1:20 On the note of this, i was experimenting with making “Tape Drives” of sorts with Hopper Minecarts. I made a reader and writer (essentially a loader and unloader), along with a manual switch track type thing (semi-automated it for storage, granted this was moreso related to a goofy chicken farm thing) for storage. I don’t know how useful it would be due to it’s slow transfer speed, that and some redstone magicians have made far more dense builds, but I’m just throwing this out there in case anyone finds it useful, I haven’t documented it anywhere online yet I don’t think, and this reminded me of it.

I'd like to know for example whether the RLE was done on a frame per frame basis or over multiple frames and how it would translate to videos in RGB with a more uneven color palette.
Imagine encoding bad apple as a sequence only of changing pixels instead of the entire frame, so you can achieve even better read and data transfer speed with the new copper bulbs
is this ROM survival friendly? it sounds like it uses shulker boxes inside shulker boxes? can you make a video about it, i tried to make a project at some point that stored data using music discs inside shulkers inside chests, but i had some many chests the game crashed so i had to abandon that project :( maybe using this system i can revive it?
Hey! Can you make a video explaining how to check if A is greater than B using redstone? Kinda like the video you make about checking equality with redstone
I made mine with command blocks so I was able to have a command block put a pumpkin on my player's head when a frame was done rendering, and then I textured the pumpkin blur to be a red dot in the corner. Then I had a script looking for that pixel and then hitting F2 to take a screenshot So in short I didn't have to worry about sync issues luckily
I think there is a much dumbber approach, that would take 10.000x more space, but would be speed consistent. Imagine each frame stored as a copper bulb, then you chain them with repeaters and stack them in fornt of one another. Repeat for a couple hundred chunks, and thete you go, lol.
And it already has more views than my redstone only bad apple. This is really good tho, very compact, however it still not real time. I've added it to the list of redstone bad apple 'competition'

In order to avoid having to manually sync the video, why not cap it at 5 or 10 tps? It'll take longer to render, but I'd think that it would be made up for by the fact that the rendering is fully afk
