I like the older style XRs only exhaust, it hangs a bit higher than this cone type.
Yeah, I got the same "cone polishing" excuse after 4 weeks waiting for mine. Ended up at 6 weeks before it was shipped. Yours went on much easier than mine did. I had to expand the connector a bit to fit the new exhaust gasket before installation.
How do you like the sound? It’s got a good deep thump to it.

Nice, lower rumble. All ready to ride, but held captive by the weather. It inevitably leads to "While I'm in here...." And yeah, work has me at 110%. Like you said, parts and upgrades are paid for that way.... Day off tomorrow just to get some more remodeling done that has been on standby.
Haha yep it’s just been work and weather lately. But the sun will shine again soon……hopefully 😂 washing machine is still broke btw waiting on parts 😅

Got friends doing the pig the woods. I was going to do it on my XR this year for the first time but have other travel plans with the family. Hope you get some footage if you make it. I will for sure be there next year. Good Luck!

Thanks for doing the video. I still have the stock exhaust and have been looking at the XR’s only pipe. I’d like an fmf q4 but can’t find one anywhere. I can’t tell if you have done the battery relocate under the seat but it’s been the best thing I’ve done to mine. Noticeable difference in weight on the backend and can tell a big difference in handling.
I haven’t done the battery relocation yet but I plan on doing it soon. I’ve heard a lot of positive feedback on it. I was looking for fmf as well but couldn’t find anything either. But it worked out because I’m very happy with this muffler.
Where did you get your windscreen? That looks great.
I watched another video they put a new pipe (engine to Muffler piece) on it, the dyno" results was a 10% torque LOSS low-mid range which is where we ride 99% of the time. They said it was a $300 waste of time Plus it has NO leg guard you need to add it on..
Yeah that’s the header pipe, I saw that to. I can def tell a difference with the muffler. Runs waaay better, but I’ll be keeping the stock header!

Nice video/bike!, been looking and comparing muffler options for my 2017 650L. That is a beautiful sound but it doesnt look like the fitment is anywhere close?
It’s not bad, could be a little better but nothing worth doing much about. It’s been doing great and has made a huge difference!

No it’s had Dave’s mod done. I can’t remember the jetting at the moment it’s been a couple years.

Thanks for the link 👌 let ask you thing about your skid plate , I have the same one and it is so loud buzzing metal to metal that i am about to take it off after just a month or so . Any problems on yours? I got to come up with some rubber bushings between the frame and the skid
No I’ve never had that problem. A thin rubber washer might help, or you could have something stuck between the plate and the motor maybe.
@@TermiteOffroad no it does it from the day one when I put it on . Will figure out something for sure. Can you tell me what it is when ordering that exhaust it is offering me some jetting or something like that? For like extra 18$ do I want it ? What it is?
That snipped front mudguard looks ugly.
A very weak replacement that does not take into account the construction of the motorcycle.....
They've done dyno test on the XR's only pipe versus stock pipe you lose five horsepower except for the very top end which nobody goes to you have to be at 7500 RPMs and no one pushes 7500 RPMs on this bike.
It looks good and it's got a good sound.
I’ve seen the dyno with the header losing hp but not the slip on. Bike runs way better than it did before as far a torque goes.
That was only when the head pipe was added. The slip on was fine.
