we do these DVDs to documents the tours and put a lot of footage up on RUclips for free. if you think releasing this stuff makes a ton of money, then you don't really have a grasp on how this works. How do you think we pay for filming / editing / recording / mixing? or getting discs / sleeves made? these things are fun projects. nothing more. if people want to own and enjoy them, that's awesome. but each one usually sails closer to 'break even' than 'profit'.
Volume 1 was Milton Keynes Pitz CD only, now out of press + deleted Volume 2 was Nottingham Rock City CD only, as above Volume 3 was Live from Planet Earth CD/DVD boxset, available on our webstore Volume 4 was London NW5 and W6 12" + DVD. Vinyl is sold out, still got the DVDs on our webstore. And this will be volume 5, we don't piss about =)
The mindsweep is my favorite overall album, but holy fuck this is the best 1-2 punch to open a live show with. It's been a while since I watched this video and I reared up a little bit watching it again
scotland is known for its awesome crowds and intense intimate venues; the barra's being the best. have you ever heard of anything bad being said about the place? it just works, perfectly.
hmm. y'know, if its the London NW5 one, then you're right... its not on there. will look into that. if its not sold out now, it should be on there. apologies for the erroneous info. the Live From Planet Earth one is though.
I love the appeal and the mindsweep, and Solidarity was so fucking good the last two times I've seen it as an opener, but fuck me this will always be their best opener. So much emotion and adrenaline all mixed.
Out of all the concerts I have been to seen Shikari was the best every time. I can't explain how amazing it is. I remember this song and everything being so wild XD
I stumbled across Enter Shikari as a young angsty teen in 2007/8. Everyone remembers the cheerios shirt. That stuck with me for years. Didn't look into them again until 2012 and acquired this album, and listened to it but never fully appreciated it. Now its 2020. The world is ablaze with absolute garbage... segregation, poverty, corruption. And only now, it feels like the world is watching and listening... or at least starting to. Now, more than ever, it feels like we REALLY have to fight to survive. It is OUR future. But we're not being handed the reins because this is "the way it's always been". I really do find myself thinking "how are we going to get out of this alive?". And that is the saddest part, because I know I'm not the only one thinking this way. "Fuck all borders and fuck all boundaries, fuck all flags and fuck nationalities, you've gotta give us a chance before we reach a system meltdown", was sang with so much passion years ago and it's like the world can't take a hint. Cliche Moment - I want to begin to learn to smile again. Start to walk the extra mile again. Because I KNOW we are one. I just wish the rest of the world could see that. Growing up and really feeling the meaning behind this and seeing it come to even further fruition than when the song was written shows that we need to stand up and there there needs to be change before it does become too late. Thank you for listening to my Ted Talk.
I hope you guys swing by SLC or Denver sometime when I'm able to go.. I've wanted to see you guys since S,YNAW. I've played live and the energy and accuracy you guys have live is impressive. Can't. Fuggin. Wait.
No problem, would love to have the volume 4 but if its gone I'm to late :P and I already have Live from Planet Earth, and allthough I love it, I dont see the point in getting another copy :P NP for the error, mistakes happen and its awesome to get replies to questions like this on such a short notice anyways! You rule.
well, after some searching on your store, I can't find the DVD for london atm, is it gone from there or should I go shopping for other glasses while I'm busy
i think the main reason that your argument is invalid, is the fact that shikari are producing another album at the moment, as well as 3 songs beforehand (we've already seen 2 - paddington frisk and radiate)...
if you look my other commentaries on the same video, i see twice that i have a bad english ( french is my first language and i'm learning english right now) . ... and also that's doesn't make my arguments invalid.
You think DVD makes a band lives? I know a lot of bands who can live without DVD , and also without beer products( wtf seriously? ) The touring and concerts can make the job, obviously when Enter Shikari in this case play at festivals at the main stage... ... DVDS are just for artists who want to produce and make more money, when they're out of ideas.. In fact DVDS are for mainstream bands . (sorry for my bad english again* )
Might as well just stop touring and playing concerts because that makes money as well. In fact. Lets just give all of their songs and albums and stuff out for free... They can just live off of nothing and be homeless.

they need to get system/meltdown back in their setlist (as an opener)
Volume 1 was Milton Keynes Pitz CD only, now out of press + deleted

The mindsweep is my favorite overall album, but holy fuck this is the best 1-2 punch to open a live show with. It's been a while since I watched this video and I reared up a little bit watching it again
best venue in the world.
I guess you've seen all the venues in the world and have a basis of comparison...
scotland is known for its awesome crowds and intense intimate venues; the barra's being the best. have you ever heard of anything bad being said about the place? it just works, perfectly.

the transition from system to meltdown is insane.

i think the main reason that your argument is invalid, is the fact that shikari are producing another album at the moment, as well as 3 songs beforehand (we've already seen 2 - paddington frisk and radiate)...
well, you really dont! gotta get my shit together and order volume 4 then :P
if you look my other commentaries on the same video, i see twice that i have a bad english ( french is my first language and i'm learning english right now) . ... and also that's doesn't make my arguments invalid.
Making a dvd doesn't necessarily mean they are doing it for the money
what night was this? 10th or 11th December?
