Just be patient, in about18 years when Cameron is done with the Avatar sequels, we "might" get True Lies on blu ray. 4K??? We better not push our luck.

@@johnwanner1446We may even get True Lies 2 as Arnie does seem to be going back to his hits for sequels apparently Twins 2 is supposed to be coming out next year i think! Not sure how they can do a sequel to True Lies tho maybe have a different family with this time the wife being the secret agent and the husband not knowing maybe have a black couple this time say Zoe Saldana and Daniel Kaluuya both have done kind of action roles and both younger and black so ticks a lot of boxes and they have a teenage boy and of course has to be slightly different to the original but the boy gets kidnapped like Arnie and Jamie Lee's daughter did in the film and they have to be involved in another mission that Arnie and Jamie Lee are on so eventually team up and all go to save the boy! Could work you know 🤔👍🏻

Bill Paxton is hilarious in True Lies. Right before Arnold face fists him in the short fantasy sequence, his line is "breasts as smooth as a new born baby's ass" or something similar to that. Whatever it is, it's raucous. He plays that squeezy guy so well for the entire performance.

The Lieutenant Dan band played at my base, a mile from my barracks, when I was in basic training. We were obviously not allowed to attend, and lights out was around the time that the band started, but I heard a little bit of "it ain't me" as I fell asleep.

I thought the side story in the middle is what set True Lies apart from other action extravaganzas of the era. Bill Paxton is perfect as the sleazy wannabe spy, and the setup that converges the affair story with the main conflict is pretty brilliant.

Forrest Gump was so hyped at the time that i barely even wanted to see it, when i did see it i thought it was an Ok decent film. somehow through the decades though i kept finding myself going back to it and it has become one of my absolute personal favorite films, and never fails to make me feel the emotions i want to feel in a movie, which increasingly in newer films is something i never get. the scenes Roger mentions where Gump is added into real historical footage were the big selling points at the time and where a lot of the publicity was aimed, but to me are actually the weakest parts of the film and often just pointless scenes and a gimmick. the scene where he is on the Dick Cavett show with John Lennon actually makes me cringe and feel embarrassment. what has become clear to me over time is this film is not about Forrest it is about Dan and Jenny, they both have their own demons they are trying to deal with and they are lost which is why they come and go throughout the picture. but whenever they are at their lowest and about ready to give up Forrest is there, and he is safe and he is reliable and he never judges or tries to fix them he is just there. and somehow just his presence helps them both to finally find their feet and make their way out of their darkness, and in turn they both provide him with what he needs to have a happy care free life. it is a beautiful and touching story about friendship and just being there.

I didn't find a single wasted scene in True Lies. Yeah, that's right, even the stuff with the wife having an affair meant something to the overall story. So, to hear these guys refer to that as cruel, I just don't get it. It was about the natural consequence of Harry's lifestyle meeting up with domestic life and how it was falling apart. She wanted something more and as it turned out it was exactly what they already had, and it meant no longer hiding who he was from her. I really thought all of that middle act stuff was great character building. Nah, True Lies is a great flick.

Angels in the Outfield really is juvenile (which describes most of Disney's offerings) and not to mention the shitty effects. I mean good god! No wonder I pushed Disney away in my later years because they kept making stupid crap like their live-action movies with outdated effects! Call me cynical but IDC because I can't stand sitting through any more of those kind of movies.
