Thanks Aaron the date and time trick helped get rid of system data hogging and brought it down from 130 GB to just 10 GB. Although late to check this video out… I am glad I did! Keep up the good work. Cheers from India
Thanks for these tips. My biggest issue I notice is Facebook, youtube, Firefox, and linkedin keep clogging up a lot of storage. I constantly offload and reload.
It’s crashed system files it’s a side effect of any computer with a storage device like a road you can only pave over the same thing in my experience mainly mobile devices have to be restored What’s being sold This is free info from a creator and possibly back funding from a sponsor
Aaron, thanks for the video! Also, can you make a video showing how to clear the system data on MacBook in Sonoma? My MacBook is using about 100GB in this category!
Yep. I deleted pics on my ipad over 6 months ago and ios still hasn’t reduced the pic storage. Also, the podcast app doesn’t return storage if you delete downloaded episodes unless you uninstall/reinstall it.
Thank you for these steps!! I don't use my phone that often except to keep in touch with family, so mine wasn't too bad. I was at just under 7GB, and did the first few steps which dropped me down to 1.07GB. iPhone 15 Pro Max 512GB.
Changing dates to 1 year ahead immediately released 7GB of storage from system data. This was the best trick to free up space. I guess it worked for me because my phone is older than 1 year and i didn't reset it so far ever.
Thank you for this video! A couple years ago my daughter's old iPhone 6S had system data that was bloated to over 30 gigs. Nothing I tried reduced it. Even if I factory reset the phone, the system data was still that big and I have no idea why. That phone is long gone, but I wonder if any of this would have helped. My iPhone 14 Pro has system data that is up to 16 gigs, so I followed the steps and it is now down to 11.39. Not as small as yours, but its an improvement.
Should I trade in to 15 Pro Max or wait for 16 Pro Max? And which pro model should I choose next time? Currently unhappy with my 14 Pro with 89% battery health after a year with buggy experience with stuttering.
@@zollotech And would you choose the Pro Max model coming from a regular pro if I need better battery life and my last max phone was the 12pm, but now it’s lighter because of the Titanium?
Best tips out there in my case the data tip and the icloud work great i had almost 13 gb in data system now i have 3GB the best tips PS:always unistall reinstall apps its a data saver
3:56 I found another way as opposed to deleting and installing the apps is to off load it. The advantage is I don’t have to login again. It’s faster I just tap the icon than searching again to reinstall the app.
Back restore set up as n’ew Fresh clean install make sure contacts notes and games are backed up and I recommend storing your photo library on an external hd managed on a Mac
Hey Aaron!….great tips….Overall I went from 10.68gb all the way down to 6.69gb of system data….the last tip lowered the system data from 8.6gb to 6.6gb so a 25% reduction!👍
Hello brother today i bought my 1st pro phone and that 15pro max 256gb natural titanium n i m so happy watching your video on my phone.. earlier i use to watch on ipad pro.
I am a businessman and receive or call many numbers so one feature I really like to have is record phone call function and have call log history far far back
Thank you so very much for your content I really appreciate it I really appreciate it I’ve learned something today I don’t know if I can remember how to do this but thank you Aaron ❤😊
What if you don’t use iCloud? The photos app is over 5 gigs and even if I delete all the photos, it’s still high. Some apps go up in size even if you just open them. I hope Mac doesn’t do this. I plan on getting one.
None of these worked on my brand new iPhone SE. I tried the entire list three times, with little effect. I currently have 37gb of system data out of 64gb. I have no photos or music on this phone.
I’m super frustrated as I’ve tried all these and more and system data takes up 30-50 gigs of storage. I think the only solution is to factory reset and restore from a back up.
All you need to do is go to setting - general - transfer or reset iphone.then reset 2 things.reset keyboard dictionary & reset location & privacy.restart your phone after doing that.walla.
i have an iphone 12 and not one of the steps helped unfortunately im now at 37 gb system data out of my phone 64gb my phone is also now unusable due to this problem and something with ios 18
Back restore set up as n’ew Fresh clean install make sure contacts notes and games are backed up and I recommend storing your photo library on an external hd managed on a Mac Check with apple support as well

The fact that apple doesn't give a proper option to clear all the app/system cache is CRIMINAL
How about you switch it off?😂😂
That's how apple thinks,a crazy company 😂😂

Thank you for always taking your time to explain everything so clearly.
the date and time thing really helped me ; and by far this video was the most helpful one I've seen
Bro, you are a life saver. I did the restart method and cleared around 40 GB 👌.

Thanks Aaron! Another Excellent Video!
Having to remove to reload feels so ridiculous
Apple need to figure this out.

Holy cow thanks so much! I did the force restart tip and it freed up 13G’s!!
This video is awesome, I was able to clear more than 15GBs from system storage thanks to you!

this actually helped reduce my system data by about 4gb. thanks!
The date and time one helped for me my system data was on 12GB when I changed the date it dropped down to 1.07GB
Got your notification aaron 2 minutes ago
3:40 you can actually just offload the app and redownload, it still clears the cache

Thanks a lot man!!! My system data was at 53 gigs, and that tip 8 cleared off nearly 48 gigs for me!!! now I'm down to 5 gigs...
it worked while changing months in iphone 14 pro max
my system data takes up like 59 GB it's so insane and annoying
Thanks for sharing these tips. Blessings on your day.

Apple should just fix the issue
it says i cant clear the history
THX ZOLLO,🤗💚💚💚
For me it goes down from 9 to 3GB thanks zollo❤
I did the „force“ restart and my system data dropped from 45 GB to 1.7 GB
Took me a couple hours to delete each attachment clearing up years of space.
Wow I thought the last step was not working until I turned airplane mode off again it changed from 45,6gb to 341,4mb thank you so much
Oh it did work?
It's just a temporary solution. "clear cache" for apps is what we need.
i have an iphone 12 and not one of the steps helped unfortunately im now at 37 gb system data out of my phone 64gb my phone is also now unusable due to this problem and something with ios 18
Great tips, but it shouldn’t be this way!
These basic tips are just a (very) temporal fix.
I just did a hard reboot on my iPhone 15 and my system data went from 6.56 GB to 5.07 GB..
My system data is 6.16 and that without doing anything
This is bizarre for cleaning cache in 2024 apple always has something to piss users off
Why the hell my music app using 4.5 gb storage when i only have 1 gb downloaded songs?
Would a hard reboot work the same on iPad?
Yes
How you clear system data on iPad or Hard reboot?
The same steps here woudl apply for iPad as well.
My system data is using 1.07gb and my storage is 144/256gb just use google photos to save your picture and video
People should sue apple for this
From around 11gigs down to 3.96gigs
We need a way to clear ram without disabling Apple Pay
I have 220 GB😢
I have a lot of system data and after deleting and re-uploading WhatsApp, it has increased by 40GB...
My system data takes up 1.54 GB lol😅
Hi Aaron here for Zollotech❤❤❤
Changing date helps to get some storage back mine went from 17gb to 7 gb and after changing the date back to normal it again went to 17gb😂
The thing is I did all that and I went from 20gbs to 1.07gb
Thank you
Do one for MacOS please 😭😭😭
Back restore set up as n’ew
Fresh clean install make sure contacts notes and games are backed up and I recommend storing your photo library on an external hd managed on a Mac
Check with apple support as well
It’s crashed system files it’s a side effect of any computer with a storage device like a road you can only pave over the same thing in my experience mainly mobile devices have to be restored
If apple decided on a hand model it would most certainly be this guy 😂
Mine is a single gig 😂
my system data is only 2.5gb
The ads are garbage I have a 12 Pro Max with 512GB storage most of the time I delete photos once I'm done with them.
ads?
500th like! 🎉
My system data is 6.39
none of this worked
Sadly, none of these helped for me. I’m just gonna get myself another phone with better storage.
