@@bingo99aa Remember youtuber JFred UK? He had a lot of test card music videos, complete tapes with all the tracks listed and named, right down to the composer and orchestra. Well, his channel was taken down by RUclips a few years ago. I managed to download a good number of those videos in time before they were all taken down. A shame, really.
I was almost in double digit ages, lying in bed late at night on the weekends watching these pages and listening to the music contemplating life and wondering what it all meant. Dinosaurs, drawing and my mega drive were my life. Sigh. Life certainly is a very strange experience
@Jack Davies Me too. Those really were better times for me in so many ways If I could do those years again, I would change so much about my current life
@MattyRam13 I know that, but I remember this being on TV late nights in the 90s when I was at school, and it was also still on the TV at nights when I was a student in the mid 2000s
The tapes used are Super Dreams, Mountainscape and part of Cavo Paradiso. Not that anyone really gives a toss, especially after 9 years of this video having been uploaded.
Philip Marshall It was a divided country back then. Oracle had different content on Channel 4 too. No nudity, but a bit more content for the kids and they also had Bamboozle. BBC must've been shitting their kex when that began.
I remember the first time I saw Pages from Ceefax. I switched on my Pye B&W portable in my bedroom one Saturday morning and it was there. But we already had real teletext downstairs, so I thought it was somehow being transmitted from the downstairs telly.
My goodness! I used to hook up my minidisc recorder to my Nicam stereo VCR when Pages From Ceefax came on during the early 90s and 00s. I still have the music, having converted those recordings to digital format.
Stevie Bauer It was on to fill the air when broadcasting stopped, usually between 11pm and 3am ( depending on the year). It was also on in the middle of the day on BBC2, as broadcasting ceased between about 2 and 5 in the afternoon.
@@octaviussludberry9016 I am not sure about night-times, but it was indeed shown for much of the 1980s in the daytime on BBC2, after Daytime on Two, mainly from September 1983 to October 1986 or so. It was also shown around the same time on BBC1 when there were no programmes, from May 1983 also to October 1986 when daytime telly started. BBC2 however, did continue with Ceefax after that at times, although it gradually reduced in time shown until about June 1989 or so.
It was later on as here sometimes shown on BBC2 only at night times between I think 1998 or so and 2012 when the BBC Learning Zone was on or not. I am rather vague on dates there though alas sadly then so too of course.
Or also around the Open University series that used to be shown at times on both BBC channels then also too. The OU ran from 1971 to 2006 as far as I know so then too of course.

I really wish this would have taken off in America way back then. Oh well, with the internet, it's easy to get easy listening, and news.
I used to fall asleep to this, believe it or not.
+newstarcadefan The Internet doesn't have a _Reveal_ button :)
Ooh, middling-to-rubbish muzak, my favourite!
I MISS THIS!!!!

I am not ragging on whoever disliked this video, but what exactly did they expect when clicking on this video? XD
Probably fans of the pages of ITV's Oracle. They had a bit of an East Coast/West Coast rivalry back in the 90's.
