These guys are amazing performers, if any are still around, Thank You.
Founded by 4 students in Norfolk VA, in 1934, Orlandus Wilson, the bass-man, was still performing after 60 years. He died in 1998, but the group still exists with new members. One of its longtime tenors, Clyde Wright, is still performing and living in Paris, as far as I know, at about age 90, but no longer part of the Quartet.
The Quartet changes throughout the years- they are still a group.
