I've been doing braids to achieve my afro for almost a year now. It's my favorite way to stretch my hair, instead of using the blow dryer I pull them around my head and pin them down. I wait until they dry, take it down, comb it out, and pick until its a round afro shape.
I live in The Bahamas where the humidity does the ABSOLUTE MOST on a daily...so I am lucky if I get 3 days out of my hair without it puffing out. Your hair is gorg though
Wow you have progressed nicely. I remember when you had the big chop and use to advertise those natural hair wigs. That color is life!🔥🔥. Excellent job!!
I like Baird outs to outs it makes your Hair looks much longer... Curl outs make your hair looks shorter. I like your videos I want to see more videos of the products that you use for your Hair..
Have you tried to stretch it without using the blow dryer? Pretty much doing what you do for your night routine, but smaller sections. Add minimal moisture band the same area that blow dry. Go get dress and do your makeup then take out the bands fluff and rollout
Hi Ms Jess. Have you ever tried Aunt Jackie's Curl la la or Coily Custard? If so, please let me know what your results were. I tried it a few days ago and using these products left my ends dry like straw almost. I'm trying to re-hydrate my ends now and hopefully. I'm wearing the style where you fat twisted both sides to the back and the top middle is in 3-4 banded ponytails linked together with the rubber bands hidden by clip-on beads, all pulled back into a pouf. I put a bunch of braids on the pouf for a braid-out for definition 'cause I've got major frizz. Not only was my pouf frizzy as hell, it felt like straw. Thanks Aunt Jackie.
Have you ever tried stretching before braiding? I'm only asking because the braid you re-did was the most defined & I liked the wavy look it gave to your stretched roots 😊
Thank you for making that comment about not being afraid of a little heat. It wasn’t until I adopted a blow dryer into my regimen that I began retaining length. As long as you know your hair and the type/intensity of “stress” it can take, heat will not be a problem. Omg I thought I was going crazy!! My twists don’t stay stretched either 😭. I’m so hype I had to level a double comment lol, I really thought it was just my hair. 😂
I agree ladies. Heat is no problem for my hair and it actually flourishes. When I’ve tried to do wash and goes my hair tangles and knots so I always stretch with a blow dryer.
Hey Jess, love it, love it, love it. I wanna know how often do you wash your hair? When do you incorporate the bentonite clay, hot oil treatment, and etc. Thanks❤❤
hey love! i wash my hair with shampoo once a week. bentonite clay once a month, i dont really do hot oil treatments at the moment. i deep condition 1-2 times a week!
@@OnlyOneJess Thank you so much. That's a great routine. I wash every 2 weeks and I'm trying to incorporate everything in monthly, its challenging but needed. Thanks again❤❤
Pls kindly recommend a very good shampoo,or what is ur best shampoo? I used to like cream of nature argan line shampoo, it was soo moisturizing but after I dyed my hair ,it feels dries my hair out. I love ur videos
I may have missed it. But how long does your braid out last if you don't stretch your hair? Let it loosen on it's own. Your hair is beautiful. Love your red color!!

Jess, do you blow dry your heat after washing it or you start all your styles on damped hair?
how much does your hair shed? like when you wash it and also when you’re styling? ad how do you minimize it?
