Anytime you take someone else hiking with you, one of the best skills to have is knowing THEIR limitations. Good on you, Bjorn for keeping Elvis feeling safe, secure and comfortable during his whole "adventure"! It looks like you both had a great time and Elvis was such a GOOD BOY!

Nice video Björn. I'm spending most of my time hiking in the national park on the Czech-Bavarian border. Plenty of waterfalls, lakes, rivers and history. This is where the Iron curtain used to be. So it's a well protected and preserved area. Also the Alps. Last weekend I walked for about 20km and was planning to get a local small train (Bahn) back to my car. The train stop was hidden in the woods next to a river gorge. Guess what happened? The train never stopped for me even though I waved my hand and I had to walk these 20km all the way back to my car and of course the rain moved over the area just as the train dissappeared in the woods. Nevertheless, it was a great adventure. Things usually don't get as planned but that's what makes our experiences more interesting. I like your videos as we are on the same page on many topics you talk about.

In the UK it is "Take only photographs, leave only footprints." Really enjoyed the relaxed feel of the video in beautiful country and a dog companion improves almost any film :)

Elvis can hear and smell things for miles around way better than our human senses.
Camping is the best thing ever! I would love to go camping with my dog. She could scare off all the wolves and bears here in the Pyrenees (I think there are a few haha), but I don't know how I would deal with all the ants.
Elvis has some serious gear lol, nothing better than snuggling up to your dog hearing the rain pitter patter on the tent

Your headache could be from dehydration. Drink lots of water while walking. Nice to see your dog so well taken care of. Norway reminds me of Canada's landscape. Beautiful. Its so relaxing to be out in nature, hearing the lovely birds and their orchestra. Such a beautiful video.

What a wonderful idea! A raincoat for Elvis! At the beach, they have life vests for dogs. It makes their weight lighter & easier for them to swim for a longer time. They don't get too tired too fast with the vests on. What beautiful scenery! Thanks Bjorn!

I have an Alaskan Malamute her name is Ava and I have 10 acers and a log cabin in Michigan's upper peninsula in Iron County...Ava never gets tired....she is 2 years old

We have ticks, which are often carrying diseases. Apart from that, no animals that are dangerous to humans.
Wow! No dangerous animals?? I also noticed you appear to be relaxed on your walks. I’m from Upper Michigan and we have mountain lions, coyotes, wolves and bears. My head is always on a swivel. Thank you for the videos

Hey Bjorn ~ I LOVE Tent camping as does my little Maltese. Your waters are a lot like the crystal clear Colorado - Rocky Mountain streams I remember in the late 1950’s. Thank You for sharing Your beautiful natural areas in Norway! Elvis reminds me of a dog breed I love called ‘Whippets’. My Maltese has white hair that can grow very long. I keep it shaved in summer. She would have fun walking those trails but she’d get tired long before Elvis! Lol
Hi Randy. Elvis is actually a galgo, which is between whippets and greyhounds in size. The Maltese are wonderful dogs!

Words can't describe how much I love Scandinavian nature. Norway is beautiful. I visited your country in 2019 and I will return. For me it is something highly emotional to watch anything Scandinavia related, it's connected to a special feeling I can't put into words. So one more Outdoor Channel from a Scandinavian country means a lot to me. Thank you from Germany.

I think the moon is about ‘half’ in the upper right of the video around ‘7.8’ - very cool! The orange dog coveralls are awesome. My Maltese has a winter snowsuit like it. The leash clips are nice to have! 👍🏻😃

Beautiful location, and awesome dog! My dog also loves camping and sleeping in a tent - I now have a pit bull-boxer-cattle dog mix (not the dog in my pic). Hiking and being outdoors is the BEST care for your mental health. I wish I didn't have to work and could spend most of the week outdoors and hiking.

I live in Northern Canada and have a whippet. He doesn't need a coat until it gets to about -5 Celsius, 1 coat to about -12 C and then 2 coats any lower than that and boots for - 20 C. Sight hounds are thin and seem fragile but he is quite hardy and comes winter camping with us. As long as he can keep moving he is happy, as soon as we stop he has a sheep skin bedroll and dog size down filled blanket. LOL not too pampered. I'm watching your vids from the beginning. This is one down :)
Whippets are a bit hardier, I believe. My dogs were actually born in Spain. But they do fine as long as we have a hot tent and our big sleeping bag where we all can sleep, haha.
Great video and scenery, I am hoping to make it to Norway one day soon, and watch the beautiful northern lights in the northest city in Norway!!! For the headaches, I suggest stop the coffee for a while and then change the brand 🥰🔥🦋🙏🐕🍻🏕🎶 I was looking forward to you making the fire and pitching the tent n eating the food 🥰
