What a wonderful vlog! Glad your experiment turned out positive, but, the best bits were the photos of the planets and space, and the dogs so enjoying themselves on the beach. Again, the music perfectly fitted the footage. I am gradually making my way through your vlogs and, so far, they are GREAT. Thank you.
What a lovely comment Glynnis. We did have a great afternoon but my daughters big digs suffered in the heat so we couldn’t reach all the planets. We took ages with editing the music to fit so it’s really nice when somebody notices what was done. Thanks so much 🐶🐶🧙♂️🚐🙏
I’ve learnt a lot about space and the planets and think that would be a lovely walk/bike ride. I was so cute to watch Luna and Mia playing on the beach. Take care Gill
I’d love to take my bike Gill. You never know, we might make it all the way to Pluto next time as long as we put the dogs in the basket ! They do love a run on the beach though . Hope you’re doing ok. Ellie 😊
Fantastic and interesting vlog. You find the most amazing places to visit with some fascinating walks and discoveries. Graham, your space photos are amazing, that looks like a really special telescope to photograph those, absolutely fascinating. It was great to see Maya and Luna running on the beach. You were treated to some amazing sunsets. I wonder why there ended up being 4% difference in the batteries at the end of your stay? Solar is great isn’t it as next time you go away everything is back at 100% 😀 Have a wonderful weekend, all the best, David & Rachel 👍❤️
Thanks both. We don’t know why the batteries have those % differences. Graham has got used to it now, but if he was doing the job again he would take the same route as you with the single battery. He did well with those space pics. Reckon you would probably like the technical side of it all David. Have a lovely weekend 😊
Another good one guys, love your observatory Graham, we used to holiday in Sospel in the French Alps Maritime on the Italian border with fabulous night skies. One year we were opposite a Dutch family who had a huge telescope with them and a couple of times I went up to the top of the site with the father which was so interesting as he was using a laser pointer to show the various stars etc, turns out he was the Dutch Health Minister. That was the year I had to shame a solo British male camper van owner off the site for shall we say unwanted attention towards our 15 year old daughter but that's another story. I was a bit disappointed your solar didn't put more in to the batteries presumably you still have the 100w panel. Cheers K
Hi Karlos. Space is so fascinating isn’t it? Amazing what’s up there. Graham started with stargazing to begin with and then it developed into photography. Funny how it was the Dutch Health Minister who showed you the stars! Shame that British camper had his eyes elsewhere! Pleased all was well in the end. Having 2 daughters ourselves we know where you were coming from. Yes. We still have the 100w panel. Think we may need to upgrade. Eric and Bertie ( the batts) are quite hefty and take a lot to charge up if relying purely on solar. Much quicker on EHU or B to B. Have a good weekend 😊
Thank you George. There was very little solar to be had that weekend and our two batteries are quite big. But the solar would struggle when we are cooking electric from the batteries. Glad you enjoyed the video. 🧙♂️👍🚐🙏🐶🐶
Interesting to see your power experience. Amazing space photography Graham, my knowledge on the planets is woefully lacking but could still appreciate the beauty. Know the Maunsel area well. Dogs on beach - 😍.
Hi Andrea. Thanks for your lovely comments. It’s amazing to think that all that stuff is going on out in space isn’t it? Maunsel beach was lovely and fully exploited by Maya and Luna as you saw🤣.
Hi. The B2B we have firs work well. But this was a test not to drive. A bit difficult to position another panel on the roof but yes you are right it would help. I have sone fold up panels that I am hoping to rig up in sone way. Thanks for your comment. We do appreciate it. 🐶🐶🐶🧙♂️🚐🙏👍
Enjoyed this, stunning photos Graham, what a talent 😎. Ellie I love the electric pot, any chance of a full review of that? Good work on the batteries 🔋 Best wishes Em xx
Hi Em. Pleased you liked the Astro pictures. Yes, I will do a full review of the Hitric pot. We need to check accurate wattages to review properly. Very impressed with it so far. Stay safe and well 😘xx🧙♂️
Some great pics there! As for the battery experiment definitely worth “using” the lithium as you can’t really hurt it, we did 6 days no hook up recently (Agm) and although we didn’t go mad we were down to 11.9v occasionally (some of the time we were in full shade as we’d pitched under a huge tree) I’m thinking of a larger solar panel, you can fit a 150w in the same space as the existing 100w best I was pulling was 4-5amps in full sun we couldn’t manage with no lpg and I think off grid heating in autumn and winter is the real tester….
Yeah you are right a bigger solar panel is needed. I am looking at that. When we were 8 days off grid on Skye in the winter obviously we used the LPG heating but still managed some electric cooking. Our motto is if you got spare electric use it, if you don’t LPG is the cavalry. My B2B puts at least 4 times the power of the solar and charges the batteries really quick but of course that only works if you are moving the van but does also work if there is no sunshine. We all use what we have got. Wringing the most out of it. Loving the look of your new bikes G 🙏🚐🐶🐶👍🧙♂️
Glad you liked the Vlog. The wind was brilliant for flag activation 🤣. Think you will like next Fridays video as there are some lovely dog running scenes 🙏🚐🐶🐶👍🧙♂️
Can beat a bit of salad cream lol. Love the stuff. That cooker at the start looked great. Going to look at one of those. We like canal walks and what a sunset from the campsite. Photos were great, what do you use for those? Must be some cracking equipment.
You would like the canal walk. Not to many people there. The equipment is very complex and also expensive. Basically there is electronic mount that will track the stars or whatever target you want. A high quality telescope along with a dedicated mono camera with multiple electric drive filter system. Oh and some nice dark sky 😂. The nebula photos were around 36 hours exposure over about 7-8 nights. If you want to see anymore have a look at my Flickr account under grahamxx Thanks fir the comment guys G 🙏🐶🐶🚐👍🧙♂️
What’s the cooker at the start as interested if that 300w is at startup to or if it spikes and also if it is really 300w or 310 etc - trying to find useful devices off our 300w max poweroak ie 305 it shuts down Very interesting
We do love the small Hytric cooker. It says max 600 on the plate. It is 300 on the lower setting. Heats really quickly and so easy to clean. £35.99 Amazon. They state Low power mode is 300 watts. Doesn’t seem to spike like an induction hob. But couldn’t guarantee it as it’s silent in use. At least you could return it to Amazon if you only try it with water. Just a thought
@@parsnip7349 I think I will add that to list of vlogs to film. I have one going out soon about our DC to DC which might interest you. 21st November that one comes out. 🐶🐶🚐🧙♂️🙏
Well, as you can imagine, I loved this one! Those batteries did you proud! Who needs LPG!
Thanks. We always love it when we can use a bit of “free” power. Especially these days ! 😊
Another good video. Lovely sunset. The girls loved that beach.👍
Thanks Colin. Pleased you enjoyed it, complete with crazy dogs🤣
Glad the batteries worked well. Loved the photos of the planets etc. 👍
Coped with all our needs over the 3 days. So we were very pleased. Thanks 😊
What a great and interesting experiment. A nice walk too and some stunning astro photography. 👍
Thanks Tim. Graham has always been into the night sky. Take care 😊
Wow Graham, these photos are ace 📸 👌
Thanks Darran. It’s nice when they are appreciated. 🙏🐶🐶🚐👍🧙♂️

We loved the Bongo to. Moved up to a CV40 now. Much more room. Thanks for watching. 🙏👍🚐🐶🐶🧙♂️
@@Wizardinthewild After 7 years of fun, we swapped our Bongo for a motorhome last December. The extra space is much needed as you get older 😂
