  • Abbot Benedict Neenan, O.S.B., Abbot of Conception Abbey shares how he experienced the call to monastic life. He studied in the seminary to be a diocesan priest, spent years in Germany as a wood-carver, then discovered his attraction to Benedictine monasticism, particularly through its balance of prayer and work.

I am here, Lord! Use me! I hope and pray that I can soon fulfill what I believe is my raison d’etre and calling...to become a Benedictine!

benchamin john are you taking steps to becoming a Benedictine? I was suffering real bad depression too, but when I started making steps towards becoming Catholic, I feel so much better.
