      Hi khalifa thanks for watching...see when we istalled ironman liftkit it kindoff altered the camber of front tires and my fron tires started wearing off...then after lots of research i found this garage and they told me due to incresed height my axles are stressed and pulling my tires in..so we need to lower the front differential and the problem will be fixed...at the same time he also suggested some other brand of lift kit( which i do not remember now 😂) which does cause this issue..so in short after lowering the differential no issues..and i also changed my tyres of - ve offset...so what i wld suggest you is to contact mr majid (+971 50 409 0104) in omg and he will give you the right suggestion..I hope this helps...thanks for watching and plz subscribe for more..🙏🙏

    Do i understand everything correct?
    U put +40mm kit (ironman lift-kit), after that u did a 1.5 inches front subframe drop?
    And by the way - what tire size are you running now?

    Lowering the subframe seems like a big head ache relying on many fabricated pieces, which may not be as solid as a the original continuous piece.
    I've seen ironman on GV2 installed without lowering the subframe (usually the kit comes with camber bolts), what issues did you have to make this change?

    • @KaranJetliLive
      @KaranJetliLive  Год назад +1

      yes you are right my lift kit did not come with adjustable camber bolts so I had two options either change the bolts or lower the subframe I did both lowered the frame and also got the adjustable bolts installed. The garage which lowered the subframe was very professional and did a great job. the issue I faced was the altered camber due to the lift ..It stressed my axel and front wheel alignment was altered and my tyres started wearing off from the edges...but now all sems to be fine.. I hope this helps thanks for watching and plz subscribe for more such videos....

      @@KaranJetliLive I have the a 2012 GV with the 40mm ironman lift kit and camber bolts installed with no problem. The GV is independent suspension all round so by installing the ironman lift kit you will gain about 40mm of under body lift (if you got the 40mm kit). By lowering the sub frame by 1.5" you have just lowered the front under body back down by about 38mm meaning there was no real point in lifting the front. Adding bigger tires can help lift the car higher however with the GV it is mainly the clearance in the horizontal direction on the front that will cause you issues not the vertical.

    How much did it cost to do full lift and mods on the GV in AED?

    • @KaranJetliLive
      @KaranJetliLive  Год назад

      Hi bro I installed ironman lift kit in Oman and that caused some issues like it altered the camber and alignment to fix it I had to lower the differential...plus i also changed my alloys to negative offset and then added AT tyres.. the next part is offroad bumper, roof rack and skid plate...See i did some of the modifications in Oman and some in UAE and the and total it costed 5100 for lift kit + 1000 for differential lowering + 3800 for rims + 2200 for tyres aprrox. The garage which lowered the differential suggested that I shd have gone for some other brand of liftkit(i forget the name) and for that there was no need to lower the differential. If you want I can share the garage contact information and you can contact them and they will be happy to guide you. You can share your whtsapp no at karanjetli@gmail.com and I shall contact you..I hope this helps thanks for watching and plz subscribe for more such videos...

    Omg that is dumb! if you lift your car it is so you can get more clerance for the tires but most of all more clerance under the car! now you only get more clearance for the tires and not under the car, the right way to fix this problem is with adjustable camber kits that would bolt right on the cars suspension. my god try to drive offroad with that car and you will get stuck lol😂

      😀totally agree 😀 , ( and he didnt do anything on the rear which also has problems when raised ) the proper solution would be adjustable TCA but no one seems to make them , but then is there a problem with drive shaft lengths ? i might have to make my own .

      Let's start with mathematics, it looks like you are weak in that, vehicle lifted by 2.5 inches, sub frame dropped by 1.5 inches, so use a calculator and you'll understand the subframe of the vehicle still has a lift of 1 inch,
      Makes sense?? Or still dumb??
      I suggest starting offroading and learning regarding diff drops and clearance!!!!
