    Thank you for the tip for pulling a tiny part of the black foam to get the red layer off, I’ve been getting in a right mess trying to peel it off!

    Thanks so much for this. I need to hang up some items, but with a recovering dislocated arm, it's hard to drill right now. I believe this product will work. 👍

    Amazing video!!!. Thanks for sharing. I want to ask you is it a good idea to use this tape on the wood parts of a decorative wall fan? It is made out of thin wood and I am afraid that if later I want to remove the fan, the wood parts will break.

    • @KakiDIY
      @KakiDIY  2 месяца назад +2

      Thanks! Sadly this would be too strong for thin wood. Unless it will be there permanently

    Thank you for the video. However, I would have like to see this product, used, in a bathroom, where you get moisture from when you take a shower. I was suggested this product, to hold hook items up, that will hold shampoo, soap & small towels. (Side Note: I have an old soap dispenser I got from a Janitorial store. The adhesive that came with that soap dispenser, was REALLY good. Nott once, did it fall, in the shower set up, and on the mirror set up, by the bathroom sink. Sadly, I had to move, after being at the apartment for five years (new ownership, raised the rent double), and I could not save that old adhesive.) Have a good day!

    Is this stronger than the 3M vhb double sided tape? If i use this extreme with 3m 94 primer will it be stronger? Do you think it will be really strong for car dashboard to stick phone holder?

    • @KakiDIY
      @KakiDIY  Месяц назад

      We haven't had a chance to test the VHB. But the specs looked almost identical. The 3M Scotch seems to be the consumer version of the VHB
      3M VHB 5952
      Thickness = 0.045"
      Peel Adhesion (90°) = 22 lb/in or 39 N/cm
      Normal Tensile Strength = 620 kPa or 90 lb/in2
      Temperature Rating = -35°C 90°C
      3M Scotch Extreme Mounting Tape
      Thickness = 0.045"
      Peel Adhesion (90°) = 385 N/100 mm or 22 lb/in2
      Normal Tensile Strength = 585 kPa or 85 psi
      Normal Use Temperature = -35 to 93C (-30 to 200F)

    hi, does this work well outside in high humidity to mount a ring doorbell?

    • @KakiDIY
      @KakiDIY  4 месяца назад +1

      Yes, absolutely.. But when mounting.. do ensure that surfaces are dry in the first place.. use a hair dryer to be extra sure.

    Will it be removable from walls a few years from now? Pulling down on the wall (the way you showed to remove it) would maybe pull the paint off the wall?

    • @KakiDIY
      @KakiDIY  Месяц назад +1

      If it is a satin painted wall. Should not be a problem, paint won't come out

      Adhesive alone will not be able to withstand the pressure, unless it is just an aesthetic accessories, then these tapes are perfect. Try the automotive type of adhesive double sided tape

    Hi will work gypsum wall plaster??

    • @KakiDIY
      @KakiDIY  2 месяца назад +1

      It should if the surface is intact, clean and smooth. If ita flaky or breaking apart, probably a resurfacing or coating needed before sticking it.

    Hello sir.
    1. Do you recommend using this product on a ceramic kitchen backsplash?
    1b. The object I want to mount is a knife block. Would your answer differ depending on whether the knife block is a solid block of treated wood or if there is some sort of plastic backing? (Specific item is the Benchcrafted Mag-Blok, 18" Maple.)
    2. Are there special considerations to take into place for mounting something like knife blocks or hooks, where the gravitational force applied might have a non-negligible normal component? (In the case of my specific knife block, its depth is 20mm which seems to be within the design limit of the Extreme 3M indoor/outdoor mounting tape, but I also really want to know your thoughts on the general / edge cases.)
    3. I feel silly for even asking this 😅, but is there any case in which mounting tape could be used to mount something like a power brick to the bottom of a desk? I am using this example because I don't know the technical way to describe what I'm asking, so please ignore the fact that obviously we could just mount something to the leg of the desk, etc. So like... can we mount something by its head? 😂
    Thank you for your wonderful video. I came here because your video is referenced by Google's AI summary to answer my question, "should I use mounting tape vertically or horizontally". But I ended up watching your entire video from beginning to end. This is one of the few times in my life where I didn't want to skip a single second of a 7:34 minute video, because I didn't want to miss anything. Supreme knowledge density. You have my admiration and respect.

      Yes. This works well with Ceramic tiles and surfaces. However, ensure that the surface is clean and dry before applying it.
