tho the Wii U had something similar to the gamepad but it was proprietary tech 🤷🏻♂️
Even though 4K has become more mainstream so to speak, there's still millions upon millions of people that still has HD TVs in their homes, not 4K TVs. I know I'm stating the obvious when I say this but, playing games at 4K requires buying a 4K and I guess....... putting your HD TV in a storage if you have one? I'm not really sure. A large majority of people are not going to ditch their HD TVs just to upgrade to a 4K TV, especially when the HD TV is working like a charm. I'm one of those individuals that just doesn't care for jaw dropping visuals and high frame rates, I don't prioritize anything technical when it comes to video games or movies. All I've ever cared about in video games, movies, and cartoons is the quality of the content that they have to offer. I mean, let's be honest here, having a Nintendo console with all of the bells and whistles of high fidelity graphics and frame rate would make it a VERY expensive Nintendo console, and not even the last thing Nintendo wants to do is alienate a large majority of their fanbase. All of these exceptionally large and ambitious ideas that some people have regarding how much power they want this TBA (To Be Announced) Nintendo Switch successor to have would require an astronomical amount of R&D (Research & Development) and a virtually insurmountable amount of resources and money, and when you couple that with a myriad of other expensive factors, you're looking at a Nintendo console that would be far more expensive than the PS5 AND the Xbox Series X, probably about $700 dollars, or at the most unfavorable scenario $800 dollars. Nintendo has always wanted their consoles to be budget friendly for everybody, regardless of your/their income bracket, and making a Nintendo console with raw cutting-edge horsepower would be the exact opposite of being budget friendly. And again, like I pointed out, there's a LOT of people that won't upgrade to a 4K TV unless their existing HD TV gave up the ghost and the only TVs on the market to buy are 4K TVs only, but even then some might find some used like new HD TVs and go from there. At the end of the day and in the grand scheme of things, it's going to be virtually impossible to convince millions of people to ditch their HD Televisions (which probably took years of hard work for them to upgrade to eventually in the first place) and buy 4K Televisions just to experience games and/or movies and other media with fancy Ultra HD graphics which racks up the cost of the 4K console. I play PS5 games and Xbox One X games at 1080p on a 1080p TV, but would I enjoy 4K gaming? Absolutely, but do I prioritize it and rank it as a must have in gaming? NO, absolutely not, I don't care for it at all. When it's all said and done, some people are never going to be able to accept the fact that Nintendo does not want to engage in that red ocean strategy that Sony/PlayStation and Microsoft/Xbox has been buttin' heads in for decades now. Nintendo staying in the neutral blue ocean is what works the best for them, just look at the Nintendo Switch as definitive proof if anybody needs " proof " of that. Whatever this Nintendo Switch successor ends up being, it'll be just as successful (if not more successful) as the Nintendo Switch, and I boldly proclaim that right now. Anyway, thanks for posting this video Josie, it compelled me to jot down this extensive......... soliloquy about the whole ordeal of Nintendo's " unorthodox " video game hardware. GOD Bless and GODSpeed🙏.
Sad to say, Josie, I don't forsee the Switch II being backwards compatible upon first launch. The reason is it will conflict with consumer decision in buying the Switch II, over keeping or buying the original Switch at a lower cost, especially if the development and release of new games being released is slow verses the already huge original Switch library. If Nintendo want to satisfy consumers, then they could offer first party original Switch games free via a digital game pass with the first launch of the Switch II, this would be also a good counter measure to stop resellers selling opened Switch II consoles at above RRP price value, since the game pass would be a huge selling point in a bundle package. I also hope that Nintendo offers more ram, better GPU specs, including fast and wireless charging, it would be groundbreaking in terms of next gen hand held consoles.
@@audie-cashstack-uk4881 yeah sure, it will be better. But no LCD can match OLED contrast, response times and overall quality of the image and trust me, I’ve had high end miniLED monitors…nope. It’s a different world.
All they really did was acknowledge what was pretty obvious to all of us, but they--in typical Nintendo fashion--have been to secretive and stubborn to finally admit the fact that they working on it. The worst thing is, they didn't even announce it--they didn't need to announce something we all already know. Literally all they did was announce a future anouncement. What announcement? Who knows, they only gave us a timeframe spanning yet another whole freakin' year! This is so Nintendo in every single way. They are still pretty much exactly the same they always, going back to the 1990s as I remember and probably even earlier.

I hope there's not a camera (front). I want no bezel. Just a more powerful, refined Switch with backward compatibility and no gimmicks that just get in the way aesthetically and go largely unused. Also I hope it's not those ugly fat red and blue joycon with the removable middles used in all the rumor videos. I hope that's not the use for the magnets. I'm super curious and worried what they're gonna do with the joycon. They need upgraded, but I hope they don't go crazy. And the name is probably going to be Switch 2. It'll obviously be "Switch" something. They're not going to rebrand Switch Online.
following the rumor, it will par with ps4 between ps4 pro. but then it will have dlss, so i safely assume it will be able to bring many 3rd-party titles from ps5.
I would call it either Nintendo Super Switch or Super Nintendo Switch. In 2006, when Nintendo revealed their new system name at that time Nintendo Wii, I thought it was a weird name, but over the few months after the Wii's release, it grew and got over with the fans of Nintendo and they loved it. However, when the successor of Wii named Wii U was revealed as a name, I didn't like it, and I thought the system name was too gimmicky. While Wii U was a good system, it was one of the worst selling gaming systems. The majority of Wii U games like Mario Kart 8, Super Mario 3D World, New Super Mario Bros U all received a new life, and they sold better on Switch. So yeah, I think they should name it Super Switch or Super Nintendo Switch. From what I'm hearing, their new system will have backwards compatibility with physical & digital Switch games and maybe (it's just my predictions) some Switch games would receive performance boosts like how PS5 & Xbox Series X did with PS4 & Xbox One respectively (example, Breath of the Wild could receive some improvements on graphics and 60fps).
I just want a better hardware, imagine a series s level of hardware.. I want Nintendo to step it up already . They limit themselves to much. Everyone want a better way to connect and play with friends and a better internet experience.
The joy con and the switch itself were built like shit. Nintendo needs to make them both bulkier and just better overall so we have no drift and so they aren’t just generally breakable and fucking awful anymore
I have a radical idea… No new gimmick at all. Just make huge improvements to the Joycon and make the console significantly more powerful. That’s literally ALL they have to do to make people happy and keep selling consoles. Increase storage and put in a better screen too. Charge $400 bucks. People will pay it if it’s a significantly more powerful system. There doesn’t need to be a gimmick. No dual screens, no crazy new way of controlling games. Just give us more games as good and better than the Switch had with better graphics. That’s IT. I’ll be happy forever. ALSO, please, for the love of god, keep updated small and quick and infrequent. I don’t want it to be like the PS5. Good lord updates are annoying on that thing

As much as I had fun with the switch, it has to come to en end, like the NES, Gameboy, and DS they had their moment in the sun.
Which non-Nintendo consoles do you have and what do you think of them in comparison to switch?
I hope they call it the Switch U.
Hot take. Per your dual screen gimmick prediction. What iffffff they included a 3ds/ds cart slot on the console 👀
They won’t. BUT WHAT IF THO.
Josie the dual screen is a no go! The latency for gaming wouldn’t be ideal for streaming ala casting from your phone. Idk tho the Wii U had something similar to the gamepad but it was proprietary tech 🤷🏻♂️
That Woah merch 😎👌
Switch 2 bigger & better
1080p handheld - 4k docked
Ditch the joy-cons
As long as we don't go back to mediocre LCD, I'm good. The jump from V1 to OLED is so massive my Switch saw a jump from 2h to like 15h/week.
If its lcd it won't be a 2017 lcd it will be a led hdr screen
@@audie-cashstack-uk4881 yeah sure, it will be better. But no LCD can match OLED contrast, response times and overall quality of the image and trust me, I’ve had high end miniLED monitors…nope. It’s a different world.
On the point of the Super name...Super Nintendo Entertainment System, Super Nintendo World, Super Nintendo Switch.
I think they should call it the Super Nintendo Switch and market it as the Super Nintendo. No one will mistake it for the SNES some 30 years later.
Also agre - they need to figure out a way to adopt dual-screen gaming. If not now, soon. I would really appreciate Mario + Luigi remakes or NSO ports
Hopefully it will be like a PS4 and 60fps games
Lol do tou have any idea how out of touch you are it's so far above a ps4 you ate not grasping tjos are you it's gpu is far superior tec than ps5 let alone ps4 it has dedicated ray trace cores ai cores its basically ps5 games in your hand and on your TV get this fact drilled into your brain..
The ps4 sucks, i hope its more in the line of the Xbox Series S.
SNES you could play gameboy, with the "Super Gameboy". Gamecube could play GBA games.
Those OLED users are gonna hate going back to a translucent display
I like the shirt you should most definitely drop some merch and you should do a shirt that’s has vibes on it…
I hope there's not a camera (front).
If its powerful enough to just make all of the games a STABLE 30 FPS... its enough, I'll be happy.
I predict the succesor the switch will have mario kart 8 deluxe on launch. Mk8 will never die
Just get rid of stick drift and add some ram and power. I mostly play computer games on my switch anyway.
I hope its way more powerfull and its in par with the ps5
following the rumor, it will par with ps4 between ps4 pro. but then it will have dlss, so i safely assume it will be able to bring many 3rd-party titles from ps5.
That’s impossible for a handheld console
PS more side tangents please 😂.
Saying the steam deck isn’t as good feels like sacrilege
I’ve always liked Super Nintendo switch. It’s the best name
I agree on just calling it the Super Switch, it makes sense keeping it simple. 2025 AHH SO EXCITED!! Finally CONFIRMATION!! Lets go! :D
The joy con and the switch itself were built like shit. Nintendo needs to make them both bulkier and just better overall so we have no drift and so they aren’t just generally breakable and fucking awful anymore
game & talk 4 life. can't wait for Merch
I hope it’s called the Super Nintendo Switch!
I like Super Nintendo Switch I just hope it’s not the Switch U lol 😂
I clicked on this video and I was like "WOAH"!!! pun intended 😛!
No way. We haven't waited nearly eight years (next year) for what should've been a switch pro. Every Nintendo console has had a gimmick.
New subscriber, I don't mean any offense but you're very pretty, but I think the switch 2 will be revealed in September
They're calling it the switch v lol
Way better than Spawnwave and RGT - LOL
2025?
If it’s not at least up to ps4 standards that’s embarrassing
Nintendo Switch-U
I thought of “Nintendo Switch Next” today and I really dig it
I dont care its still wander than the ps5 and series x Nintendo will never compete ithis is sad
Nintendo switch Attach
You got some good ideas and I'm impressed! Now let's hope that Big N won't disappoint us all.
Yayayayayayayay...
Woah
Nerds
Nintendo Swiche DS
Love the f word. 😊
The steam deck is better😂😂😂 you can like the switch but the steam deck is literally better in every aspect
Dude what's are you talking about.. I don't know anyone with a 4k TV.. just lies .. just stop it
Cool video, smart ideas. Eliminate the swearing and broaden your viewership...
I used to bleep it but I think it adds and doesn't matter, if I can't be myself in my content there's no point at least for me
@@Josie_Woah Don't bleep it, continue being yourself; that's what makes the video interesting. However, if you expand your vocabulary, you will find other colourful ways to express yourself without swearing and without altering your message. I think more doors will open for you. Take the challenge! You have potential, and good luck on your journey to greatness!!!
1. Make it powerful enough to run 3rd party games at 4k60.
2. Make a TV only model for televisions and PC gaming monitor.
3. If 2 is a no go, release games on PC so people don't have to buy a console and folks willing to invest in PCs can enjoy Nintendo games.
They have done the whole console api nvidea dlss ai cores rt cores Ray re construction it's everything we wanted likely fps booster to
Calling the Switches “baddie” and “homie” was exactly what I needed to hear 😌👂🤌
