I really appreciate your perspective as an actual beginner. Like you said, most reviews are from people who are already experienced with 3D printers and while their former knowledge definitely has its own value, it's still not the same as hearing about it from someone who is actually brand new to all this. I'm probably going to order mine later today and I'm excited to get started : )
Welcome to 3d printing! I actually just got an A1 to replace my old Ender 3 because I realized what stopped me the most from enjoying the hobby was dealing with it's issues. One note though, you should have gotten a little tube with your printer that plugs into the top of the print head, and leads over to a little thing hanging off the back of the main arm by the spool. Run your filament through that. You may run into some issues just running it straight into the head tubeless. also you can use any of the 4 heads, the ams is what actually controls where it's sending the filament from. The head just pulls what it gets sent.
I have an X1C (only for a couple months, so I'm still very new to 3D printing as well), but always found myself with print jobs backing up, as I waited for them to complete. I couldn't pass up the deal on the Mini. I must say that it is one polished machine and the whole user experience it top notch. I liked it so much that I decided to buy it's big brother, the A1, as well. Believe it or not, short of the smaller print bed, I think the Mini is the nicer printer. It has a much nicer heat bed for one. Also, the A1 has a bigger footprint than my X1C! They both work phenomenally, but the Mini is an AMAZING deal at $200. I've been singing its praises to anyone who will listen. Believe the hype, folks.
i completely agree, I don’t think you can get a better printing/ easier to use machine than the a1 mini. the fact that it’s one of the cheapest printers on the market is just icing on the cake :)
I gotta say, I like the perspective of an actual beginner! My A1 I just got was only my second printer but I tinkered so much with it I finally decided I was done. I just wanted a tool that was reliable instead of a potential problem that might need hours of work at any point. Reason I even bring this up is my first printer (it was a Sovol SV06) cost $40 MORE than the baseline A1 Mini and I never got a print as clean as even the stock benchy on the A1. For anyone getting into 3D printing, friends and/or family members asking about it.. there really isn’t anything else I can recommend other than an A1 mini or full size. It’s such a leap in 3D printing and I’m sure other printers will catch up but the no-tinker is what will make this all more mainstream, and I think that’s a good thing.
I just ordered an A1 Mini today before discovering your videos. It'll be my first printer, so I appreciate you sharing your experiences as a beginner. I decided against getting the ams. If I enjoy printing, think I will upgrade to a larger printer and purchase it at that time.
Thanks for the video! I have been wanting a 3d printer since the Ender 3 v2. I'm glad I waited till this current gen of printer. A1 mini is a perfect starter. Great quick review. Looking forward to your journey! Subbed! 🤙🏽
You're autofocus is going mad! I recommend using manual focus for those static shots or maybe playing with your focus zone / sensitivity. Also for most case i would probably recommend using a higher aperture you dont need that much background blur especially when the autofocus is so jittery. Anyway great video, interesting perspective and welcome to 3d printing!
You are great at explaining things. I can't believe how great this printer seems to be compared to my archaic Ender 3 for not much money. I have to buy one asap.
I know I am a complete newbie but exactly how am I supposed to get my file that I want to print from my desktop computer to the A1 mini? The first test piece was loaded on the machine...

Thank you! This printer is so easy to use it makes me feel like a pro! You’re gonna love it

Thank you for the tips, i’ll go make sure it’s set up correctly!

Thanks for the video! I'll be in your shoes towards the end of the month when my printer arrives and I feel totally prepared now. Subbed!

Glad I could help! I feel like Ive already made so much progress, new video this week!
Brilliant, thanks for taking the time to make this very helpful video.
Thank you for checking it out! A ton more videos to come :)
I'm planning to buy this 3d printer. I'm a total newbie as well. After watching this, I'll have a better heads-up. 😄
Thanks for watching!

I completely agree, i didn’t realize until i was editing that i set my aperture so low 😅

You will not be disappointed!
Does it come with any filament or do I have to order that separately?
it will come with a small amount of test filament but you will have to order some separate
@ thank you!! I’m buying one for my son for Christmas 🎄

You need to connect your computer to the printer, I can make a video explaining it soon :)
A micro sd card is already 'on board' with some files. You can print them right away. And you can put files from your pc on that sd card.
You forgot the bowden tube!
You’re right! I had no idea what that tube was for at first. got it installed now
Thanks!
Thanks for watching!
Welcome to 3D printing!
Excited to be here!
For a month or two at best, till something new comes along
