I don't know much about music theory or the physiology of the human respiratory tract, but to my amateur ears, there's generally a difference in quality, not just pitch, between baritones' and sopranos' voices? Would anyone be able to confirm this observation and explain its cause? Or instead, if I'm wrong, explain a possible reason for my mishearing?
well already to start the high voices, so soprano are easier to reach than the low or just low voices. It also concerns the vocal cords, which in the treble voices there will be less air which passes, therefore logically more precise in the notes affected, and the lower voices which we hear less and with more air, therefore less precise , after that it depends of course on the lyrics and the singers, but mainly here it is :)
It's nice to see Jodie doing some comedy. I actually liked an actor playing Papageno in a full production. Possibly Emanuel Schikaneder was an actor/singer like me. He also wrote libretti like "the Magic Flute".
Que du bonheur! Merci
Adieu Jodie Devos.
