Two completely different games lol. I'd understand like another game that drastically changed the gameplay but dark souls and kingdom hearts have a ton on similarities.
The problem for first time players like myself, playing the 1.5+2.5 remix on ps4, is there is such a drastically large gap in the combat systems. After spending 30+ hours playing, grinding, and beating the secret bosses, then playing with cards is just....fucked It just takes away from the story and everything else trying to readjust to the combat. I know for me I'm just trying to get through and ready for KH3, I really enjoy spending time playing and grinding in kh2 and plan to do everything boss again
You'll be glad to know, this video is still helping people after all these years. I'm doing a KH marathon and got about halfway through Sora's story before getting completely fed up with the awful card combat. On to 358/2 Days!

The main thing that bothers me is that battles dont take place on the field screens. You "encounter" enemies like in typical JRPG's and then the game has to load up a separate battle screen. The loading required and that transition is very jarring and disruptive to the flow of the game. The great flow between exploration and combat is something I really liked about the 1st game so its especially disappointing to me.
This game is one of gaming’s biggest bullshit moves. Who the hell thought it was a good idea to follow up a console game with a handheld GBA game and make it integral to understand KH2. I like many others skipped this game because the jump from 3D ps2 to GBA was too drastic, and as a result were confused as hell when KH2 came around.

It just wasn't for me. I appreciate them trying something different, and its not trash, but I did not like it personally. Thank god for this video tho cause I know the story is good and I dont want to be confused going into KH2.
I was fine with it, though it did get really boring for me... I much prefer the other KH games’ gameplay
Thank for the video i like KH so much and it hurts that i just dont like Re; Chain of Memoreis (because the cardsystem sucks balls)
The amount of people in here that can't count to a minimum of 10 is nuts.
ugh wtf are you saying at 4:24
Sorry bout that lol I said "the figure who led them there" I believe
Watching this because I’m skipping the game. No way I’m playing with this card system 2 times through 😂😂
If this game wasn’t required to understand the story I would’ve skipped over it entirely
Yeah Uh. thats why I'm gonna be watching a video of someone else explain it cuz I don't want to play it
