We like going to the beach at Marriott hotel. It is a public beach with local bars, restrooms and beach chairs to rent. You can get there by using the bus or a taxi from the port
Oranjestad is pronounced O RAN YIH STAD (That's the best I can do.) Aruba is a fabulous country. Clean and safe, with perfect climate and weather. Great beaches and SCUBA diving. And friendly people. Restaurants, bars, and lots of shops within 100m of cruise ship docks.
Great to see a new video from you flamingos! I hope your all recovering well. Love the video and love Aruba! Looking forward to getting back there sometime.
We were in Aruba in Late October. It was beautiful, so much fun, easy to shop and the food was awesome. So easy to get anywhere. Had a downpour so we didn’t get to ride the trolley which we really wanted to try. The casinos paid very well. I will be returning to ARUBA.
I always enjoy your videos! We just got back a couple weeks ago on Allure of the Seas, and we were in docked a different place. I didn’t even know there was a true terminal. May of been due to the size of Allure. They did have shuttles due to the walk we had. Also they had third party and Royal Caribbean excursion picking up right by the ship. We messed that up and had the make the long walk back almost missing our time.
Hello! We have an excursion booked for the morning but is there enough to see and do if we walk around from the port on our own in the afternoon? Thanks!
Yup you can. They do have their own currency of course (Aruban florin) but just about everywhere near the ports and in the tourist areas will accept USD and of course credit cards. Do be warned tho, if the price isn't in USD and they are willing to convert it, double check the conversion rate. As a Canadian I know many areas "accept USD" but our exchange rates are horrible so its easier to use a credit card. Hope that helps! Happy Travels!
Sadly passport stamps are disappearing, at least for North American travel. Generally for the Caribbean and North America (Alaska / Canada / etc...) you don't need passport stamps and there is no customs. You basically just walk off the ship. That said in other areas you definitely will. I know its an extreme example but in Russia we definitely did as well as China. Hope some of that helps!

How much is bus fare from the port? Thank you

Thank you for a well done, intelligent video. On our one day last visit to Aruba we rented a Jeep and circled the island. It was easy, fun and safe.
That sounds like an amazing excursion & thank you for the wonderful feedback. Happy Travels Gregory! 🦩

whats best if you just want as beach day? where would we take a cab to?
We speak 4 languages Papiamento Dutch, English, Spanish
Can you get to baby beach, and flamingo beach if you’re coming to Aruba on a cruise?

What can you do if you use a scooter?
If you book an excursion through the ship and the ship is late to the port, meaning you miss the excursion, do they refund you?
Yea no questions asked
In Aruba can you just use the American dollar? Sorry if this comes across as ignorant, it is our first time on a cruise and out of the country.

that ship you see is the Scientology space aline volcano ship
There’s no beaches within walking distance
It would be a hike to walk to the beach. There are lots of taxis and public transit to get to the beach. Have you been before?
@@TravelingFlamingoare the taxis easy to come by both at the terminal & at the beach? And do they take USD? Thank you in advance.
Que escandalo!
