This is one of the most emotionnal scene of SoA.
Gemma's confession was hard and all reactions were so real. Jax kissing his mother hand and putting his hands on Clay's shoulders.... Wow...
Anyway, I really look forward to the next episode!!
This is where they took SOA to another level..what a show.
wasn't there internal conflict at this time?
yeah between jax and clay
thank you @@ZERO-gd1gp
Don't mess with a old man lady
@@spongbog100 well said.... here still may 2022!!

the fact that no one won an Emmy acting on this show is a fucking disgrace. The look in Pearlmans eyes and face during this scene is one of many fine performance by this cast.
Katey Segal won a Golden Globe in 2011 for her role as Gemma Teller.
Keldon Branum yes you can actually see hurt in his eyes like real hurt that man don't say a damn thing this whole seen but you can feel like his wife really just told em that foreal!..him and jax taking opposite reactions you see fury in jax anger and revenge but you see the soul yanked out of clay he looks like he wants to cry for her....the two of them both need awards
719 YunGn This entire show was full of great acting. If I was in Jax's position I'm sure I'd be heartbroken, but I would definitely be pissed off.
Keldon Branum AMEN! Its actually unbelievable that no one won an god damn emmy. Best show ever
Keldon Branum season two especially .
When Jax put his hand on Clays shoulder and Clay grabbed it...damn, that was a heartbreaking moment
mzkrevin think it was the moment the two realized that they couldn’t keep fighting each other, and that Jax couldn’t go nomad cause he knew he had to be there for Gemma, the club and clay and clay felt the same way
This scene made me ball my fucking eyes out
Heartbreaking so it was x
That's when Jax showed I'm with you Clay no matter what now!
It stopped being about President vs VP, it became a son being there for his step-dad with a common goal.
Jax immediate reaction was to go looking for blood, then looked up and realized he needed to comfort his mother first. Acting 101.
Lol
Pretty sure that would be the reaction of any son or husband.
@@teshahartke5468 yeh but he isnt her son lmao
@@fishyjja Gemma is Jax's mother.
@@teshahartke5468 yeh but hes acting as her son, thats the point
The pain in clays face knowing they hurt his wife And how he looked down in sadness and the rage in jax’s face amazing detail how he held his moms hand and grabbed clays shoulder they were reunited
I love how the one tragedy that was supposed to drive them apart was actually what reunited them more stronger than ever.
TJ Jordan which lead to worse consequences down the line. If Jax left then Gemma, Clay and Tara would still be Alive
they couldnt leave in the second season if they left the neo-nazis would have ran charming by sheer fear
@Fjorgyn clay yeah he done did wrong but not as much as gemma i believe Gemma minipulated clay into killing john when clay killed piny i think he was drivin insane from this life he has lived for so long the same thing happened to Jax
Yeah until jax found out clay killed JT
i dont care what anyone says, seasons 1-3 when everybody is family are the best season...clay at the helm with jax by his side..
Absolutely agree, 4-7 was just chaos.
Sabrina Hutt no shit
Did yall even eatch the entire episode? Tara helped gemma to tell clay and jax what happened. That smiles of tara was readsuring her she did the right thing. This was gemma coming to her husband and son and telling them what actually happened with taras support. Yall tryin to twist this even deeper. Lol
I feel same way!!! Really stinks and never understood the change after season 4 hated how Jax couldn’t see what his mother truly was
Agreed
Here I am years later - STILL amazed at how amazing the actors were on this show. It could NOT have been any better. I miss The Sons.....
This is The only time I ever felt sorry for Gemma
Sabrina Hutt he deserved it.
WHAT YOU GUYS DON"T LIKE HER...
😂😂😂😂
For the most part she was quite diabolical.
YEP ME TOO
look at ron perlmans face, the man looks like someone ripped his heat out, A+ acting
Ikr, he really cared for her.
Looks like he can't even think
A great underrated actor.
@@bobbyricigliano2799 ,clay was by far the best character on the show
Right on
@@GV213 clay was scandalous to me hes the worst let's not forget he killed john teller
I can't believe no one won an Emmy award for this scene (or for the music or editing).
Ron Perlman won a year's supply of Planters Peanuts.
I can
@Richard Cox And Katey Sagal won a Golden Globe.
It's so sad to see Clay and Jax hear about this and so nice to see these two finally got on the same page.Awesome scene.
Jax ended up killing both Clay and Gemma
@@Lisa-ru9zq we know that. They deserve death... SOA, ❤️
Jax ended up killing himself in the end too
@@Lisa-ru9zq thank you for spoilers Lisa but that's what should have been done anyways
Still can’t believe she was Peg Bundy, what an amazing actress.
Me neither. She was also Lela from Futurama. Katey Sagal is awesome
And shes Sexier as ever in this ...😝
She was also married to Kurt Sutter, who created the show and played Otto, the blind SAMCRO jailbird.
@Irenee Shubert They’re still married.
Back in the mid-seventies she was a singer and also Gene Simmons girlfriend and he put her in his all girl group I believe they were called the Band Of No Name or something close to that and they had a album put out around 76 or 77 she also helped put together some of his early KISS costumes
So I just finish Season 2 and I was waiting the whole time for Genma to tell them lol. Katie Segal's performance in that scene was amazing.
One of the best series ever, front to back. This horrific moment was probably the closest those 4 characters ever came to bonding, before they all eventually killed each other.
The way they talking to each other you wouldn’t even guess that Gemma would end up stabbing Tara in the head multiple times with a fork and killing her
It's kinda Tara's fault. the moment Jax got out, she turned her back on the club and Gemma (which both helped her out while Jax was in jail) and tried to push Gemma out of the lives of the only family Gemma had left.
@Jota Exactly. If Unser had kept his mouth shut, everything would've been fine.
@Jota I 100% agree. Everything he did for her because he was in love with her (Or he just really wanted to fuck her.) and it got him nowhere.
Hell yeah! Best scene in the whole series! I never did like Tara. Lol
@@amberbamber9656 Just like Donna Winston after Opie got out. Jax and Opie both had women trying to help the family leave the club life and they both lost them to the club in the end.
I busted out in tears when this moment showed. I couldn't stop crying until after the scene had ended
Oooh my god . I cried at this part . I love this actress . I love her on married with children from back in day when it air on t.v.
Clays look said it all. In this Moment he wasnt SOA President, He was a Husband and a Father. He was lost, felt Guilt. Powerful Scene!
This scene is my favorite scene of all SOA. The look on Clays face when she says they raped her... you can just see his heart sink. Despite the monster his character became, he did love Gem. And don't even get me started on Jax' reaction. I also love the look Tara gives Gemma... like "good job mom. You're so brave!" The only other scene that I consider on par with this is season 3 finale and Stahls death. That whole
Ending sequence was just amazing! Sometimes I wish I could have this show wiped from my memory just so I
Could experience it all over again. God damn brilliant!!
Mine too I cried like a baby I love this show more than any show I've ever watched
Tig and Venus towards the end was another great scene. I don't think there's another person in Hollywood that understands the human condition quite like Sutter.
Right me too I wish I can wipe it out my memory too and start all over again watching it from the beginning great great show I wish it never ended
Jax putting his hand on clay...........powerful! Best scene ever
i cried seeing this. just the emotions coming from jax omg
Gemadevoltapracasaatraisdeelbu
one of the rare times when you see so much emotion coming from two characters with no words required.
When I first saw this, I really cried. This scene in season 2 was the most heart touching
Daniel Hulse what episode
Right there with u cried both times I seen this ep powerful acting from them
The opie death scene really got to me
Me too
when Jax slammed the table I was like give him a emmy
Slapping a table is Emmy award winning acting to you?
+David L im saying his acting the way he holds his emotions for what Gemma said is emmy awarding not simply slamming his hand into the table
look at Ron Perlman when he does that...guy doesnt even flinch. Thats getting lost in a role and a moment
Sir, I will give you 29 American dollars for that Emmy!
I hit my head on my table for fun... do I get 2 emmys for that? xD
Watching the Sons take on Weston right after this is so satisfying!
This acting is the reason why this show will always be at the top of my list. The looks on Jax and Clay's faces showed nothing but pain and pure rage. Like a piece of them had been broken. This show never fails to amaze me✊even after watching it multiple times
This was such a powerful scene, but it accentuates what level Gemma will go to for her own agenda..keeping Jax at the table.
Oh thats why Tara smiled at her with hatred. Gemma used that to keep him in the club.
She didnt smile because of hatred. She smiled because it was the right thing to do. At this point there was no hate between them
Zodac It wasn’t out of hatred... Tara didn’t want Jax to go Nomad either. Gemma told Tara what happened and Tara wanted her to tell the Club immediately but Gemma didn’t.
Tara smiled at Gemma because it was right thing for Gemma to tell Clay and Jax, despite the impeccable timing of Gemma’s trump card.
I was crying just of jax reaction to this scene.. amazing acting from all involved
Loved Gemma especially in this. This scene really touched the heart. All the actors did such a great job in this scene.
To me... the best show ever made.
Perlman's acting in this scene is god-tier!
The acting in this scene should've gotten some kind of award. The acting was 100 percent on point. The way jax was angry and ready to kill but comforted her was on point.
This is the scene that made me like this show. Phenomenal acting from all involved here. Best moment of acting in the entire series. The looks on the faces of Clay and Jax were so powerful because they were so understated, no words were spoke and more emotions were conveyed that way then if they had actually had dialogue. Brilliant.
I cried when she told Jax and Clay the truth. Plus the music went well with it and I also cried due to that. Just this scene in general I cried~💔💔💔😢😢😢
Me too
one of the rare times when you see so much emotion from two characters and no words were required to convey said emotions.
We all cried
Does anyone know the name of the song and who sings it
@@schook69 Patty Griffin ‘Mary’
The absolute best scene of the entire 7 years.
It's up there but for me it's when juice & jax are in the prison interview room in season 7 where he learns about Gemma killing Tara
My favourite scene ever, heartbreaking stuff and amazing acting, deserves an award!
The way he grabbed her hands ... Amazing scene
The greatest show I've ever watched miss it greatly
Powerful episode ..... one of my favorites. Great acting by all.
It's been years and I still cant watch this scene without breaking down.
Jax's reaction is one of anger and Clays reaction is one of heartbreak.
Only time I ever felt anything for Gemma. Katy Segal is an amazing actress. It takes talent to go from Peg Bundy to someone I loathed with every fiber of my soul. Her performance was so real.
Ron Perlman is an amazing actor.
This is my all time fav episode..
Scenes like this in SOA are why I love this show. Such emotion and relatable feelings of wanting revenge for characters you start to feel like you know, simply can't find it in any other show.
One of the absolute best, yet heartbreaking turning points of the series.
Shakespeare's characters come to life.
Scene brought tears to my eyes and I don’t react like that to most shows this show is one of a kid with amazing acting
Awesome scene which makes what Gemma did to Tara all the more ironic/painful. She was there for her in her lowest moment and her jealousy, need for power and obsession with her son's love life was way more important. Tara didn't deserve the ending she received. I plan on rewatching SOA one day but I will skip the final season because it was a complete blood bath based on one lie.
Skip Season 6 too, it was just beyond depressing
@@cathleenwarner1778 I'd say stop at the end of season 3. For me it was the show's happy ending.
Love the way Jax,s turned back around to look at his mom
Song is "Mary" by Patty Griffin
One of the best scenes on the show
cried during this scene...bawled
"How you wanna handle it ?" "We kill them all"
if someone did that to my mother i would do the same as jax did
+Ethan Bradberry shut up shithead your name is Ethan.
I agree
When i saw this scene for the first time...it made me tear up. I watched it over and over that night
One of the best series of all time
the editing here is clitch! on point brother!
I love the looked on Jax,s face he was so mad he does love his mother a lot
It has Shakespeare's Othello in it. The Ghost comes in many forms like his father's letters or reaper logo or homeless girl.
Shakespeare was a genius imagine he appeals still to us in modern era.
The show pays tribute to him with showing his lines in the end.
I learned from my friend's ex that he'd assaulted her. And what Jax and clay showed are exactly the emotions you feel, you're sad for having to have gone through that and you're beyond angry with the guy who did, you just want to find him and rip his head off.
When Jax slammed his hand on the table I was like The Devil has arisen hell is walking the Earth Weston & his guys are done for get'em Jax get'em they're gonna get what's coming to them
Clay's face the whole time was complete devastation, amazing acting from Ron. Even Charlie's eyes went black you could see the hurt in them.
This moment is so emotional for me !!
Because of the aesthetic, and the network on which it aired, this show never had a chance to receive the recognition and accolades it deserved by the intelligentsia that controls the awards and the critics. If this show had aired on HBO or AMC with no changes, it would be hailed as one of the top 3 television shows in history. The writing for Sons is so layered, the storytelling just magical, if it had been on HBO it most likely would've been even better due to a larger budget and less restricted time-related deadlines. Great storytelling and great acting is about causing the audience to feel deep emotions for the characters. Its a rare thing to experience. No show has ever topped Sons of Anarchy on this standard. The acting and the writing are both criminally underrated.
This show was great really enjoyed the acting 👏
I had tears streaming down my face .I'm an 18 stone hairy biker....I love Gemma..
Me too but I love to hate her ...
I broke down while watching this scene.
It's so sad to see Tara always trying to help Gemma and be there for her because she got respect..
... And knowing that Gemma killed her because of stuff she misunderstood
I felt sorry for her in this episode, too. For once.
@@anthonycampos8057 damn you cant read or nun💀😂😂🤦🏽♂️
Gemma and Tara were like an old married couple.
this is my fave episode espically when jax kisses his mother's hands before he & tara leaves.
Only this gifted of actress can play 3 freaking mother roles and come across as 3 completely different people. Convincingly. That is range. I'd never see Peg Bundy do half the shit Gemma does, and I'd never see Hyde's mom from That 70s Show ever look or act like Gemma. It's impressive when someone finds the role they were born for because you forget they're acting. Katey Sagal did this 3 times. I'm rambling at this point, but her talent is worth at least one long, exaggerated, kiss ass comment on a RUclips video 💯
The only time Gemma looked to Tara for confirmation she did the right thing. Jax was so loving in this, he is a good man. I miss this show💖💖💖💖
I don’t care what anyone’s says Gemma was such a great character even when I hated her choices I STILL loved her !!!!!
Because of her alot of people died and lives ruined forever.
I can't think of Gemma without thinking of Lola Montez, the historical character that Robert Greene has chosen to illustrate Law 10 from his book , the 48 laws . I mean Gemma is the literal embodiment of the law. Enyone who got to know her ended up being dragged and entangled in her chaos in one way or another . It so uncanny.
This scene is so powerful 1 take was not enough because they all cried apart from gemma it's was many takes to get this scene perfect and in the end they did. So powerful and the song choice was spot on by Mary Griffin
Jax loved his Mother but Gamma did a lot of stiff but she's still his mother
one of the best scenes in the show !
Gemma's Ace under her sleeve, pulled it out at the right time, she was saving it lol..if not for this jax would have gone nomad
Thats what happens when you get into beef/fight with another group..instead of targeting you..they target those close so they can hurt you and let you how serious things are between you two
I was not a fan of Gemma for how she did Tara but this scene make me forget that. I feel sorry for her and what she had to go though in this moment!
Great song to go with a touching moment.
You know I went back to watch the series over again and somehow that scene was all the more part heartbreaking cuz you know exactly how it's going to turn out how all of them are going to die
this going make me cry
The most unbelievable thing about this particular event is that they didn't immediately go out, grab Weston and make his death last days.
Ron Pearlman has a mug that I think any actor might at least be tempted to kill for.
Besides being so distinctive-- even under a ton of makeup, you know it's him-- it's also..."expressive?" The guy can do more with a look, or a shift in facial expression, than most capable actors would need a couple pages of dialogue and scenery-chewing to do.
It's a rare quality. One of the few other actors I think are on par in that regard is Wes Studi. Daniel Day Lewis is a hell of an actor, sure; but I think as Magua Wes not only had most of the best lines, he gave the best performance of the entire movie.
Melhor série de todos os tempos!/
best série for all times.
I love her always I was crying when she told Jax this and clay you could see Jax,s crying
What a tight knit and supportive family.
You could see Tara have tears in her eyes as well
This was such a powerful scene.
I remember it seemed for ever for Gemma to finally tell the club
the best part when clay ask jax what you want to do kill them all
After SOA, she did other projects and I did like her as the cop on "Superior Donuts".
most moving scene in the show for me. jax’s reaction would be my own. i love this scene.
I cried during this scene. this scene is so sad.
This song is perfect for this scene!!
One of the best scenes
Name of aong please 💔😭😭
One of the biggest FUCKING TELL THEM! Moments in a show for me
I've only recently started watching sons....
Saw this for the first time today.
Damn thus scene is powerful!
This almost had me cryin.
