- Mr. C K Kumaravel, CEO & Founder, Naturals talked more patriotically pitching through the story of his development as an entrepreneur briefly, and emphasised that every first generation entrepreneur should think of multifarious ways of achieving a goal irrespective of the challenges that the initiative poses initially. He whipped the brains of the audience with an earnest appeal that people in the middle class economy strata of the society should come beyond the confines of a perspective that hurdles them from venturing into newer attempts of elevating them economically in the society. Kumaravel affirmed that good people have all the eligibility to be rich, since they could help the society back when they have achieved for themselves.

His speech was good, I agree and there is no denial there. But when he said not to believe your parents is where I am not comfortable. When I am not supposed to believe my parent, why should I believe a person like him talking something on stage. You may say, he is sharing his experience, yes ofcourse he is sharing his experience, but our parents also have their share of experience.
It is important to note that in all such talk shows they bring someone who became successful in life and request them to say a few words. No one ever tries to bring a person who failed (perhaps there are good number of people out there, repenting not to have taken the words of his father or mother). There are undoubtedly people out there who lost everything because of not listening to parents. I am ok with his views on God but not with parents.
Very important.... Mr. Kumaravel too had lost money consecutively for three to four years when he started his business. He admitted the same in his speech. He had his parents property which he could hypothecate for expansion of his business (he had not company reserve for the same). Good number of middle class family cannot take losses for three years, on the back drop of such facts it is very prudent for the parent of such a budding entrepreneur to discourage such business. I don't think a parent is wrong there.
By not listening to parents if we have one Kumaravel, we have a minimum of 100 Kumaravel out there who were saved by listening to parents. Whether it is a banker, or a parent, or a venture capitalist or a friend or anyone for that matter when they say "Yes' or "No' their share their experience.... we cannot be selective to reject one and accept the other.... I would say use your common sense the most, study your project very well, put your money in your project I bet you need no ones advice, period.
