Had never heard about this band until they opened for senses fail a few months ago. My daughter and I instantly liked them from the stage presence to the music itself. Have been a fan since and added to the spotify list. Each person that finds out about this band is a lucky individual.
He said this is the hardest song to sing live... You'd never know. He just kills it. Always. Lucas's voice is God tier.
He pulls out of a lot of the hardest notes to sing but that's not a knock on him, it's ridiculously tough to sing this song.
@@NicoAcrasia i will say i just saw them last night for the first time, and at least on my particular night, he sang pretty much the whole song exactly as the studio. it definitely sounded better than this performance. it was absolutely mindblowing
when you look at the poetry made it makes sense why this is the hardest song to sing for someone.
This is after like a 4 month tour these guys are crazy
Original key! Salute!
lucas' voice has improved IMMENSELY, it's crazy all the little technical things he can do now
Honestly incredible vocal tone
I did wonder how he'd sing this song live lol it's insanely HIGH
Not bad not bad live XD
Love this song so much.
Same ! I was thinking, if he can hit every note like on the album in a live performance, he's not human. This song is so hard to do one take ! Really well done though !
I saw them at Aftershock in Sacramento :) first time seeing them and I barely found out about them a few months prior and they became one of my favorite bands
Those double bass fills are NICE
I was there! Every time I see them live, they are unreal!
This encouraged me to start drumming again. Ive always been a fan of this song
Damn, what a voice
That singer, got total control of the stage! youre a king mate! ;)
What a voice
Damn, he sounds great!
COME TO PHILIPPINES PLEASE
Amen
Goosebumps at 3:20 when you hear the crowd singing with
I love how they just have fun with it, Their band, Their show, Their song, Absolutely killing it 🤙🤟
Man’s killing it
His voice sounds better live
I agree
I know I'm out of sight
But am I out of mind?
And when I close my eyes
I dream I'll see you in the afterlife
I'll pull those arrows from out of your back
One at a time
I know this bridge we built won't last
But it'll hold for at least a while
Even when the life leaves your bones
Your soul will follow me wherever I go
It's in the way I feel your fire even when I sleep at night
I stay inside your glow
I know I'm out of sight
But am I out of mind?
And when I close my eyes
I dream I'll see you in the afterlife
I know I'm out of sight
But am I out of mind?
And when I close my eyes
I dream I'll see you in the afterlife
I'll pull those arrows from out of your back
Time and time again
We know that nothing good can last
But what'll happen when we reach the end?
I'll never let you run out of time
You'll live forever in the back of my mind
It's in the way I feel your fire even when I close my eyes
You're always there to guide me home
I know I'm out of sight
But am I out of mind?
And when I close my eyes
I dream I'll see you in the afterlife
I lost a vital part of me
Lost a vital part of me
And now there's nothing left
I dream I'll see you in the afterlife
I dream I'll see you in the
I dream I'll see you in the
I dream I'll see you in the
I dream I'll see you in the
I lost a vital part of me (I dream I'll see you in the)
Lost a vital part of me (I dream I'll see you in the)
Lost a vital part of me (I dream I'll see you in the)
Lost a vital part of me (I dream I'll see you in the)
I know I'm out of sight
But am I out of mind?
And when I close my eyes
I dream I'll see you in the afterlife
Lost a vital part of me
Lost a vital part of me
Now there's nothing left
I dream I'll see you in the afterlife
Saw them live in Nottingham
Bravo!!!!!
Great quality video and audio!
God damn! So fucking good.
This is unreal man. Blessed to have seen this live
I absolute adore this band's sound, and I haven't stopped listening to this song since it came out, but I've got to say it, the drums are a bit busy. I'm a drummer myself and I totally understand the desire to embellish on what's in the recording when you play live, but the original parts are perfect and so tasteful from the entire band. Otherwise I can't fault it. Amazing band!
Eh I think he did a great job here
I thought it sounded great tho lol
Amo demais 🇧🇷❤️
Great, thanks for upload!
Awesome!!
🎉❤🎉❤🎉
And here I am 😆 Nice nice. I know this ain't easy to sing live 😅
They need a 2nd guitarist to backup vocal I need Lucas to full out every line
Wait... These guys are British!!!
Welsh not British
@@HollowRick They can be both though 😅
@@HollowRick Wales is in Britain.
This dude got jagger vibes
Chune
work ga bang di 2024?
Well, I actually think a lot of people gloss over the live versions of Holding Absence rather than being honest about it. Yes, they are good live but not nearly as far as I would say the studio version is. I just think you should do records that you actually are able to perform live in the same way as in the studio. Song is still a banger!
I think that they’re really good performers. Lucas has “starpower” he is good at dominating the stage and getting the crowd hyped.
@@iblastyou4819 doesn't change the fact that he isn't able to sing the songs in the original key. It's still a decent performance.
@@schneideriwnl This song is in the original key...
Music shouldn't be a dick measuring contest. I think a lot of artists would be hampered creatively if they limited themselves strictly to what they can replicate live.
The other side of it is that voices take wear and tear on the road, no way around it. You will fatigue your cords, it's 100% unavoidable. A studio voice on the other hand is fresh and well-rested.
This dude still fucking rips those notes insanely well for live. He is literally at the limit of the typical male voice. And has a lot more stability there than most people. The highest non-falsetto note he hits here is a C#5. That's a half-step higher than C5, which is considered the end of a tenor's range.
Fucking love this song 🤟❤️
