Happy flying!
I was sitting through this with my mouth wide open and watering. ;-)
What a great scale warbird.
I've made a few more videos with this model as it's perfect for a few things that I've been asked to show. You can preview one here - ruclips.net/video/eHGfvPxlNUc/видео.html Happy flyin!
Just ordered one this morning, can't wait to be honest. The Durafly Spitfire flies really well so I'm really happy
Nice unboxing video! Thanks for posting! I can hardly wait to see it airborne!
Just unboxed mine and it does not disappoint! If there are compromises to enhance flyability, then they are pretty discreet and this bird should satisfy the most persnickety rivet-counters with its outline and even the basic paint scheme. It even has RLM-Grau in the wheel wells and cockpit!
Nice crisp panel lines and a pretty decent set of decals too.
Great job Durafly/Hobbyking ! Now I’m watching the shekels for the Avios Spitfire. I don’t care if neither get flown , but they will eventually. Just fantastic to behold.👍🏻👍🏻😁
What a beautiful aircraft. I like the colorscheme with the bloodstains
Looks like they’ve excelled themselves with this one and the quality has ramped up massively.
I’m ordering one today! Excellent video and it’s assisted my decision . First plane I’ve bought for a couple of years and it will keep my Spitfire company.
Thanks! Subscribed.
As always, awesome video. You really do an excellent job on these vids. Great camera work, focus and lighting. Most importantly, great content. I'm not sure how you do it over and over again, but I aporeciate all your videos a great deal.
Great review looking forward to the test flight
Wow, this looks GREAT! Even better than the DF Spitfire! Available now and just ordered today. Thanks for posting.

Great video P. I just love this baby, so scale looking and this baby really flyies like a trainer once you got it in the air. I was flying it in december on froozen horse tracks. It was crazy... dont you just love HobbyKing for sending us free plane. Awesome... Thanks for posting this video and greetings from Slovenia, Pilot Robert
+Robert Petrinčič where did you have the centre of gravity on yours?
Wow, beautiful airplane!
Great show
Owyeah now i got one to.
Thnx for your tips.
Thank you for tips and setup =)
Looking forward to more videos on this one!

Woo-hoo! Thx.
Very nice model Painless, you'll be out flying it tomorrow then? Oh wait, 55 MPH winds forecast so maybe not.
Amazing kit. Had sound issues with this video, may be my internet.
Having just assembled a couple of points & gripes>
A.) Part of the manual has been written by a Chinese guy running his version of Italian through Google translate to get to the English! Weird & annoying things like when you are fixing the wings on it is crucial that you site the two sets of screws - one set of which is shorter than the other, in the right place. Their "instruction" in doing this is to put one set at the "T/E of the wing" & the other at the "L/D of the wing"? There is *NO* other context other than that!
B.) Contrary to the manual & this video which otherwise very helpful, you are best of putting the decals on *BEFORE* assembly! Just on doing that. You will find some stickers, in particular on the underwing, cover major raised parts of the structure including servos. I just stuck them down & then did my best to cut round to allow free movement but it is tricky. The manual goes on about *TWO* different types of decal - One set that are actual stickers & another that you peel off a release paper, stick down & remove the backing film. They are *BOTH* the later type! God knows what the former type instruction is about. I actually took them at their word & peeled of these decals, which constitute the major insignia, & had a huge patch of surrounding support film round them. Peeling this off caused another issue that you need to be aware of - The paint comes off *VERY* easily! The smaller detail stickers I think are going to last one flight! There is a recommendation to iron the decals in place but I would do that with EXTREME caution! - Hot irons & polystyrene……
C.) I would recommend doing all the wing assembly *BEFORE* placing on the plane which again goes against what is for some reason written in the manual.
Have to say though the plane looks stunning! Whether or not it still will in a couple of weeks I don't know. The real ones lost more pilots in training than in actual combat so they can be tricky to fly & *ESPECIALLY* land with the narrow gauge gear.
My only other gripe is that I did contact Durafly by the only option available (email) & requested a call back on an issue & 4 days later have had no reply.
Please FPV the drop bomb! 3:)
Looks a beauty, I bet it fly's like one too!
Almost too pretty to fly- ALMOST.... :v
Best of luck & thanks again!
Looks great, but HK definitely did not get this to you "a few days early" - it's about a year late! ;o)
This would have to be the most realistic scale Bf-109 in this size for electric flight.
you should do a review on the Horus x10 radio
Hey mate! You said you were gonna upload some videos of this plane flying. Hope you get the chance to do it soon. ONE QUESTION. What lippo did you put on it?
Hi ive been playing around with the C+G and got it to balance at 63mm but the instructions state 60 - 65mm. Have you managed to fly it yet and what C+G did you use.
Great video & nice plane! I'm still waiting for the ghost, I mean, Grand Tundra! Where the hell is it?
I’m hoping it’s soon, I love the Tundra and I’ve been looking forward to the bigger version since it was hinted! I’ll have one as soon as I can get my hands on one.. stay tuned!
waiting n waiting n waiting.
Great video! Quick question, is the antenna attachment on the vertical stabilizer a glued on piece, or is it an actual reinforcement rod that would protect the tail in a nose over?
+Dan D glued. Be careful when puppy in the plane upside down because I'm til you've got everything installed that is the point at the rear that the vertical stabilizer will touch the table and take the weight..
Thanks for that. I plan on removing it and inserting some carbon rod in the vertical stab and rudder, and then gluing it back on. I do this to all my planes, as I have a grass field, and a nose over is an inevitably. This keeps the rudder from getting bent and wrinkled...
Add a loc8tor to the bomb:)
Hi Lee! I’m trying to decide on either this model or the new colour release Trojan. What would be a easier to fly model? Also would this be easy to put Fpv in or better off with the Trojan? Thanks!
If you're new then I'd get a Bixler. These are beautiful planes and both fly well (the T-28 is a little easier IMHO) but if it's 'in cockpit' FPV then it's the T-28 every time. See my video on it for a sample FPV view..
Hey your the best when it comes to this stuff most of all I know is becuz of you man... thanx so much for the videos but I need you to make a throttle curve setup vid for the taranis qx7 for multirotors.... and without open tx just on the radio itself..... please painless 360. Hhhhhhheeeeerllllllpppp
I don't understand? You're asking how you create a throttle curve mechanically?
ruclips.net/video/jfqw4sLYaRE/видео.html may help?
Hey P. Sorry for making another comment but for a few days now for some strange reason I just cant make comments on comments. About CG, I had it 57mm from the leading edge of the wing and I was flying with low rates wich were good enough for maiden flight. 10mm travels all arround with 30% expo all arround and it was perfect. And 2200mAh baterrie all the way forward. Did you made the maiden flight? If you didnt you will love it. Oh yeah...Cheers, Robert
Robert Petrinčič great detail, thanks for replying you give me that. Just waiting for this damn wind to calm down, and then this thing is going to be flying!
Thanks for sharing. But just a question, based on its role (escort/intercept), did the 109 carry bombs, or ejectable fuel tank?
Check out the wiki. There were a huge number of models with various improvements. Whilst the 109 was conceived as an interceptor, later models were developed to fulfill multiple tasks, serving as bomber escort, fighter-bomber, day-, night-, all-weather fighter, ground-attack aircraft, and as reconnaissance aircraft. Happy flying!
There was a bomb rack added to some 109s in the Battle of Britain and used for what was called tip and run raids.😉
I heard that decals are difficult to work with, is that correct? Are there no paper instructions when assembling?
Not with a little practice. This video covers it - ruclips.net/video/eHGfvPxlNUc/видео.html
What type model radio are you using and any recommendations for a $100 or under radio that is decent? This is my first plane so...
If you are looking for kit picks them this video has the latest - ruclips.net/video/wY0ZrHTZJ-I/видео.html
Gteat tutorial. Any problems importing from Hobbyking? Also, how much should I pay for an r/c unit? I didn't want anything too technical.
Sadly HK closed their UK warehouse so when I order something I could get caught with import duties now. Not sure what you mean by the second part of the question, can you elaborate?
@@Painless360 Hi I meant what transmitter/receivers work well at an affordable price with these DuraFly warbirds. Thanks.
The only problem I see in this model is that it doesn't have a fpv camera or any place to put one. :/
How about the tail section? Or kick out GI Joe from the cockpit and throw in a gimbal?
iMeMySelf I mean without cutting it's foam. Otherwise you can put anywhere you like.
See the T-28 review. FPV ready!
Hello...why this rc controller got 2 antennas?
+Tamim Mahairy the second antenna is for controlling a different type of receivers. See my videos on adding a second module into the radio in the Taranis series. Happy flying!
I just bought one of these and my motor doesn't spin
Green alien does it come with the controller?
